Whartons been poor all season. Not the same as last season. He seems a bit unfocused at times losing balls and miss passes.....he should be up to speed by now.
Far too casual. Looks like he is starting to believe his own hype.

And there it is, a defeat to Tony Mowbray.
This "PlayStation football" has to be re-considered. We're going to concede 2-3 every week playing this way. Not sure why JDT has decided to start going all out attack when we don't have very good attackers.
We don't have very good defenders either with the exception of Hyam.
-
Not bringing in a decent striker continues to cost the club and leave JDT managing with one hand tied behind his back. You put a decent forward in our team tonight and we are out of sight after half an hour. I don't criticise JDT one bit, the criticism should be directed at Venky's, Waggott, Broughton and in that order.
Also all those who were against Danny Batth we have seen with Carthorse's performances tonight and at Plymouth exactly why we needed him. Instead are options are Scott Wharton who has regressed beyond all recognition and a kid on loan from Bournemouth who played a bit for Hearts last season.

My feeling is that we should get our own house in order before attacking other leagues, even if they make us nervous by taking some of Europe's best players. Incidentally, I wonder if Henderson's detractors like to discuss the UK's connection with Saudi Arabia.
One massive difference of course, the UK government isn't funding the Premier League.

Who is going to be the first sacking in Premier league Ten Hag , Eddie Howe or maybe Dyche ?
Heckingbottom and I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris Widler end up back there. Also I don't suppose you can ever rule out Chelsea when it comes to sacking managers.

Have I nodded of and woken up in May? Talk about going over the top after winning just the fourth game of the season.

Never in a million years was that offside. The VAR angles for offsides are so dodgy.
-
All those moaning on here about not wanting Batth and him being to old, today when Hyam went off showed exactly why we needed an experienced head have as an option at centre back, Carthorse and Wharton were disastrous together.
And anyone who thinks we had a good window just look at that bench of ours today there was absolutely nothing on it to bring on to change and win us the game. I wouldn't blame JDT one bit if he walked he deserves better than Venkys, Waggott & Broughton they have let him down badly and none of them should be anywhere a club such as ours.

But you wanted us to sign Macaulay Langstaff who is 26 and has only played one full season of football above the 6th tier of English football.

6. Haven't replaced the experience lost and the squad is very thin.

Good to see Scott Wharton put in a solid display when he came on.

Huge slice of luck for Pears
Huge slice of luck? It was a damn good save. Give him some credit, the agenda some people have against Pears is embarrassing.

Shocking positional playing for both the red card and the second goal from Carthorse. A first choice centre back is needed as much a first choice centre forward.

Whisper it…. but the rumours on here of Archers demise have been greatly exaggerated!
He could be fit for World Cup, fingers crossed!
It appears that it was rumours of his recovery that had been exaggerated. Just a travelling reserve.

Stokes retiring and then coming back just to play in a World Cup sets a bad precedent.

Can’t believe Milinkovic Savic went! What a disappointing decision. He’s in his peak
Though, playing for Serbia means he’s guaranteed his spot.
He's a flat track bully. He's never excelled in any of the European competitions, he underperforms for Serbia & has a tendency to go missing in big games.

Rumour is £2.5m a week over 2 years, of which he can have 50% up front if he goes
The game is ruined
A very fitting end to Neymar's career. His performances never matched the hype surrounding him.

All the 'big' clubs who have dominated European football through rigging the game financially in their favour, now find they can't compete.
Saudi money has actually good for the big clubs because they aren't taking their best players but rather players the big clubs want to get off their books who are on high wages and who without Saudi would stay clogging up a wage bill and pushing clubs closer to FFP.
United have got rid of Telles & Ronaldo to there, Chelsea got rid of Koulibaly & Mendy. Newcastle got rid of St Maximin, Bayern got a buyer for Mane, PSG got someone to pay a fee for Neymar & got his extravagant wages of their books. Barcelona found a buyer for Kessie who they seemed to be offering around from the minute they signed him, Inter wanted rid of Brozovic and found a buyer. Liverpool got money into revamp their midfield they were not bidding £110 Million for anyone before the Saudi money came in for Henderson & Fabinho.
It's those clubs who are not quite at the very top of the European game that it is bad for.

Frankly we’re very lucky not to have conceded another two. Batty at fault for their second, Wharton Sr equally not covering that well.
Barnes playing pretty well (not brilliant) but being left exposed by Brittain imo
What has happened to Scott Wharton? Before last season he looked a very solid Championship centre back but now he has turned into a liability.

no its not. It about playing to the proper rules finally
Play by the proper rules during the 90 a 1/3 of a half's stoppage time as we have just seen at Sunderland is utterly ridiculous.

This new stoppage time idea is ridiculous.

Haven’t got a striker. Losing players left right and centre. Never fear swag is here we’ve got a state of the art team bus. He’s also a believer in “great grass”. At least that answers many questions but frankly he needs to smoke a lot less of it.
He went very Donald Trump for a minute there everything was great from the bus, to the chefs, to the grass and the fans.

Barrington--the Bazball antidote! Now there's a man who protected his wicket!
For me undoubtedly the best batsman to make his debut for England post WW2.

From about 1961 when I started taking an interest in cricket
Boycott; Cook; Gooch; Dexter, Gower; Botham; Flintoff; Knott; Underwood; Snow; Trueman
They're my personal favourites which includes IMO the best Test openers; the best 2 all-rounders, the best wicketkeeper; the best spin bowler; and the best fast bowlers. They're all proper Test players and the team includes some dashing batsmen that the instant cricket Bazballers would enjoy too
Honourable mentions for the likes of Cowdrey, Graveney, Barrington, D'Oliveira, Barber, Milburn, Root, and if you went back to the 1950s you'd have to consider Laker, May, Compton and Hutton but as I say, they're my favourites of the ones of my era that I've enjoyed watching
No quite old enough to be able to remember Hutton & Compton but being able to go back to the late 50's I'd go with.
Gooch, Cook, Barrington, May, Pietersen, Stokes, Flintoff, Evans, Laker, Trueman, Willis. 12th man Underwood

Firstly, thanks for answering the question.
Jennings and Hain?
interesting you left Woakes and Anderson at all
Jennings is an excellent player of spin and could be needed if Duckett struggles with Ashwin as he did last time he toured India. Sam Hain I'm a huge fan of it staggers me that he has never played for England in any form of the game, if any upper or middle order batsman were to be unavailable he for me is the best player to bring in.
Anderson I'm afraid is finished and England need to look forward. Woakes a fantastic bowler in England but inexplicably is poor overseas. Going forward I would be using Woakes solely at home.

Ewood, Can I ask what would your squad be for the tour of India?
Duckett, Crawley, Jennings, Pope (if fit, if not fit Jamie Smith), Root, Brook, Stokes, Hain, Foakes, Bairstow, Jacks, Leach, Dawson, Ahmed, Wood, Tongue, Robinson & Potts.
