  1. Definitely the silly season ... Leeds United midfielder, Ao Tanaka thought to be of interest to a number of championship clubs. Leeds want at least £8m for the versatile oriental. Blackburn Rovers most keen, but are only willing to do a swap deal.
  2. Another clown who should be nowhere near ownership of a football club . Wednesday banned from making ANY signings for the next three windows.
  3. Markandy signed for Chesterfield. 3 year deal
  4. And he already has a boot contract with Nike apparently šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
  5. Have no doubt that Wrexham will be fine in the championship this season, just unsure they will be as high flying as some seem to think.
  6. Have to wait to see who else they sign , but its not a signing that makes me think "yeah, they're really going for it this season "
  7. Part of Jackson's article regarding transfers and contract renewals Pretty much says it all in a couple of sentences :
  8. But I thought everyone on here said he talks shit anyway?
  9. So Szmodics admits he refused to play for the team to force through move to Ipswich Does this put him on the same level as Gestede then, or is all forgiven? https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25239630.sam-szmodics-blackburn-rovers-exit-ipswich-transfer/
  10. €3m euros or Ā£700,000 ? Take your pick, certainly don't trust transfer market ! The truth probably somewhere in between.
  11. Even if Travis and Tronstad stay , going to need cover and competition in that area surely? Can't think of anyone else really in the squad that can adequately cover for those two
  12. Reports on internet saying Derby after Sanderson for around £1m and Paudie O'Connor from Lincoln as CBS. If true (!) perhaps had a change of heart over Batth ?
  13. May be reading to much into this but Michael Nade, who Jackson thought was an alternative to Modibo Sagnan, appears to be saying goodbye to the fans on his Instagram account from what I can gather. Like I say may be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.
  14. Two of Sparky's best signings (and there were some great ones) Free transfer and £400,000. Unbelievable business
  15. Dire stuff. Madueke the only one to come out of that half with any sort of respectability. Watched Spain v France the other night, fantastic game, the difference in quality is alarming between us and them
  16. True, none of us (other than the keepers) know how good or otherwise Benson is. It just gets a bit tiresome when people with no knowledge of his ability as a coach criticise him with no foundation.
  17. Maybe because of this , Goddard , "I’m very grateful to have two great goalie coaches in Ben Benson and Chris Renshaw, and for their continued support and belief in me."
  18. Maybe this guy wasn't given a proper chance to adjust to the championship .... Good bit of business for once, pity we don't have 40% sell on for Adam Wharton
  19. Have to agree. Disappointing perhaps, but not a disaster imo. Centre backs are probably the easiest position to pick up bargains, and if we do sign the French lad then I'm sure we can pick up a cheap alternative somewhere. Weimann would be a bench warmer, so again I'm prepared to see what the recruitment team comes up with in that position. We all know Eustaces preference for older players , but somewhere down the line that policy will come back to haunt you.
  20. Interesting about Drameh, saying interest has increased recently... As reported last week, Hull City's Cody Drameh is a target to strengthen Rovers' right-back options. However, their interest has developed beyond the initial inquiry stage.
  21. Blackburn Rovers are in advanced talks to sign Montpellier centre-back Modibo Sagnan, The Lancashire Telegraph can exclusively reveal. Rovers are looking to make an early impression in the summer transfer market as they bid to reshape Valerien Ismael's squad. The head coach is looking for around six new signings to bolster his squad before any possible departures. Rudy Gestede told The LT last month that a left-sided centre-back was on Rovers' transfer shopping list. With Danny Batth out of contract and Scott Wharton recovering from a long-term injury, it's an area Rovers need to bolster. Montpellier centre-back Sagnan is a top target for the club in that area and talks have been held over bringing him to Ewood Park. The 26-year-old would require a transfer fee and Rovers are prepared to spend to sign him. READ MORE: Blackburn Rovers transfer boost after positive contract talks with star player The defender made 27 starts in the season just ended, scoring twice, as Montpellier were relegated from Ligue 1. That has opened the door for a possible move away from the club. Sagnan signed for Montpellier in January 2024 for a fee of around £3million euros. It's unknown what their asking price is in order for Rovers to complete the deal. Leeds United and Sunderland have both been linked with the defender in recent months by the French press. However, it's unclear how strongly the newly promoted sides will push for his signature as they prepare for The Premier League. The LT understands that Saint-Etienne defender Mickael Nade is also a player of interest to Rovers. The 26-year-old is again left-footed and is thought to be an alternative option to Sagnan. He featured 26 times for the French club in Ligue 1 last term and has been with the club since coming through the Academy. As reported last week, Hull City's Cody Drameh is a target to strengthen Rovers' right-back options. However, their interest has developed beyond the initial inquiry stage. Head of Football Operations, Gestede, is leading negotiations in line with Rovers' budgets. Those responsibilities were often shared last season with now-departed Chief Executive, Steve Waggott
