I frequently had pie butties in my youth. Can't say it mattered which pie though. Meat pie, butter pie, cheese and onion. My mates thought I was mad.

West Brom unable to match OUR package?
The difference is baggies might go up and are out of pocket by £10m. Unless we sign a striker too we won't need the £10m

I bet you a charity £10 we sign at least two players before our next game 🙂
Out of interest, is that our next league or are you suggesting we'll have them in before the weekend.

Porteous should be focusing on how much he will be playing for his next club and what he can achieve there not just about the money
You're either very naive or just utterly deluded.

Talking nonsense. He was saying it in a joking way after been asked a question. Non story.
I'd say only half joking. I think there was a gentle dig in there too.

The Re-emergence of JRC is mental, he actually looks quite good now.
What a difference a good coach can make.
The issue remains that he's made of glass , so we can't really rely on him.

I have seen absolutely nothing from Hirst to convince me he will make it, as a pro footballer.
He is a pro footballer and 14 goals in league 1 suggests he has made it. Not at the top level obviously and I agree it's unlikely he will. But pro football is played further down the chain than the championship.

Someone on LT comments saying we're signing Van Hecke for £350k in Jan and Dembele is on his way too.
It's like Tony never left...
I'd love to know what they've been smoking if they think we'll get JPvH for that amount. Wouldn't be surprised if dembele rocks up tho.

I know we're all on a downer with JDT but this has got to be seen as a positive.
To be fair I'm still in 'give the guy a chance' territory. When appointed he said it'll take more than a couple of windows. We are higher up the league than I expected us to be despite playing admittedly poor football at times. If the last bloke was given 5yrs the least we can do is give JDT a couple more windows before we judge him. Those 4 players effectively being given the boot is definitely a positive though I hope Markanday comes good and returns a better player.

What about Zurab Khizanishvilli? He was a solid but unremarkable defender for us in the Hughes days. 4th choice behind Nelsen, Samba and Ooijer but always seemed to do his job when called upon!
Didn't he sometimes cover left back too or have I imagined that. Either way was a great back up to have. BTW as you mention Samba there's a programme about him on sky sports tomorrow at 7pm. May be a repeat but I've never seen it so will tune in.

He's a Rovers reporter, he's going to have contacts at the club.
The club confirming who we aren't in for (Styles, Bowler) is different to confirming who we are in for (Brittain) as there's no risk in confirming the former.
Or we are in for him and the club are using sharpe to throw other clubs off the scent. (I don't even believe this to be true myself BTW but it can't be ruled out)

Was actually me, was seeing how many people would bullsh*t that they've seen him near the STC or that they have several connections etc.. worked a treat and everyone got themselves in a worry we had set our sights on a 'marquee' signing...
Not everyone though. I for one certainly didn't buy your nonsense and told you so

I can also confirm that I have heard suggestions that Ross Barkley is due at the STC tomorrow for discussions and further, a medical.
Lol. You're certainly not afraid to continue peddling this nonsense. Got a few bites anyway.

To be fair Raya was sent on loan to Southport and he's just been sold for £30m.
