They still hold the right to buy the player if they choose to. Nobody else can sign him until they make that decision unless they pay off Bordeaux (to end the option) and Malmo to buy him.
I'm sure they must have a deadline to complete the deal regardless. Anyway, I would imagine we aren't at the front of the queue for his services 🙁

Anel Ahmedhodzic isn't going anywhere until the Bordeaux relegation appeal is sorted. They have first dibs as they hold a buy clause as part of the loan deal.
They are appealing relegation to the third tier as I understand it. They can't appeal the relegation to ligue 2 so I'm not sure why it would delay anything

Chaddy in “I’ve mentioned him on here” shocker whenever Rovers are linked with a player 😂😂
The term 'throw enough shit some will stick' springs to mind.

Cantwell would be a top signing - potentially the best player in the championship. However there are big questions over his attitude meaning there is a certain amount of risk.
Personally would rather us go for Twine who is available for 3m. Also not snapping up Darling for 1.5m is a massive shame - he’ll be a big success at Swansea
If a manager of the calibre of Dean Smith is prepared to let him go, alarm bells should be ringing.

Can't believe we still haven't appointed a manager.
Players back in on Monday, shortened preseason, not looking all that promising with the amount of work the squad needs.
It's grim for sure. Hoping the next time @unleadedposts it's a 5 minute warning.

If it is Jon Dahl then I'll get behind him. I just hope it turns out to be inspired though I have my doubts

I know little about JDT other than he’s seemingly succeeded with the tasks he’s had
A friend from that part of the world told me to be prepared to be bored to death, when asked if he didn’t rate him he said it’s not a slight on his managerial style more his dull personality
I think he'd struggle to out-dull Mowbray to be fair.

Cant say I'm arsed about Deila. Doesn't really feel right to me. Not sure about Jon Dahl either to be honest. I'd take Rooney in a heartbeat and I never thought I'd be saying that

Blackburn Rovers prepare to enter talks with highly-rated Kjetil Knutsen

Not sure that's the most reliable of sources tbh. It's starting to feel like this is going to roll on into at least next week.

I don’t think it is the barometer. It’s just that Deila is close to the top of the betting list.
From what Swanson says, earlier in the thread, it would appear that Knutsen and Broughton don’t get on, so it may well have to be Broughton and a n other.
Given the refusal to comment from Rovers and Deila's representatives regarding talks I'm inclined to think Ronny is on his way, providing agreement can be reached with NYC

DoF seems like a really interesting appointment and one that can build on our Category 1 academy and philosophy of promoting youth as Mowbray supported to his credit over the last 5 years.
I do wonder why this wasn’t done sooner though so he could aid the recruitment of a suitable manager who aligns with this vision.
We haven't recruited a manager yet so maybe he will/has. He mentions in his interview after being appointed that 'everything is in place'. Can we now expect an imminent announcement of a manager. Without wishing to sound like Chaddy, hopefully we will get an announcement by the end of this week.

oops, typo, Wagner.
Could do a lot worse than Wagner I think. It's all a matter of opinion though. Personally I'm not keen on Warne but then there's a slight possibility I know less than waggot, so I wouldn't listen to me 😂

Maybe it’s got so bad we’re looking at Aussie cricketers now? 😉
The pitch at Ewood floods as it is in heavy rain. Don't need David Warner crying on the sidelines adding to it 😂

I wonder which way around it is:
a) We're agonising between a number of competing and really keen applicants
b) We're begging mildly interested targets to join the 'project'.
I suspect the latter, no bugger (of repute) wants to come and we're too shit scared of ending up with no one that we haven't dotted the no hopers on the head just in case.
It's only guess work but probably not a million miles away and if so how bloody embarrassing. Are we really that much of a basket case club that we can't actually get a manager ... any manager.
If Ferguson or Warner stump up then I'm out of here, permy. What am I hoping for, well at this stage one of Ainsworth, Delia or the Rotherham guy. Anything else is beyond dismal. But is landing one of those three really what would have made us happy at the beginning . I think not.
What's happened to my club?!
Who's Warner?? Do you mean Warne, and if so he's the Rotherham guy.

If we are out of decent options, and it sure sounds like we are, I would give it to a former player, no matter how bad they've done. Dunn or Tugay. Friedel? I understand the risks. But I just desperately miss having someone in leadership that cares about the club.
In that case you'd give it to Ainsworth. At least he has a track record in management.
