  1. Swap Shearer for BB and the statement would be 100 percent correct. Why is everyone so sensitive? I don't curse, or find tosspot or asshat offensive; I call my friends that on a daily basis. Would understand if there were curse words used. Anyhow, sorry if someone was hurt. But most of all I am sorry for our players and our injury situation; a real kick in the teeth when we got into such a good position.
  2. Just back from a 2 day ban for use of terrible language. In my defense I would like to say my use of the words 'tosspot' and 'asshats' were not aimed at any individual, but instead any 'fan' that lack class after one of our players has been stretchered off needing oxygen. I support our team passionately, and Evans has been brilliant for us and N Ireland, but even if he hadn't I would stand up for him on his plight. For all those that run around with fancy skills losing the ball we need grafters like Evans and Travis to win it back. Anyhow, it's a pity those that forever dish out insults to our players can't take the tiniest criticism themselves.
  3. He isn't talking a load of hot air. Even today we were doing well with Evans and Travis; winning again. Evans also helped make Smallwood look good in league one. He does all the water carrying.
  4. He has been a key part of a team promoted to the Premier League, and helped bring his small international team to Euro 2016 finals. Where as we have farted about signing 'better players' that always end up being worse. Again we missed him when he went off. Don't listen to the tosspots, and best wishes on your recovery Corry.
  5. Depends on a couple of shrewd signings and a couple of our top young players being given a chance. I'd say we'd need Nyambe back pretty soon though.
  6. Give it a bloody rest. We are very lucky to have him. Hopefully he will be back soon; we certainly have missed him. He and Nyambe being injured is a terrible day.
  7. Sadly he has destroyed 2 £5 million + strikers confidence, and driving out a top young keeper isn't clever. Our defence has long been a problem. Lenihan was the only one that could head the ball, but Raya got more than his share of blame for goals.
  8. Well, I disagree entirely. BB played well against BC, as they all did. An exquisite lay off in particular should've lead to a second goal for Johnson. BB didn't pay the money, and I haven't given up on him yet. Anyhow, hopefully we get Jones and stop playing strikers on the Wing.
  9. I think that is more appropriate for Armstrong. Lol! Gallagher and Rovers could've done with that goal.
  10. You say BB hasn't been ripped to pieces by fans, then continue to rip him to pieces. He played well against Bristol City. Strikers need confidence and they don't find that on the wing, or by being told they are crap. The first 5 names on my team would be Lenihan, Travis, Nyambe, Tosin and Evans.
  11. Sounded like Hilton had a fine game? Lyons could be worth a chance in the squad soon?
  12. Evans has played well in pretty much every game. BB played pretty well against Bristol City. But is low in confidence, which isn't helped by the young lad being ripped to pieces by fans.
  13. No, Evans reads the game well, can tackle and has a wonderful first touch. He has has played fantastically well against Holland and Germany, where he did not look out of place; hence the reason O'Neil is after him.
  14. Not sure what Liverpool pay for their players, but know that we paid £6 million for BB.
  15. You seem to like players that run around like headless chickens ahead of those that can read the game and win the ball for us
  16. Having watched him in every N Ireland game he played, I think he would be an excellent signing indeed. Fast, direct and can cross; would free Armstrong to play up front in a 442.
  17. I certainly don't. He's Northern Ireland's best player imo. Would make a great partner for Travis, and he's also versatile.
  18. See absolutely no point in losing our best defensive midfielder for someone who isn't any better and much older. Paddy McNair would be a better signing.
  19. I have always liked him for N Ireland. Fast and direct; something we are missing. Sign him to play left wing and put Gallagher and Armstrong up front in a 442.
  20. I haven't seen him have a poor game this season. His reading of the game is first class, his first touch was sublime when he almost scored in his last game. Been excellent for my Northern Ireland country too when we made a good account of ourselves against Germany and Holland. Unfortunately a lot of people don't see that, and think Rothwell running around like a headless chicken is the answer.
  21. Nothing amazing about it, he is an international, and one of our best players this year.
  22. Well many fans were after MM. I would go for the keeper that replaced him at international level, and is the best keeper I have seen play for N Ireland since Jennings. He is way better than what we have.
  23. Yes, it's always a poor move, but especially so for an international.
