  1. Asda & Tesco stocks appear to be minimal. You might have to be there at midnight to pick one up.
  2. Thats a fair point, but basing such a view on what you see on an internet forum doesn't truly reflect the amount of work that a person puts in. Likewise, theres certain things that committee members may talk about before and after matches which will not get as far as the forum, ie discussions between us all in a pub before/after matches. Some of which because its tedious, boring, some because alcohol doesnt exactlt fuel good ideas, and others because it needs more work before you suggest it to wider audiences. Theres going to have to be some sort of allowance given to let the committee get on with things, and obviously everybody will have to justify what they have done when it comes to any elections. Perhaps there is an argument that threads on the committe forum should or shouldnt be disclosed after a period of time, but do people really want to know about the relative merits of .doc or .pdf attatchments etc.
  3. I don't disagree with anything else you put on the post above, but I would suggest that we are taking things at the correct pace. At this moment, the ISA have given Scott a mandate to investigate what is involved in joining up with the FSF, and to take the intial discussions forwards. There are a lot of questions to be asked, and eventually a lot more to be put to our membership. Scott having done 99% of the previous work on this subject in my opinion is the logical choice to carry this forward. In a short period of time, we will provide a manner of allowing ALL members to exercise their democratic rights on such issues.
  4. It does when the players you quote had little academy influence on them at all. They were all on the fringes of the first team or in Beatties case sold when academy itself was created. There has been little or no impact on the first team from players who have been through the full academy setup. . Partly this could be attributed to the previous management, but at least Hughes is starting to address this by making changes to the reserves setup.
  5. If theres disgreement, then we take a vote on the issues at hand. Simple as. (well apart from the issues of proxy votes for those who cannot attend for whatever reason). You are more than welcome to come to the meeting and put your points accross. P.S - can you say why you have been banned from at least 2 other Rovers messageboards (Roverstalk, Official Site ??) Oscar.. personally I dont believe you should abandon your aims because they are unrealistic, its just that we should channel our initial efforts at those things we can make a difference on, whilst still putting pressure both locally and nationally for issues such as salary caps/standing etc. Going it alone unilaterally could however mean Rovers put themselves at great risk.
  6. FFS.. its sod all to do with Hendry or Grayson.. Its quite obviously a FOOTBALLING decision taken by Hughes as being in the long term best interests of Harkins and Rovers. I would not imagine there is a queue a mile long of clubs waiting to take him,
  7. Minutes..mmm thats a difficult one. The FF used to have an official minute taker, but that was stopped. Glenn has taken some recently, but the club havent responded to requests to clear them for publication (personally I would have given them a week and published them anyway) Rev - if you want to know what the club have said about contact between them and ISA, they should be on the minutes which are due to be published on the BRISA site, and are only late as day jobs have interfered.
  8. Except that by keeping things open fans actually know whats going on with BRISA. Even members of the FF don't know what the hell is happening with it at the moment.
  9. I'm reliably told that should change very soon.
  10. No Dan, it makes you look like a complete tool in the Golden Cross on a Friday night.
  11. Why are the club letting people into the changing rooms to pick up "memorabilia". I'd suggest that if it was anybody connected with the club in any way that they should be putting that profit back into something more constructive than their beer funds. LINK HERE
  12. Thats not true. JW did say at the last meeting that he hoped the FF and BRISA can work together and he sees an active role for both.
  13. BRISA by its very title is an independant supporters association, and to fairly represent the fans in my view it should remain independant. HOWEVER, unlike many ISA's, and despite advice from other ISA's, at this stage BRISA is trying to maintain a very close working relationship with the club. Hopefully we will have the best of both worlds, independance so BRISA can say what the fans think, and a relationship with the club that allows us to discuss things at a high level..
  14. Keep digging. Were they not managed by a certain Steve McMahon before Hendry.. I'm sure he had a few more winners medals.. All means sod all at the end of the day as being a great player does not make you a good manager.
  15. You do yourself no favours at all do you ? Biggest name at Blackpool.. Never heard of Stanley Matthews have you ?
  16. I'm one of the few who loved both, but Sensi coming out a bit later enabled them to get the best out of the ST/Amiga and come up with some new tricks. Dino Dini tried to better the Kick OFf games with Goal, but in the end, the Sensible lot had just come up with as near to a perfect 16bit game as you could find. May just get the Megadrive version tho if it has Cannon Fodder on it... Still remember a cross over version of Sensi Soccer they did as a demo where you played football with a grenade.
  17. Could be hard times for Rovers if we don't get the crowds back in. Personally I think its up to the clubs and relevant authorities to deal with this problem. Sky have certainly been round a number of pubs checking that the glass icon is in the bottom corner, and have seen landlords prosecuted (or agree to take out a 12 month subscription). Its a matter of time before those showing foreign channels also are targetted.
  18. That was the biggest question we had in Blues after the game.. Must be a long long time ago. As for the ref.. missed a blatant penalty, and should have sent Chris Perry off for a second booking, but other than that was ok.
  19. Revidge, did you watch todays game ?? A few good saves today ? I won't hold my breath waiting for a positive comment though.
  20. got my network card thru www.whitedog.co.uk in a day. Anybody want a game ?
  21. The intial agenda was as follows, there will be BRISA people around for most of the night afterwards.
  22. At the end of the day, it would be whoever the media manage to contact about any issue (likely the media member of the committee). I would hope that the BRISA committee would try and come up with some sort of response between them and contact a few members before publishing anything, however sometimes a comment is needed ASAP and that isnt practical. What does your fiver give you ? Well it gives you a chance to vote somebody you find less PC onto the committee. ALL members will be given the opportunity to decide on which approach an ISA should take.
