In a nutshell.
The situation with our owners is they fund the club from Indian corporation profits to the tune of 10-20 million to cover losses per season whilst basically ignoring it.
The people in charge here are decimating it bit by bit in what can only be described as managed decline to a low cost model. They also transferred the ownership of the training ground recently then borrowed against it.
Also back in India they are now under investigation for potential fraud and have had some assets seized meaning they are finding it difficult to send money to fund Rovers now. This is just the latest in a long line of odd things that happen under this ownership whilst the club shows no ambition to try and live up to our illustrious history and his happy to tread water whilst the bizarre ownership loses money and the director(s) fill their pension funds.
Now you might have an idea why our crowds are what they are.
If found guilty then what ? I don’t see what they get out of owning us rather than a tax dodge maybe ? All I want is to be run like we used too.. like a proper club, don’t care about budget just wanna support a well ran club again with the fans at heart

Just reading some comments from Wrexham fans, they're completely underwhelmed by the draw, who the feck do they think they are?
Safe to say as well as a sizeable allocation, half the country will be behind them as everyone seems invested in the 'story' of Wrexham 🥱
Some of them have grown an ego, some tried to poke fun at our support forgetting that before Hollywood turned up they was on crowds of 3k

Should be an interesting game and they will have a good following,if JDT takes this easy could well be a Banana skin.
Hope the pricing is sensible for all.

Won’t be a problem, unlike Mowbray jdt puts lower league sides to the sword and values the cups, if it was borebray I would write us off cause his negative loser mentality prevents him from realising how much good a cup run does

You don’t have play that way for 90 minutes, especially if it’s not working. Sometimes you need a plan B that involves playing another way.
Not true, it was working just nobody to score goals and a second string back 4

Every time we lose a pressure game like this we hear the same excuses, (injuries, luck etc.).
We’re not strong enough, either mentally or physically.
Until that changes we will continue to lose big games.
Key injuries obviously played a big part, I doubt we would have conceded any of them goals with our usual back 4 plus jrc who is a big part in our play

Licking windows more like from what iv'e seen flying around from that lot, practically on the verge of an open top bus parade down Fishergate.
Word of warning to noisy neighbours though, when you've won your cup final at Ewood it doesn't mean you are that good, just look at Burnley.
All it means is you've beaten one of the youngest teams in this league.
Beaten us with half our team out injured, if we do much as has jrc fit it would have been entirely different

They certainly don't want the attention it would bring.
They are under investigation for corruption, in India. Do you think they want the world spotlight on them that would come with promotion to the biggest sports spectacle in the world?
They can't even handle people on this forum looking into their dirty business.
You are talking utter nonsense seriously, conspiracy theorist nonsense… off the weed mate

Rovers the better team but lack of experience and luck lost it, game cups have gone either way but there is no doubt to the fact we are a better team and that’s with 7 senior and key injuries so what could we have done with a fit squad ? Knobbers will be licking their egos but they was still outplayed by a patched up rovers with a second string defence, they seem to get a lot of luck at ewood over the years, bar last season I’ve always come away from this fixture wondering how we either didn’t win or at least get a draw even then we was deserving more.
Jdt being criticised but what is he supposed to do ? He’s got nobody on the bench to make an impact, full of raw youth or unfit/ not ready players, he’s working miracles with what he’s got, the fact preston have a bigger budget speaks volumes.
its another defeat to another anti football bunch of cloggers but experience was an important factor for them, they are a poor footballing side but the fact they are hard working and aggressive is what’s keeping them solid in this league but very few of them could go to another team who actually play football and thrive.
I think if we do much as had JRC we would have won that match, we missed his engine and his quality and the fact travis at right back cost us dearly, all their best stuff came from that side hence the first goal
a hopefully strong rovers team in feb ti get our revenge at deepdale seen as we do better there these days

As mentioned above why not try for lewis grabben or whatever his name is ? We just need somebody to finish off the good work the team is doing.
gally needs to be shot off at the end of the season, work horse yes but hasn’t at all justified the 5m paid and is too injury prone, a unit like him should give defenders nightmares on the eve of games but simply does not and for every goal he scores he misses 5 sitters
ennis will come good soon as his injuries are behind him, pne fan at work was expressing concern that Ryan lowe seems hesitant to take off his favoured plsyers when struggling with injury, reffering mainly to the new lad millar so only a matter of time before he breaks down and even others which triggered why ennis has problems cause Ryan lowes mate at Plymouth has obviously learnt the bad player welfare habits from lowe himself by giving ennis injections to get him through the season which is why he suffers now which sums them up that’s it’s short term results over player welfare.
dint blame jdt at all he’s working with nothing more than potential raw talent, don’t blame gregg either he’s working with little even waggot can’t be blamed, he can only distribute budgets assigned, this is all down to venkys, the club and fans being made to suffer from their cock ups now the Indian government policies, they just need to accept defeat and sell up, my dream right now isn’t even multi billionaires exactly…. I would be delighted with a few local businessmen with the heart and soul of the club firmly at heart, small budget means nothing if you are doing it right (see Luton)
our attack is out biggest lee down that’s for sure, I said at the start if we go into the season with hedges and Dolan is first choice wingers we are fucked in terms of challenging for the 6, Moran is good but not experienced enough and being raw lacks composure.. he’s no Harvey Elliot, attack is piss weak to say the least, in my opinion Moran semir and what has to be hedges is what should be our front 3 until Sigurdsson is fit and ready, either way we need attacking reinforcements in jan even if only loans to at least have us finish the season respectfully

Tonight will be tricky but as we all know we’ll any team under fraudbray you never know if they are gonna be dire or brilliant, inconsistent is his middle name
Ipswich on Saturday I can only see defeat though, high flyers and a bogey ground

Middlesbrough similar to Blackburn a tad larger, pretty deprived area but get excellent gates and their season tickets are a lot more than ours…
They are in a less competitive area, don’t have the 3 biggest clubs up the road

Rovers made it more difficult than it should have been despite that shocking reffing not seeing how offside that was but we should have been out of site, Dolan waste of space cocking up two chances, szmodics should have had a hatrick. Other than that we play great football, new lad you can see what he can do but looked a bit off the pace but that will improve.
also riverside is getting worse for watching football by the year, starting to get into a bad condition, the sooner it gets pulled down the better, think I will stick to buying tickets in JW upper now

There is a long-standing Academy and under 21s thread a bit further down the front page.
Ah yeah I saw it once but thought it wouldn’t be used so happy to see it is

Noticed there hasn’t fit some time been an under 21s thread and with the success of graduates over recent years thanks to the likes of Johnson, Sheron and co plus great performances in league and cups I should kickstart a thread for discussion about the 21s.
this season sees some new things introduced with the scrapping of the two division format in favour of slightly confusing new one in terms of fixture but understandable league format with it being a play off system which more half the league qualify for which is a bit daft in itself, I can understand the need for change with teams putting players development on the back seats in favour of maintaining a higher league place as priority even recruiting accordingly which we have been guilty of ourselves I can fully understand the scrapping of divisions, 26 teams in the Premier league 2 and 16 qualifying for the play offs and 10 missing out, I would rather it have been a top 6 style play offs system like in the FL personally.
With the success of the academy i think under 21s in particular should be better supported throughout the fan base, games more mainly being played at the weekend especially on days when rovers aren’t playing or are away fans should do their best to get down and support them if they can.. they deserve our support, the academy gets overlooked a lot given the high standard it is so would love to see support grow for it especially while it’s producing the goods.
Currently 4 games into the season
Chelsea 6-1 ❌
West Brom 3-3
Leicester 4-1 ✅
Tottenham 4-0 ❌
this season rovers will be competing in more competitions, along side the usual PL2, premier league cup, international cup and lancs cup ( even though it’s not an under 21s comp by definition) rovers have entered the central league cup, games like the lancs cup held midweek afternoons on training pitches, was a Surprise to see us in but understandable as it provides more games to distribute minutes to first team fringers aswell as under 18s like the Lancashire cup
rovers take on Preston, Burnley, Stanley and Wrexham in the competition

I can understand that pears couldn’t be dropped while playing well so it was a case of waiting for a clanger and many predicted Leo taking the position after international break which seems to be the case, I took a bit of stick on social media for saying pears is not good enough as a number 1 and I’ve been proven right, great number 2 though best since mark bunn but he’s prone to a clanger which he had at Plymouth so now jdt has to take the opportunity to get Leo in. Good to hear sigurdsson and ennis will be back even though especially in siggis case he’s not entirely fit so his pre season starts then but least he isn’t far off but I don’t think we will see the best of him till closer to Christmas hopefully ennis can get past his injuries too rather than what Plymouth did and stick him on needles which has caused his issues at rovers so goes to show their regard for player welfare, I’m pretty sure they will be used for their own mini pre season in the central league cup games.

Tough one and not a happy place for us to go over the years but records and hoodoos are there to be broken.
Plymouth are a bit of a millwall situation I think, strong at home shit away so three points would be excellent to go into the break with, regroup, rest and get ready for a difficult September
-
I always hope fjr a big draw which is funny cause we could never escape them in the cups when we was up there how we never draw them but I suppose Cardiff at home very winnable, they won’t fancy the king journey north for this abd will be here for the taking. Tough games round that time too coming thick and fast so would like to see a half youth/fringe half 1st team lineup for that game hopefully make it easy and like last night switch you to save energy in the legs before a big encounter with Leicester

I've seen everything now. Just been posted a link of PNE fans on their forum taking the piss out of us winning 8-0, when they got knocked out by Salford City, who are only one point better off than Harrogate in L2.
What’s the link ?

Refreshing ever since jdt came in we are doing the job on lower league sides as opposed to struggling or getting beat like under fraudbray

Interesting draw and a difficult game considering how well they are doing in league and a solid run last year. What does make me confident is jdt dosent waste the cups unlike borebray, he sees the value in them and we’ve done a job on all our lower opposition, only been knocked out of the cups to high opposition since he came in, a cup run is needed not only in terms of finance but the fact we are gonna be nothing more than midtable nothing to play for by April team so a cup run will keep the season alive making it possibly a decent season rather than boring and mediocre
