  1. https://t.co/X9pQ58cYTX This is the whole interview
  2. It was a live blog Rich Sharpe did this afternoon. This is what Broughton said on JDT: Gregg Broughton: “I was really excited to be given the opportunity to come in late in the process, but in the process, of recruiting the head coach. “Hopefully I was able to ask the right questions of the owners and Steve to make sure we made the right appointment aligned to what we’re trying to achieve. The impression I got was that JDT was down the line of going to another club until GB intervened
  3. From reading the blog on this afternoons meeting it seems pretty clear that JDT was Broughtons idea and that he obviously wasn’t keen on all that had gone before him with the recruitment process under Waggott

  5. Rich Sharpe on season tickets and the possibility of Rovers having a rethink https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1132902709?-11198:839
  6. Another left back in Lenny Cirino, people forget about him as he was injured for a large part of last season
  7. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1132689188?-11198:839
  8. Nyambe possibly, Rothwell no chance, made his feelings pretty clear
  9. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1132673849?-11198:839 JDT’s style of play
  10. So now is it not only “I’m not renewing unless Mowbray goes”, it’s “I’m not renewing unless it’s a manager I personally approve of” Interesting to hear how you’ll get behind him if you’re not there
  11. If you say so. By the way “guaranteed appointments “ by who? Right the itk’s on here . Sorry, should have taken more notice of them
  12. Rubbish. Scraping the barrel would have meant choosing the usual suspects mentioned on here, ie Grayson, Adkins, et Al. At least they’ve shown a bit more imagination it appears this time with whoever gets the job. You think JDT or Deila would come for peanuts? FFS just try and get behind the club for once
  13. Nobody does but his appointment was met to a large extent favourably yesterday on here and that takes some doing ! Why people insist on bringing up names that in all honesty are never going to get the job is beyond me, Broughton appointment does seem to indicate a change in thinking from those in charge. I just hope the new man fits the bill
  14. No, it’s just some posters dont appreciate the general positivity over the last 24 hours with the arrival of Gregg Broughton. Now it’s back to “ it’s going to be Pardew” or any other no mark you care to mention that fits the agenda
  15. If we are looking at league 1 managers I would still like Liam Manning over Warne and Ainsworth, but got a feeling we are going foreign
  16. John Park was at Celtic same time as Deila, you don’t think he’s being lined up for DOF role as they know each other?
  17. Fair enough if you don’t include Ferguson as a manager, and maybe Everton would release him without compensation, but it still means the other 2 names don’t stack up. Though as Sharpe mentions that could change
  18. There is a growing feeling that the club could yet approach an in-work manager, having done only once during the eight managers appointed by owners Venky’s.
  19. Don’t see how it can be any of them if they haven’t yet approached in work people
  20. Think it would take more than somebody putting a tenner on him for the odds to come in that much. Don’t remember seeing his name on the odds list at all until today. Could be wrong though
  21. While there is no news from Germany about him taking a job there we can still live in hope
