  1. Outshone Johnson when they played together. We should be looking to him, Buckley and Mols imo; not like we have that many other options. Bennett and Johnson forever giving the ball away. Bennett does try, Johnson seems half asleep most of the time.
  2. So defensive against such a poor side. And Williams is worse at left back than CB. But agree with no Johnson and Bennett.
  3. I would go with the 2 untried. No point keeping making the same choices and expecting different outcomes.
  4. Am a big fan of our Academy, but we are definitely seriously stretched in attacking midfield positions.
  5. Buckley is our best bet now in the number 10 role, after all the unfortunate injuries. Like Holtby don't think he is a great fit for the other positions. I am no great fan of Bell, but I have to give him credit for his improvement. He seems to do okay with solid players around him. But let's hope Thompson gets into the squad. Personally I am glad we didn't sign a left back or that winger from Newcastle. I like us having a big forward when we are defending corners, and think Johnson's Ariel ability is handy, and he makes a good sub to help us see a game out. My biggest problem is Bennett. He tries hard but offers very little. And JRC is better at defending and attacking than him imo.
  6. It's also about stopping them put the ball in our net. And Armstrong and Gallagher's pace putting pressure on their defenders helps keep the opposition on the back foot.
  7. I don't defend Bennett because he gives the ball away and countless free kicks and penalties. Gallagher though has qualities. He is fast and is very good ariel to help the defence on corners etc.
  8. May be naturally wide but he has shown nothing, and wasn't even in the U23s the other day. Bell has great pace, good technically, and has undoubtedly played well recently; we have 2 wins and a draw in our last 3 games; 2 away, including an incredible 5-0 win at Wednesday. Williams is poor at fullback and doesn't even want to play there. Even old Downing is better. I would definitely have Thompson in the squad now though. Gallagher is excellent defensively and helps out the team, as frustrating as he is. And JRC might just be our salvation. We were 1-0 up when he was taken off and had won the most tackles. Big respect to the fight of the young bandaged heo. Hopefully Davenport and Buckley can get some game time too soon.
  9. Chapman hasn't been looking good. Williams isn't a fullback and Bell has been playing well last few games. And DG's legs have gone. He's okay from the bench now imo. Gallagher doesn't score much, but is a non stop worker. And you don't have JRC in the team.
  10. Let's give the young lad some credit instead of harping on with negativity. Great to see him work hard and get a goal, and Hilton and Thompson do so well.
  11. Well good to hear you think Tyler is going better, as he was run ragged on loan. Both reports I saw gave a glowing report on Brereton. And the boss was also very positive. Whist critical of 'rash' Tyler. But always good to.hear other views.
  12. Strange, reports said BB played well; so too Davenport, Hilton and Thompson. Whereas Tyler gave away a penalty.
  13. Need 1 GK and 2 centre backs imo. I do see why Thompson would be in the squad and not Vale, Hilton and Buckley. And Downing and Johnson may still be here.
  14. Walton Nyambe, Lenihan, Tosin, Bell Travis, Davenport Buckley, Holtby, Rankin Costello Armstrong Subs- Hilton, Johnson, Gallagher, Downing, Williams. Johnson and Gallagher to come on in the last 15 mins if we are ahead, to protect against any long ball onslaught.
  15. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and no need to call fans idiots. Tony has been unfortunate with Charlie coming back, but I believe we have plenty of decent options in the academy, and would rather us not panic buy again.
  16. Downing played left back during our great run earlier this season.
  17. Personally I wouldn'tt rate him better than any of those.
  18. Slap a bid of that £5 million in for Freeman. 6 clubs have asked about him apparently.
  19. Because the other clubs were Preston, Wigan, can't remember the others, but there was plenty of interest. Am only stating what actually happened. Yes, I think Armstrong is worth £7 million indeed. I certainly wouldn't sell him for any less anyway.
  20. Some were saying Tony is useless at negotiations. I thought we would've paid £3 million for Armstrong at the time. And Dack and Rothwell were signed for peanuts.
  21. Again, Armstrong was a steal at £1.75 million. And plenty of clubs were after Gallagher and ready to match the price. If the lad keeps working like he does, and we are winning plenty, I won't be critical.
