I agree mate. I don’t think for one minute that they care about public opinion, nor do I think JE will have ‘kicked off’… They have waited to get some cash in, simple. Fees + wages of Semir, Wahlstedt and SG paying for Ohashi, Gueye, Weimann? Mcfadz?… GK, defenders, a winger or two and a striker funded once SS cash drops in? 🤞🏽

Good post wouldn’t really disagree with any of that other than to add the ST to the urgent list as we needed one before we sold Gally, and Samir. Weimann and Ohashi seem like replacements for SS as attacking midfield / 2nd forwards, playing off ‘Big Mak’…or another. I also ‘feel’ like there will be an out in the midfield group, leading to us signing Baker or someone like him. interesting month ahead…

Gallagher is super hardworking but limited technically and most importantly never looks like he’s going to score. He doesn’t have the instinct to know where he needs to be or the determination to use his amazing physical attributes to effect the game. You very rarely watch play build up and think “Gally is free there, in on goal” because he’s always in a bad spot. Then when he finds himself in an attacking position, he often fluffs his touch etc. Bottom line, he poses almost no actual threat, in spite of the fact he should.

If SG and SS are going, we still need a GK, CB, Winger x2 and a striker minimum for me. Thats 5 more signings after McFadz, Yuki, Gueye and the u23 French guy. 😅

I know videos can be deceiving, but I’m willing to say right now that Gueye is better than Gallagher. His touch, weight of pass, strength and pace will be an asset. Come on…removing the fact that we’re a basket case club. Gally is in the last year of his contract so it’s natural that the board would want to sell him as oppose to lose him for nothing. The manager would prefer to keep the player.

A lot of the fees banded about are different based on context, too! A Rovers source may say that they will get £12m based on the total financial benefit. Eg - £8m fee + £2m add ons + £2m wages…

I’d say it makes perfect sense mate. We want £1.5m and they’ve formally bid £800k meaning that an increase of £350k will probably see it done. Rovers obviously see it as close enough to pull him out of the firing line…maybe there’s an indication that they will pay. Either way, it must be expected.

Like him or not, Nixon is far more accurate than most at the moment (It’s a low bar..) So IF we were to sign, Yuki, Mcfadz, Hill, Baker, Dembele, Ruddy and the Belgian for £2m - I would be delighted! I reckon we need a GK, 2x cb’s, 2x Winger / wide forwards and a Striker as well as Yuki…minimum. Id like loan cover at Lb and I still think we’ll get another midfielder like Baker in. That’s not including any sales and you’ve got to think Gally, Dolan and Hyam could go with bring in the last year of their contracts. They would need replacing… Anything between 6 and 10 signings may be needed, just to keep us competitive!! 😬

Morning, I’ve found something to be positive about!! I found this beauty yesterday…Rovers training / track top between 92-94 and bought one for £45. I think that’s great value.
