And I gave you my opinion depending on what type of striker we want and budget we have.

Probably Charles or Nisbet but can't give a proper opinion on Healey or Dale due to not seen them live or know enough about their overall game

Can't give a proper opinion on Healey but you spent the last fortnight banging his drum🤔🤔🤔

Most managers on discovering that the club was searching around for a successor would resign on the spot.

    Tony wants his payoff though

Not 100% on this, but if he found out they were searching for his successor behind his back, would he not claim constructive dismissal. So pay off basically sorted.

Looks very erratic from those film clips. Is a young unproven winger really what we need? And what is Chapman supposed to make of it - the lad is 23 and should be a regular now. He will feel this is another kick in the teeth

It's a bizarre signing in my view and smacks of desperation just to get a body in.

Maybe it's an effort to push chapman out the door now he's signed a deal. Can get a few pennies for him, who knows.

They've started this fresh approach with homegrown or cheap youth so might as well see it through now.

500k for this lad who might come good or a 500k loan fee for someone who'll be gone in a season. Or 500k in wages for a 28 yrd old who'll only manage 12 games ?

It's a lottery whichever way it goes but we've done 2 of those options to death and gone nowhere.

A fresh approach?? So we have had another reset then!!

I reckon they’ll get Lenihan and a couple more done. Worry most about Nyambe and Rothwell. I’m pretty sure we’d get some compensation for Nyambe but I’d be looking to sell Rothwell. He ran his contract down at Oxford too…that’s the way he makes his money.

Think we can forget about Nyambe and Rothwell signing. I'd sell the latter if the opportunity arose. Not sure we have adequate cover for Nyambe or I'd sell him too. In defence of Rothwell running his contract down, I believe we tried to sign him in a previous window but Oxford didn't accept the bid, so he ran down his last few months. May be wrong on that though.

Mowbray said the other day he had NO conversation with Obafemi. Do you different?

I just feel we are being messed around by him and his agent.

Time for him to make a decision

That's why he do you research on players and speak to their agent to see if they would be interested in coming here first before bidding for them.

We have been chasing him for weeks now and seems the lad can't make a decision. So Mowbray and Rovers need to strong enough to say to him and his agent we need a decision now please otherwise we are moving on. Time we stop pursuing played who don't want to come to us

Mowbray said Nyambe was injured and would be out for a period of time last season. He played the next game. I wouldn't believe anything that comes out of his mouth frankly. That said, I agree I don't think Obefami is keen to come, but also take on board what other posters have said about the size of the decision for him personally and professionally. We could really do with an end to the whole saga.

Tbf I'm going off Football Manager here lol, but their attention to detail on the systemic things is generally spot on. We would still be due some compensation if he moved before pro terms, but it would be small potatoes compared to what you'd normally hope to get from a Prem side. I think that's what happened with Callum Wilson (if I'm remembering the name right) when Leicester swooped in. We got something like 500k or 1 million I think.

Yep that's what worried me. Mind you Callum Wright(I believe it's that, Wilson is at Newcastle) hasn't really kicked on. Not as yet anyway.

Don't think they can sign pro terms until they're 17. Although I assume you can get a pre-contract agreement in place.

Maybe you're right I don't know how it works. I've not seen the lad but those who have are speaking highly of him. Would be nice if there were some guarantees for us so the Premier league vultures don't steal our talent.

Heard a bit about Ash Phillips but he has to be seen to be believed! Turned 16 in June and he’s an absolute mammoth. Only a scholar but already got an England call up at U17’s level and has basically skipped the U18’s at Rovers altogether!

6ft 3” and still growing, physical, able on the ball. Wow. Definitely one to watch!

Hopefully get him tied down long term then before he's another one gone on the cheap

This isn’t itk or possible news by source but I have had a text from an old pal who is a Peterborough fan and he has said that rumours are around that Rovers are interested in one of their players who isn’t in the starting 11 today. I’ve no idea who it is and what position the player normally operates from.

Any idea if he was in the starting 11 last week so we can narrow it down 😂

They celebrated like they'd won the league! It's one game. They may keep doing it but who knows?

To be fair they had played in the Premier league for the first time in their history. A new stadium, and fans back for the first time in months, and they deservedly won. Fair play to them and why not celebrate. That said I don't like their manager, I'm incredibly jealous of their success and club structure and I hope they go down 😂😂

  12. Did he say he was hopeful of 2 in by Friday. That's going well I see. One gone back to Brighton 'injured' and the other is still deciding. Think it's time Billy the bullsh*t man moved on from Obefami, he obviously don't want to come, and go to his 5 or 6 other options he claims we have. Lol, more bollocks from his mouth. As others have said use the Armstrong money and bin the lot of them. I'd love Wilder but I'm aware that's 'unrealistic' for some fans, what with us only having billionaire owners. So maybe Davidson or Ainsworth as they may be more affordable. One thing is for sure they'll be more effective than the current incumbent.
