It would be better in the  middle at the back of the BBE so it spreads around the whole stand.

The other night at times there are 2 or 3 chants going on in the same end so you get get a rumble of noise then it stops or it sweeps from one end to the other and isn't as loud.

The middle is where it's at in a stadium like ours that's how it was pre seating all the boisterous gathered in the middle.

Instead in the middle it’s filled with prawn sandwich of anything, in fact the bbe loser should be safe standing entirely

Most whispers/conversations anyone on here claims to have with people from within the club, myself included, suggest that Waggott wants those in the riverside to move over to the JW. It looks better on tv to have a full JW.

Me personally, I'd look into N01/N02 to be a'singing' and standing section, similar to Huddersfield. They generate a great atmosphere from that stand to the right of the away fans. I know people won't like to leave seats they've had for ages, and would need fair compensation, but our atmosphere at Ewood is poor. 2 Burnley supporting friends of mine I played golf with last night both said they couldn't believe how loud the Blackburn end was for their game, (came about because at Burnley the 'home end' is really poor atmosphere wise and they said it was good to see an opposing end with an atmosphere) and we need to be trying to generate that kind of support with the fans we do attract.

I'd also shut the two blocks closest to the away fans in the Riverside and the closest block of the JW (until demand means we have to re open). Again, I understand the opposition to this move. We average 14k at home this season, including away fans. The 11-12k home fans we get on a Saturday should be concentrated in order to generate an atmosphere. Not spread out across a 31k seater stadium that is simply too big for us now.

Totally agree, when the Blackburn end is filled and in voice it’s brilliant, both ends of the Blackburn end stand so I don’t see why no1 and no2 can’t be made dedicated singing sections, too many in bbe are more suited to jw or riverside, need to get those at the other end of the bbe in with the no1/no2 if possible.

yes agree again end blocks of the riverside (darwen end side) and jw need sectioning off, I also don’t understand why there is a small group of lads in that jw corner with a drum that could be getting bbe going ? It’s embarrassing too and it’s having no positive effect either, a singing/standing section with flags etc needs to be brought in and pushed across by fans

It's not just the prices either though. It's the whole matchday experience. It's shite. The songs played before the game are shite and bordering on deafening. The food is shite. The stewarding is shite. The bar staff are shite. The atmosphere is shite (no singing section STILL is mind blowing). The half time show is shite. I regularly get told to sit down from those behind me when standing up in anticipation of a goal. The ground is empty for the first ten mins, the end ten mins of the first half and the last ten mins of a game. Even the good ideas like the fanzone... two taps to get a pint from. If you're not there prior to 2pm, you aren't getting one in any sort of decent time.

The whole thing is rotten on a match day and needs a complete rethink. I've been to ten away grounds this season and every single one had a better matchday experience than that at Rovers on every single count of what's mentioned above.

The surround system that plays the music sounds horrid too, but I agree with everything you said there

  4. What I really can’t understand is why the riverside ain’t a cheap option stand, 379 for most areas is still expensive, once again waggot to understanding the geographical side, Blackburn is a small deprived town with more than its fair share of glory hunters yet the club does so little to help that, there will be many rovers fans who can’t afford a season ticket full stop or can’t get finance, the idea of making the riverside same price was to tempt them over to the Jack Walker lower instead to fill it up for the cameras, even then most views in those data are poor unless you are more central and higher up, riverside should be the budget stand, why not give fans the option ? 300 quid for a season ticket there ? It may just mean those who can’t afford a season ticket may just be able too ? The stand is an eyesore anyway and the thousands of empty seats make it worse, it holds nearly 6k yet it’s more than half empty so how many season tickets holders does it have ? Plus make match day prices cheaper for that stand too ? The club lacks initiative, somebody mentioned the poor catering standards which is correct but also the club shop is crap nowadays, poor stock levels, the leisure wear is poor plus other unofficial merchandises, they should be kitting the place out with more retro shirts that are timeless and sell all year long plus dvds if the good years gone by etc

I’m with you. Yes, he’s made mistakes but on balance, and swimming against the tide, he’s performed minor miracles. Been let down by the bureaucrats since day 1, the players when push came to shove, poor officiating and a more than healthy dose of rotten luck.

Exactly l, people have Mowbray years and he had strong teams especially last season. Jdt deserves another season, he’d still learning the game over here too, we are a new fjrward line from being a serious top 6 contender it’s harsh to judge otherwise sigh the limited resources

    1000%.

We had 4 years of that type of guff off Mowbray, then a new face comes in and starts espousing the same sort of nonsense and people fall for it all over again.

    Wake up sheeple.

Heading for four points out of twenty four. Remind me why Leeds (or any Premier League Club would want our manager again?

Are you for real ? Not as if jdt has a strong squad is it ? Mowbray left this team a mess

  7. Don’t understand the stick jdt gets , look at what he’s working with ? He’s performed miracles with a limited squad, the front three he’s got to pick from aren't good enough, hedges and Dolan are not starting quality and are only decent impact subs, brereton uninterested so who have we got to replace him with ? Kids and a loanee not good enough, defence is doing a great job, midfield three currently are decent, it’s the attack that’s letting us down cause we can’t score goals.

Serious recruitment needs to be done this summer to give jdt the tools to take us to the next level that’s actually a solid top 6 rather than midtable like we have now, can’t believe people are trying to blame jdt knowing the little he’s had to work with yet the results all in all he’s had especially developing academy players, can’t see many other managers coming into a depleted squad on bare bones with few experienced players  and managing to do so well, even considering an apparent key player has thrown in the towel since December and stop he’s got no reliable replacement, plus we are playing good football we just need that extra quality especially up front to really make it tick

Totally agree. But I will hate it when it inevitably happens. In my opinion, the Riverside is more a part of the Rovers history, than the Nuttal street.

Riverside is an eyesore, it was only done in the 80s it annoys me tbh the back of it is a dump especially it’s away from the pitch that makes it worse and when the red and blue colour annoys the fuck out of me

The club should really make an effort to reduce the season ticket prices in the Riverside next season.

I sit in the JW lower and it was pretty empty the other night.

The reason riverside is same price is ti try temp riversiders out into JW to make it look better on tv, I’ve always thought riverside should be cheaper especially behind pillars, maybe a way of making football more affordable for those why can’t afford it otherwise

People seem to forget how few ST holders we now have, ergo it's bloody difficult to 'fill' the ground for any game as you have to rely on vast numbers of walk-ons to rock up. But to sell c6k walk-ons is fine, it's double the usual, and this is a Sky midweek at top whack pricing to boot.

End of the day there is only one solution - SELL MORE SEASON TICKETS!

Exactly but it’s also not helped by the finance company rejecting defect credit scores, I had mine and two kids ready but they rejected me yet a dingle I work with said they have their own system that means you pay the club monthly so how many purchases fall through due to stingy finance company’s ?

I think Morton will be a bigger loss tonight than perhaps people may think.

Not because it's Morton per se, but because we've no ready made replacement who's either got some games under his belt (Garrett), or would have to move positions (JRC).

I hope he doesn't go back to 2 in the middle; we might then get rolled over.

Rather one of our own in garret who’s got some bite about him and will gain pivotal experience from it than soft lad morton, this is a crunch derby we need everyone 100% commited

Settle for three. No chance we will  stand up this time.We aren’t playing the greatest team in the world for godsake. It’s Burnley with a bunch of highly paid other teams reserves. It worked for them and total respect but come on let’s treat them with the respect they deserve and fuck em.

I’ve never known us be so defeated we’ve been playing well but it nor working. We are a total different team than at that shithole

    fucking hell it’s just burnley

Exactly! People are acting like we are playing city, it’s just Burnley and their key players is out and it’s a different rovers team to last November

  13. BBE lower sold out

family section got single seats dotted about and the end blocks where you can see newt have a few available together

Jw upper on both sides plenty available

    riverside shockingly empty as usual

think this proves how fickle our fan base is, regardless of it being a night match this should be every rovers fans number 1 game to attend especially local ones, be pretty sure if we was sitting pretty on good form the crowd would be big, even in recent years riverside and jw lowers we’re always full too, so why not now ? Chance to get us up and running back in the play offs again, they turned up for games like Bournemouth and Boxing Day encounters etc so why not in a arch derby ?

riverside though being nearly 6k capacity is way too big, it’s embarrassing, not exactly a walk ons choice so it’s mainly filled with the same dedicated riversides, soon as money is available that stand needs pulling down and rebuilt in line and identical to the other 3 with half the capacity it is at now, not only is it always depressingly empty making it an eyesore from the view of the JW especially but also it’s away from the pitch, the red and blue seating bothers anybody with OCD and pride in their stadium plus the fact the gantry makes it look worse and the back of it is an embarrassment for a clue of our stature.. if you walk round the back it’s used as a dumping ground with old advertising boards and furniture etc dumped in it like something you’d see in non league. All that needs to be brought up with waggot, cause of funds ain’t currently there to redevelop which they obviously aren't then atleast tidy it up and jazz the place up and make it look professional instead of a non league eye sore

I agree - there's, as always, been some pretty horrendous reactionary comments online - but that's online for you - someone called him the "danish steve kean" FFS. Check your head. I need to stop checking social media after games, never ends well and just makes your blood boil.

We're basically a bundled last minute goal away from 3 points against a playoff rival. He's working with so little. It's not JDT's fault that Dolan and Diaz did nothing to alleviate pressure in the final 5 minutes. Two injuries so he had to go to a back 5, that's a normal thing to do, fair enough it hasn't worked well in recent games but it's such fine margins, it's also won us points.

People calling it "suicide football", I agree it's hard to watch, but what's the alternative, go for broke with an exhausted side and push forward? It's not always so black and white.

We've barely got a squad. We're missing a leader, some experience and a striker.

Agree! If the ref had disallowed the goal or we simply hung on in general everyone would feel it was exactly the right move, another day it’s a win but it was a stroke of complete mis fortune

This summer is going to be similar to previous. The owners aren't interested and aren't investing other than to cover existing costs meaning we are heavily restricted as to our transfer capabilities.

Tomasson will know what he wants and what is needed, unfortunately he won't get it unless they drastically alter their approach.

Even if we miss out we should be looking forward with optimism having had a good season, with I think a good manager gearing up for a proper crack at things having settled into the role and a quite young squad a year wiser. But anticipate it will be more of the same - scratching around for cheap loans like Mola and Hirst or Liverpool's latest option who they want game time for.

Perhaps a couple of Hibs/Aberdeen or League One players.

Lets remember that this is the way some people - fully paid up members of the FFP club and we can't do anything else - say it needs to be

Disagree, owners can only invest so much into playing staff, we are far from alone in this, we are pretty much back to the 80s, low crowds to what we used too and a shoestring, only difference is we have a decent ground (way too big like) and a fantastic academy

  16. Now I’ve had time to reflect rather than go in all emotional

    1. JDT dosent deserve the stick, yes his subs can be frustrating but gets things into perspective, JRC went off almost injured so that unbalanced the team, morton is contracted to playing, he’s doing well with what he has which isn’t much, let’s not forget when he came in last June around same time as broughton he hasn’t much time to prepare and had a squad with academy players making up the numbers, in terms of recruitment june is pretty late especially  when switching over to head coach rather than a manager who comes in knowing what he wants.. there is a difference. End of the day I never liked Mowbray from day one but had to give him the benefit of the doubt and a fair amount of time regardless so same with JDT.

    2. Adam Wharton is proving his worth, he’s a special player we’ve lacked since tugay.. with the drop of a shoulder tithing defence to attack something we could have had in Tom cairns if it wasn’t for a negative bowyer

    3. brereton a waste of space not even trying so he needs binning off and told to take his holiday early, at this point we need everyone digging in and him and Morton are a liability

    4. Gallagher plays off confidence, he did well last night, he’s never short of effort but you could see the boost the goal gave him but it’s not enough, a good player performs consistently and can influence a game changing in his teams favour Gallagher is not that, he’s always gonna be that player that is capable and has proven to be but simply doesn't have the will, aggression determination to do so

    5. referees have never been so poor, one thing that does piss me off is linesmen never run the likes anymore, they are supposed to be up and down that line in view of the ball but instead they only do half a pitch so they are only responsible for the far side too, if that linesmen on that side was where he should have been for the goal he would have possibly seen the handball to atleast open discussion with the ref, but instead they are just heavily reliant on the ref now, end of the day their woeful performances don’t effect them, they just trot off leaving the fans and players/coaches to dwell on their incompetence… it’s not on yet the authorities just don’t care that the integrity and standards of the game are so far from wenger they should be

Look at Millwall and Luton. Grinding out results every week because they are motivated and have a game plan. Is their squad any better than ours?

In terms of quality.. no.. I’m teens if experience and a settled team YES, last summer until late on our numbers were made up by youth, JDT and broughton didn’t come in till leaving us little time to plan and recruit accordingly so that does give millwall and Luton an advantage over us

  18. 5 hours ago, booth said:

If Pears is to be dropped then so does Carter. He was abysmal in the first half against Hudds.

The main person dropped should be Morton for Wharton though. What Morton was doing for their second goal I'll never understand - it was straight out of the book of Keith Andrews. Standing there jogging and watching as a ball flies across the box. He's a total liability.

If Carter and Morton had their heads screwed on we'd have two extra points.

Maybe your right, maybe it should be a straight swap - Carter out wharton in

  19. Pears needs to be dropped as he’s letting in soft goals now, BBD needs to be as he’s not a shadow of what he is when focused and up for it, I would also freshen it up in midfield with JRC, he’s everywhere and on his game. Would start leanord as he is better than gally atm and at least has attacking instinct.

this is a must win, these back to back home games are the true deciders for the season, we need 6 points to go into the final 4 (tough tough games) hopefully millwalls strong home form pays the dividens against knobbers leaving a 3 point gap and hopefully Swansea get something against them leaving our game a week on Saturday against them a chance to kick them out of the play off race for the season going into our game in hand with the unwashed.

this is massive now, this run in coding be much harder, we need to be fully focused and up for a good battle, no room for little boys

                               Kamimski

            Brittain   Carter.   Hyam   Pickering

                              JRC.   Travis

                                 Scmodics

               Thomas         Leanord.    Dolan
