Fear not guys, I’m sure we’ve got at least three buttons and a bottlecap in the war chest to strengthen in January.
-
If someone wants to get rid of Wahlstedt, I’ll dig my Tim Flowers jersey out and borrow a pair of gloves. Can’t be any worse.

Disgraceful refereeing. What can you do though when the standard is just so horrific and the same pleps get rolled out each week.
Finally booked Vaulks (another one that was well overdue). But let him give Moran a bit of abuse and then exhaust his vocabulary at the ref as well.
Weak little man who has had rings run round him by some of the “experienced” Sheff Weds lads.

No.
Bannan is a snot nosed bastard.
Nothing excuses that we are bottle job wimps though.
We’ve been very poor, but I can’t believe what they’ve got away with. Especially Bannan, he could’ve been booked four times today.

That must be at least 5 fouls by Bannan.
And now he tries to kick the ball away.
Is the ref his dad?

How has he booked Hill but let all their fouls go all afternoon?

Felt a bit soft to me.
This keeper is dire though, another one under his bodyWatch what you say, his bodyguards will be after you.

Had Szmodics at 11/5 for anytime scorer, so that’s a double boost for me.
If we can nick a winner the other four legs of my acca are all 2-0 up.

Yeah, these injuries have been a disaster, and we're going into the hardest month of year based on opponents and number of games.
Tbh, I think what I’ve seen of Garrett he’d be better than Trondstad has been today and if there’s anyone left footed in the academy get them on for Brittain.
The only threat we’ve had down the left was from a Pickering overlap. Palmer knows Brittain is gonna switch it to his right foot and it’s making it too easy to keep nicking the ball off him.
Some of them do look tired, but Szmodics is still charging about and Adam Wharton doesn’t look particularly slower, he just ambles around when we’re defending anyway.

Sounds like one of those days. The players are probably running on fumes at this point.
Good thing we don’t have the busiest weeks of the season coming up!

Bannan with another nibble at Adam Wharton.

4 mins of stoppage time is a joke.
Iorfa took three minutes to get off and they’ve taken an age over every goal kick while the centre-half fiddles with his socks and has a look round.

Hill is not a full back.
Brittain ain’t a winger, either.

Can’t recall seeing a team that started trying to run the clock down as early as these.
Ref has been soft, letting them off with all the little spoiling fouls. Even when Iorfa got injured, I thought they were supposed to go off at the nearest point now, but he let him walk 70 yards.
Need a bit more athleticism than Tronstad and Wharton in midfield.

The last away game I took my Dad to was a defeat at Oldham in the 80s.
I remember his exact words "we were shit but what a fecking dump"
If you thought it was a dump then, you should see it now.

Fair enough. Slightly before my time.

Growing up in Wigan has made me detest Man U. I learned to hate Burnley over the years but Man U will always be the team I hate the most. It’s in my blood. My family are all Liverpool fans and when I said I’d fell in love with the rovers the only reply I ever got was along as it’s not that lot (referring to Man U)
I always look out for the local results including “ the old Lancashire” as it’s now unfondly put. I want to beat them all more than other random teams but when we are not involved I’d rather they all did well. Blackpool , Wigan, Oldham,Bolton, bury, Preston . Aslong as it’s not united or Burnley but tonight I will want to win that little bit more to make sure we keep our crown as the best town team in the land . Maybe that’s why I don’t mind the other Lancashire teams because I know they will never eclipse us no matter how hard they try
I grew up in Oldham and I never understood why the Latics fans hated Rovers so much.
I went to one of the games in the LDV Vans Trophy because it was free with a voucher from the local paper, and they were all singing about us. Very confusing as I never once heard Oldham mentioned in Blackburn.

Anyone else find it difficult to watch Keith Andrews criticising other players?
In fairness, pointing at things as they went wrong was always his biggest strengths.
Every time I see his name I picture him half-turned, pointing at a player who is running in behind him or a pass played down the side of him.

We've also made a subtle change in our play for those games, not as gung-ho and open at the back.
And Hill has come into the team. But whatever, I’m gonna leave it and hope Wahlstedt proves me wrong.

Wahlstedt?
I haven't seen enough of him to give a definitive answer about how good he'll be - he obviously needs to work on how he handles crosses.
That said, it's no coincidence that we've won 4 of the 6 Championship games he's started (and kept 2 clean sheets). He's significantly better than Pears and I don't understand how that's even a question.
One of those clean sheets was against a team that mustered a whole 2 shots on target, and of the teams he’s faced 5 have been bottom half of the league.
I can’t remember a keeper who had so much trouble catching the ball. So if that’s a promising start then I can only assume that your last name is either Wahlstedt or Broughton.

No, no, no. He's the new scapegoat - he'll never be good enough now.
Getting behind a wicked, deflected shot isn't enough.
Be honest, do you think he’s good enough?

That’s been coming. Not sure why every other foul has been a booking for Rovers and Hull have only had one (plus one for kicking the ball away), but very silly to put your hand on the lad’s shoulder when you’re on a booking.
