I don't know if is pointless, from my research of them and following their manager on twitter, I would reckon only a max of 3 of their players would be expected to be sold for a 7 figure sum. So you can really narrow the list down.

I am guessing it is Marriot, but you never know

    its the title mainly -

LATEST NEWS: Peterborough United accept a million-pound bid for a League One player

The tweet said nothing of a million pound bid.

But yeah, 3 or 4 players tops could be worth a mil or more.

  2. Whoever wrote that article has got it completely wrong. The tweet stated that a 7-figure bid has been accepted for one of their players - not a 'million pound' bid. So the whole article trying to figure out which players would be worth selling for a million quid is pointless. It could quite easily be Marriot or Maddison as a seven-figure fee could be anywhere between 1,000,000 and 9,999,999.

Whatever anyone says about fitba the fact is that Scotland has the highest attendances at football per capita in the world and has had since anyone can remember. That may be hard for people to accept but it is a fact. There’s a lot wrong with the product but it’s obviously not all bad as that amazing fact bears out.

Yes English football is of a higher standard but that has been hugely exaggerated in the modern era due to the money available while when things were more even back in the 80s there wasn’t that much between the 2 leagues.

Followers of English football should stop sneering and think about the ills of your own crime and corruption riddled league before having a go at other supposedly inferior leagues. And by the way the last month or so this year the SPL was exciting and competitive, unlike the EPL which seemed dull and predictable in comparison. Maybe you should adopt a split system as well.

A month or so of competitiveness when for the last 30/40 years only two teams have won the league.

The fact he is clearly putting effort in means he gets a clean slate from me to prove me wrong that he isn't good enough for rovers. Let's hope he somehow learns how to be composed when his chance comes over the summer

Same - I like the effort. Kudos for that and he gets a new bite of the cherry from me. Not confident he has what it takes buy you cannot knock the dedication here.

Loads were talking to me scroll further

So I scrolled back (though I didnt need to as was online when you was posting). Everybody was talking about Dack speculation, you brought up interest in McGeoch from other clubs and Bigdog was the only one to entertain conversation with you. Where is this loads? There was one Irish guy before you went on full attack at the English.

Btw - a whole thread has been opened up especially for you to talk about Scottish football...

OK, I will try one more time. It's nothing personal against Scotland, the Scottish league, Mrs Doubtfire, haggis or battered Mars bars. I just don't think Fulham , or any Premier league team, will be in for McGeoch. I hope we sign him.

You reckon he could go straight to the premiership obviously?

Battered mars bars - only the Scottish.

How Im I meant to know what he is?

I get that a few of you might not think Scottish fitbaw is not as bad as made out

But your in the majority even your gaffer struggled up here for years there are gems up here McGeuoch is free and has had as good a season as McGinn who they want 6 million for

If ive upset anybody I am sorry

Just sick of the usual Scottish footballs pub league patter if it is dish me out some numbers of your pub teams pretty sure I could still play ???

You went off at a tangent at English posters being arrogant about Scottish players, when the only person who was in conversation with you - was Irish.

Why is it that most people who consider themselves to be “boycotters” expect big signings, lots of money spent and have high expectations?

Surely those things are irrelevant to people who are only concerned with the prospect of new owners? Surely, those who say NAPM wouldn’t care if the owners spent money or not?

As Bob Fleming pointed out, the veil slips so often with “MGPINSERTNEWNAMESLAYER” and Jal that they’re both a complete laughing stock. Real world indeed..

I'm a boycotter but quite the opposite. if they wont leave the club - at least leave it in as best shape as possible.

@Mrgeoffpeters has posted below on his Twitter feed.

Premier League new boys Cardiff plus Middlesbrough and West Brom are among the clubs interested in signing Blackburn's Bradley Dack.

The £6m-rated midfielder helped Rovers win promotion to the Championship and was voted League One player of the season.

£6m might get you his beard but thats about all.

When he was having his 'purple patch' he was missing some absolute sitters, especially with his head. It's that he should be working on. I can run up hills with me undies round me knees*

    *I can't, but that's not the point.

I guess that aspect will come when preseason starts though.

Do like that he is getting well ahead with his fitness though and its commendable he is doing this while most of the others will probably be lashing it up somewhere right now. Guess he knows he has his work cut out if he wants to remain in contention, especially with the possibility of other forwards being brought in during the summer.

Never seen odds for getting into the play offs, but we are between 28 to 40/1 to win the Championship at the moment

    https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/winner

Between 8 and 16/1 for promotion

    https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/promotion

and between 4 to 5/1 for relegation

    https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/relegation

Having had successful bets over the last two seasons (relegation / promotion ) will be keeping my money in my pocket this season, unless of course the advisors recommend binning Mowbray and appointing a new outstanding candidate called Steve Coyle, then all in on relegation :)

Whack some on promotion...you might just be our lucky charm.

Bloody hell, How many folk are on his list?

Never understand putting people on ignore, surely this is a place to debate with people you disagree with? All a little ‘fud’ esque for me.

Thing is, he doesnt even block some of us - just pretends he does. He slipped with me by directly replying to one of my posts not so long ago.

Sorry Stuart but you are wrong.

I gave Coyle a chance to prove me wrong but he didnt. I was never a fan of him. One of the worst appointment in Rovers history.

Yes I gave him some praise in some games when it was deserved but plenty cricticism when it was deserved.

    About 20 people.

you wanted him sacked, then you didnt, then you did and then you didnt...

the whole reason the chadometer was invented.

But Heckingbottom wasn't a poor choice tho. He done excellent at Barnsley.

Watford and Chelsea might will have successful but look at other clubs who havent like Swansea, Leeds, Birmingham, etc.

I believe in given a manager a proper chance and time. You appoint a manager for a reason so why backtrack so quickly. Unless it was a mess and you are in bottom 3 and manager who record is awful or things are well behind the scenes like De Boer at Palace or Coyle here or Coleman/Grayson at Sunderland.

Leeds hire and fire policies over the last few years have achieve nothing but disappointment and failure to make the playoffs.

I have nothing against foriegn managers at all but I prefer an British manager. I know if Mowbray was to leave tomorrow I know who my 3 choices shortlist would be. No foriegn manager would be on that list. Just for record I hope Mowbray doesnt anywhere for a number of years to come

I have known a lot of hypocrites, but you my friend - are the most boring of the lot.

Lampard will do well with no experience.

Beisla will fail despite an impressive CV

Heckingbottom deserved more time despite 4 wins in 16 games (form far worse  than the previous manager with same squad)

Why are we so far behing france and germany in terms of talent...their squads are incredible, we barely have any players in the second bracket...i hope it all changes when our world cup winning underage groups come through

Thats the hope I guess, our youngsters have been winning everything on the world stage in the lower age groups. Surely in the next 5-10 years we should have an excellent crop to choose from.

Problem is, our youngsters dont find it easy getting into first teams due to the foreign influx.

Sorry to bring up the untouchable name up but now recovering, so back to transfer speculation.

i see Stephen Ireland has just been released at Stoke.  Anyone fancy a punt on him, big risk admittedly but still in his early 30's and can certainly pick a pass.  Maybe too injury prone but just a thought.

Good player in his prime but signing like this just make me hark back to the days of Murhpy et al. id love for us to sign an older player and it work out for us so that I can stem the dread whenever we are linked to any.

    Tugay, you got a son?

To be fair, it seems that under Heckingbottom, theyve actually gone backwards compared to under Christensen, his record albeit only over 16 games is incredibly poor, the fans seem unanimous in their response, its like with Lambert, patience is only good if you see signs of progression, and as I said and the stats prove, they have slid further under Heckingbottom.

Not sure you can go down the "not another foreign manager" route either, I know you like promoting British managers but theyve given many a chance over the last few years, Redfearn, McDermott, Hockaday, Monk, Evans and now Heckingbottom and it hasnt worked for any of them.

Bielsa seems to be a bit of a firecracker but hes a bit of a tactical revolutionist whose managed some big clubs and is highly respected by managers including Guardiola and Pochettino, so maybe it would be a far more exciting appointment than someone like McLaren, Lee Johnson, Dean Smith, or than a total novice like a Lampard or a Gerrard.

Agree, think they were in playoff contention when he took over. He then won just 4 games in 16. Hardly enough to earn the gig for longer IMO.
