  1. The Jesus And Mary Chain - Here Comes Alice
  2. I think we are in for a torrid time this afternoon. Brum may be rubbish at the moment, but they are a rough and tumble crew who will bully our midfield/defence and I predict a 2-1 home win, unfortunately.
  3. Dusty Springfield - Son Of A Preacher Man
  4. Gladys Knight & The Pips - Take Me In Your Arms And Love Me
  5. The Rolling Stones - Get Off My Cloud
  6. The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five Happy New Year music lovers 🎶🎶🥳🥂
  7. Well done guys and thank you for keeping the site up and running. I can’t think of a better place to have a good old moan about our beloved Rovers. Also, thanks to all the people who contribute to the various topics and, in particular, the music association thread. It has helped me to pass away the days more positively during this very difficult year. A Happy New Year to everyone and let’s hope 2021 will bring this awful pandemic to an end and we can get back to a more normal way of life. Cheers🍾
  8. Canned Heat - On The Road Again
  9. Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
  10. What a fascinating read relating to Jimmy Costley and Blackburn Olympic. Winning the F.A. Cup and what life was like back then as a footballer. Imagine having to walk a mile to have a wash after playing a match. Today’s prima donnas just wouldn’t cope. After last night’s feeble performance, I would have made everyone, including Tony, walk back home from Huddersfield. Keep it coming darrenrover, these are hidden gems from our illustrious past.
  11. Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly
  12. Neil Young - Rockin’ In The Free World
  13. Not as long as Tony’s been in his bubble.
  14. Just watching the Big Bash- Perth v Adelaide. Commentator talking to Barrow born Liam Livingstone who asks him which footy team he supports, Blackburn Rovers he replies. He said after a couple of dodgy seasons we are now on our way back. I think he may have been out in the sun too long.
  15. The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever
  16. It certainly is. I used to walk past the ground every day on my way to junior school at St. Barts. The memories come flooding back.
  17. Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes To Midnight
  18. Yes, he was a great batsman of the mid 60-70’s. He scored a massive 310 not out against the Kiwis In 1965, hitting 52 4’s, the highest number in any Test innings. R.I.P. John.
  19. The Alan Parsons Project - I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You
  20. Crystal Gayle - Talking In Your Sleep
  21. Clint Eastwood - I Talk To The Trees My favourite actor. This is my 1000th post. I first came across this thread at the start of lockdown with no more than 50 posts. I really enjoy testing my music knowledge with you all and it helps make the days pass by in an enjoyable way. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and New Year and hope things improve into 2021 for everyone and our beloved Rovers. Cheers everyone 🥳
