  1. I remember him getting Armstrong for a steal at £1.75. I'd say he's worth £7 million now.
  2. Yeah, that's what I was saying yesterday. Seems Forest are after him now though. Freeman would be good indeed.
  3. It matters greatly to a club like ours. The Academy is our lifeblood, and great to see it is better than ever now. Also no surprise to see Man Utd being rubbish recently when they have little quality coming through their academy.
  4. Seeing as we have no money, we could do with a wide player, we have been interested in him before, and he is in a Premier League and still in FA Cup; Freeman sounds like he's the one we are chasing again.
  5. Lancashire love also have Bell a good score, as well as Nyambe. And Downing the worst. a 5. Worst I have seen him play and have to agree. Bell doing better now imo.
  6. Agree about Bennett, but not Bell; been decent in last 3 or 4 imo. But Nyambe, Lenihan and Tosin are as good as any in this league imo.
  7. Yes, agree. I think Bell has been good for 3 or 4 games in a row now. Some said he was poor tonight, but I thought he did okay.
  8. I think he is decent heading defensive wise. I can see why Tony likes him and Johnson on at the end of the game, when the opposition go long.
  9. No, strangely Downing been the poorest Rovers player so far imo.
  10. I think we could do with a Henning Berg type of player to cover CB and right back, an experienced keeper, that winger from Poland, and a striker if BB and Samuel go out on loan. So 4 signings at most.
  11. Also Tosin, Downing, Armstrong, JRC. Possibly Gallagher, Butterworth, Vale, Buckley, Thompson, Hilton, Mols etc. Personally I don't think Chapman is good enough though, unfortunately.
  12. Nope, JRC was excellent in his cameo in the league cup also. He is quality and I would start him tonight instead of Rothwell. He has more assists than Rothwell already.
  13. Both have been incredible successes. And Tony needs great credit.
  14. From what I've heard dealing with crosses is his biggest strength.
  15. Anyone think this GK could be good for us? Watched Sunderland Vs Doncaster Rovers and thought he looked very good:
  16. Ha ha! Might be better putting Smallwood in goal again! Lol!
  17. Some have stronger numbers in squad strength, but all would miss such key players. I wouldn't swap Tosin, Lenihan, Nyambe, Travis, Downing and JRC for any in the league.
  18. I disagree. We are an infinitely better side when Tosin, Lenihan and Nyambe are in the back 4. And the teams above us we hammered are not better than us; neither are Forest and Preston. Keeping our defenders fit is the key.
  19. I already have backed us at 20/1 for promotion. Before Dack's injury; have quite a bit on it. There aren't 6 teams better than us. If we can keep key players fit we can certainly make the playoffs.
  20. You think Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, Brentford or any other teams we stuffed are better? Next match is a big one. Another 6 wins and a draw from 8 would be great! ?
  21. I remember when Germany where the best team in the world when they had midfielder Mueller up front. Even picking just one match I remember he won a penalty from his 'aimless' closing down. The same game he would've scored in if Armstrong hadn't got in the way. After his excellent finish against Sheff Wednesday hopefully he can go on a good scoring run.
