TV explanation:
“Szmodics was in the goal keepers eye-line…” Bosh

2 balls in the back of the net. Refs crapping on us worse than usual

Other than pears lack of effort, our players give the effort. They’re just not good enough. Not to stave off relegation, certainly not to win promotion.
The sad truth is, even if Gally & Siggy were available today, we’d still be facing a battering. -
How does pears miss that
-
Norwich levels it, a win we could pass Plymouth, if it remains this way.
Might as well wish for 1995 again… -
A heavy rain should play in our favor, right?
Tornado? Hurricane? Darkness? 😂
I’m seeing an exciting game in my Crystal ball, Rovers have players coming back, motivation, home crowd, etc.Alas, 2-3.
-
This falls under the category of strange & unusual facts:
Rovers have scored as many points at Ewood, since Eustace was brought in, as they did in Tomasson’s finale at Ewood (3).
Defensively, we’ve improved, allowing 8 goals in 8 games. Offensively, we’re a mess, 6 goals from those same 8.
I’m not saying Eustace is more effective, or less effective. In some ways, he’s steadied the ship. I believe some of this is on the players. There has to be a share of blame, as well as praise.Maybe with Carter & JR-C coming back, we can see not just improvement on the pitch, but more points, as well.

Just watched Ipswich 6-0 trashing of Wednesday. Killed off any hopes of me thinking that Rovers will remotely get anything out of this game. Their Omari Hutchinson will shred our defence to bits.
This begins our final eight games; I cannot see us getting more than four points total, from these eight fixtures.
I’m generally a sunshine pumper here. I’m just trying to get myself ready, in the event we drop to League 1. If it happens, it wouldn’t change my status as a fan. Rovers have shown on the pitch they are capable of competing, whenever we have sufficient quality players. We simply do not have them now, and the current state of affairs with the owners & the people they appoint to be in charge of the club has convinced me not to expect quality on the pitch anytime soon.- 1

We will be playing for a draw again.
If we could manage a draw, I would almost take it right now, after some of the runover jobs the tractors have administered this season.
However, this game will unfortunately expose our weaknesses, and Rovers will drop it despite heroic efforts,
1-2.

Our defending has definitely improved since Eustace’s arrival. I know a point isn’t great, or what’s needed, or insures safety, but it does my heart good to get a clean sheet.

Well I'm not really dead, but the nom de plume has been retired / killed off. The posts remain somewhat adjacent, though perhaps a little toned down to reduce my tendency to offend folks 😭, but it is still me, except I'm now officially an Old Codger 😉
That was a close call Whew! 😂
Glad to hear it, keep those entertaining posts coming!

Not sure how many will trudge up the A19 for this one, but fair play to those hardy bastards who make the trip. I hope you are rewarded for your blind optimism with a display of attacking flair, resolute defending and midfield tenacity / creativity in equal measure.
The form book looks somewhat telling:
Boro - Last 6 = won 4 lost two
Rovers - Last 6 drawn 5 lost one.
Just like every single game from now to the end of the season, we need something from this one. I think though, on balance, that all we will get is disappointment and anger at what might have been. Hoping I'm wrong. Both sides have something to play for, but at opposite ends of the table. Both sides have players back. Both sides have players capable of changing a game. Both have players who coast like entitled babies instead of blazing like footballing gods.
Hoping for a Rovers miracle.
Expecting a Rovers reverse 😞
But FFS! COYB!
F-WAGGOTT OUT!
F-VENKYRAODESAIWASTRELS OUT!
F-SUHAILPASHAHIDINGLIKEAWANKER OUT!
Shirley Crabtree Wrestler deceased?
I missed that when it happened. Sad to hear, I always enjoyed reading SCW posts. -
I don’t know what to expect. But I do feel that playing on the road cannot be any worse than playing at home. I will leave it to Eustace to pick the best 11.

Change of subject…
Somewhere recently, I saw a list of our players out of contract on June 30.
I know Gally is on the list, Dolan, Fleck, & McFadzean. Anybody else? -
God bless the 14,108 today. To attend, is one thing, to pay to watch our chances of relevancy, is commendable, in my book.

Incredible. A point. We survive 40 min with this depleted, poor, squad, with 10 men.
Incredible.- 1

Dreadful. We all knew it was coming
-
Today goes down the drain… no way we can stop the onslaught of attempts on goal now
-
1-0, HT.
We know what to expect the 2nd half, they will throw everything at us, but the kitchen sink. I hope we’re up to it. -

I believe we’re due, to finally catch somebody else having a bad day
