the manager wants away, the players want away, several young loan players ar`nt bothered, two veterans are here for a quick few quid, the tactics and team shape is in no way set up for a relegation scrap
we have had it,get on at 10/1 for rovers to go down,at least you`ll get something out of the season because after the stoke game we have some real nasty fixtures
Never stop fighting.

Some clubs just deserve relegation and that is what's happening here.
But our supporters don't deserve it. Which is why the immediate priority is to ensure we don't go down.

So the manager said he will leave for free and Waggott kept him around
Do you really think that Waggott will have been taking that decision ?

It's more important where the move leaves us.
Not in a good way by the sounds of it.
Our results this season so far without him have actually been much better than with him.

I said in jest a couple months ago I expect Alex Neill to rock up at Ewood soon
cheap and available, would put money on him being our next manager
I doubt if he is that cheap. Suspect he is still being paid by Stoke - which might be around £1m a year.

Yes, that's the pity of it - if it happens he won't want to, and shouldn't have to, walk out for nothing.
You'd think he'd be able to name his own price for compensation and an NDA with all the shite that's gone down since the financial landscape changed.
As far as I am aware managers who choose to walk then suing for compensation was something from 15 years or so ago with Curbishley and O'Neill. When Pulis tried it on 5 to 10 years ago he lost. I suspect the wording of clauses in managers' contracts were changed after Curbishley and O'Neill to make sure they would have no case.

The situation re the finances is moving on all the time and seemingly deteriorating rapidly.
He didnt walk and did give them a second chance after "the project changed" and they let him down in summer. Eminently reasonable many might say.
Presumably he consented to the sale of the star asset so he could have funds to revamp the squad and it would appear the goal posts have been moved for a second time with no worthehile permanent transfers now allowed.
What would your view be IF he makes that walk next week?
Obviously he can make that walk next week if he chooses, although I would wonder why he had waited until then rather than going for his walk today. Of course he, or any other employee, who makes that decision, needs to understand that they will no longer be drawing their salary - although any who are on fixed term contracts also need to understand that if they want another job before the expiry of that term then their new employer will probably need to pay up the balance of that contract.
I doubt if he, or anyone else based at Ewood Park, had to consent to the sale of Adam Wharton - that decision was taken in Pune.
Sorry to sound so negative - in many ways I like JDT and I don't blame him for the general air of depression around the club at the moment . But then I don't blame Broughton either who has also had to deal with deteriorating finances and moving goal posts.

You do wonder why they even bothered giving him the job in the first place. Since day one he's had more ambition and expectation than the owners or indeed the majority of the fanbase can muster. It was never going to work unless, by some miracle, he got us up in his first season. He might have managed it, too, if he'd been backed last January. Instead since then he's been systematically undermined to the point where he would have every right to walk.
And yet to date he has never gone on this walk.

Well there's a surprise - we did say as the Mcguire debacle unfolded that anyone with any integrity should walk after this calamitous window. I said just one would be walking and if rumours are to be believed I might be right.
Be the end of the Club if Waggott and Broughton manage to install another "yes man" like Mowbray. The only hope is that we have a coach at all times who challenges the "no pressure on results" mentality and tries to put a bit of pressure on them to achieve.
You do realise that nobody has yet gone on this famous walk ?

The naysayers can be silenced in an instant by telling them we were a Premier League Club when Venky’s took over. Tell them to go home, do some research and they’re more than welcome to join the protest when they’re more clued up.
Back yourself and what you believe in. Why are so many on here so opinionated but haven’t balls to put their money where their mouth is and actually TAKE ACTION?
I can’t make the QPR game as I’m away for the weekend but if there’s not even a minor voice of discontent from the fans we are well and truly f*cked!
JDT has been silenced, we’re the only ones left
DO SOMETHING
So you're demanding that others take action but won't be doing so yourself ?

Why would we not exercise it if it's in our interest to do so ? Say he comes in and scores 10 goals in our remaining 18 league games surely we exercise it if only to sell him on ?

Why are we wasting money on a bang average striker from the mls anyway? Will he be any better than Gallagher doubt it.
How are you in a position to regard him as "bang average" ?

Brannagan would be a decent signing.

And there you go. It doesn't matter who is employed to run football operations at the club, the owners simply run roughshod over them as and when they wish to.
How can anyone think they are doing right for the club and not want them gone?
Your point about the owners' behaviour is spot on - and is why so much of the criticism aimed at those working at Ewood Park is unfair.

You could see that coming a mile away.
Completely dominated possession then caught by a sucker punch.
Who's went to be playing LB? Gave Wharyon too much to do to try and get across.
Playing with Gallagher is like playing with 10 but the Welsh commentators think he's looking 'sharp".
I give up.
Garbage.
Brilliant assist for our goal there by Gallagher.

As opposed to us who are falling from 7th to 17th or even lower?
Please explain why you think it's a bad thing to have more fans in the stadium.
I don't think it's a bad thing to have more fans in the stadium. But this idea that Preston provide some kind of template as to how to achieve a significant increase in revenues and performance on the field is a fantasy .

6 minutes ago, RevidgeBlue said:
Good find. It's not a massive increase in revenue but crucially it isn't a loss either and the feel good factor from having 33% more fans in the stadium is immeasurable.
"Immeasurable" to the extent that they rose from 13th the previous season to 12th last season.

Its about bringing players just not for this season but beyond.
If we £5m from that Raya deal. That's gives you £5m to spend which would give you the chance to bring few signings
For example
Rajovic for £3m from Watford
O'Riordan for 500k from Crewe
Blackett-Taylor for 500k from Charlton
Cresswell on loan to buy in the summer from Leeds
Many posters keep saying the manager is going to "walk". Why spend the little money we have now when there will be somebody else in charge ?
That *was* the January Window
