Think Rovers are after an better goalkeeper than those linked. A nr one and Fisher will get a chance as nr 2 this season.

    Any news Sparks?

I think you're right about Fisher. As long as the new number one is of a high standard I am cool with that. Phillips or Vorm for me. Has Etheridge gone to Birmingham?

I heard a story earlier in the season that he went from being all matey with the players to being quite disciplined and the players didn't like it. Stories about suddenly announcing an extra training session in the afternoon after the morning session. I know you're all thinking that an extra training session shouldn't be an issue for players on the wages they are on, but they still have families, childcare, school collections to consider etc.

I am friends with Jacob Murphy and he said when he was at Coventry with Mowbray, and they started to slip away from the Playoffs, Mowbray completely stopped talking to the players during training. When things were going well he was everyone's best mate but when they went on a really bad, Rovers style run he had no time for the lads.

I have seen a few games of his.

I think your are right to be scepticism when he can come right in and be 1st team regular. Would prefer him and someone like Clarke on loan from Brighton.

Do you know what Ayala or Van Der Hoorn wages were before leaving their clubs this summer?

    How much would Kipre cost?

was that from the official Doncaster Rovers twitter page?

Apparently so. Just something I heard about. Probably not real.

Probably an unpopular opinion but...If Wigan have to offload players and we are looking for a midfielder,  I wouldn't be against trying to get Sam Morsy.  Nasty little bastard.  Just what we need.

To be fair he also weighed in with 3 goals and 3 assists, which is better than our usual midfield return.

After what he did to Dack?????

Thats  not fair....? they've done Bell I believe so maybe the LB is sorted....i thought Cunningham was coming but looks like Harris wants a look at him or I think that would  be done by now.

I don't know but I get the feeling if we truly want the player then we are in the driving seat.  2 meetings in 12 months suggests something,  but I'm not putting my head on the block on here, Id get pelters for sure....:brfcsmilie:

Surely another left back must be on the agenda too. A first choice one.

Well fingers crossed ? we get Whiteman, I reckon him and Trav in the middle would be a great partnership.

I think you need to look at it from a business point of view here...a bit like a business needing a yardsman, an ops manager  and they'd really like to afford the star salesman if they can afford him...they already have a few average ones.  They desperately need the yardsman and ops manager....

If Mowbray was choosing another CM ahead of him then I think the player would be affronted.  From what I know he would see joining us a real big move,  from young we would have been a proler big club in the premier league in his eyes and local.

If you had to give it a percentage of happening what would you say?

Reading your posts I would go 70% likely.

It's nice to read a post from somebody with inside knowledge. Cheers!

I think it’s clear that we need a new goalkeeper and lb. They are the weak areas at the moment. I do think we’ll make an attempt to bring back Cunningham here next season as he looked very good before his injury. Thankfully Walton is not ours so we can consign him to the history books. We’ll need a couple of centre halves to come in; one to sadly replace Tosin, who is destined for a loan spell at the top level next season you would imagine, and one who can provide back up for first choice centre halves.

Outs: Leutwiler, Mulgrew, Smallwood, Samuel, Hart, Chapman, (Walton), (Tosin)

    Keep: Graham, Downing

Incoming: Two GK, Two centre halves, LB, wide striker

I would add a quality and most importantly fit central midfielder to that list!
