  1. Unfortunately, you don’t get as clear of an indication of someone leaving as their teammate putting you on the spot, in an interview, unexpectedly. Hope it’s a dream move to West Ham and some sort of trophy there for him, but with five or six others bidding so we’re looking at £15m. Go well, lad.
  2. Think he’s had some shockers this year, but he’s had a lot going on, I think someone has mentioned personal issues, off-field. I don’t think he’s someone we should be getting rid of, but he has ti hit the ground running and improve back to last season’s level, early doors.
  3. He’s 5’8”, when expected to play at CB he’ll be targeted aerially, as he currently is, but with more exposure.
  4. Hyam (currently iffy), McFadzean (currently old), Wharton (currently injured), Carter and O’Riordan. We need at least one for next year, if we’re planning to play a back 3.
  5. You can enjoy yourself without it being gratuitous. I don’t think he’s captain material, this is the most recent in a long line of events. Do you disagree?
  6. Of course, as I said, he has barely had a kick. Pretty certain they won’t be signing a loan player, who warmed the bench for most of the time he was with them, on a permanent. Think it’s best for all parties if he does go, his direct employer were in a relegation battle while he was doing so and he’s now celebrating Ipswich’s promotion, hoisted on the shoulders of their supporters. Not really captain material, for me.
  7. Do you unseat Hyam? Do you not promote Sammie (if he stays)? Do you drop Tronstad? Do you drop JRC?
  8. Strong suspicion he doesn’t come back. Won’t be captain, won’t be first-choice and won’t be playing where he’d want to. Probably saying “take me with you!” to Ipswich coaching staff, but he’s barely had a kick after the first few games.
  9. RPReplay_Final1714830750.mov from rovers official twitter. It’ll be taken down soon enough, sadly (wait for the end):
  10. For all the data, stats and probabilities, “feel” really comes into it on days like today. Brum are at home against not much to play for opposition. Plymouth at home, albeit their opponents have that bit more to play for. We’re away against the Champions, themselves mainly made up of players that should be in the league above ours. The feel of this is extremely off. 4% at the start of the day seemed very, very optimistic. We’ve done well, in the circumstances but we’re relying on Leicester not turning on the style at any point and Birmingham’s capacity crowd (looks it on the telly, anyway) not being too fussed. I think this is gonna end in tears. Relegation this season is a woeful outcome and while I’ve wanted Waggott out for a while, I will be mounting a full vendetta against him in that eventuality.
  11. Agreed. Think Dolan bulked up a bit too much and he’s lost some of his agility. I hope there’s a deal lined up for Gally to leave, it’s been long overdue.
  12. Couldn’t agree more with this. If I had to outline what I think happens next weekend, it’s exactly this and for these reasons.
  13. The problem is he doesn’t really know how to win a game with the players at his disposal - that’s literally why we’re in this position.
  14. Eustace with a 13.33% win record after 16 games in charge. Previous manager left us with 44.44% over 90 games. If we know anything about this club, it’s that they’ll remove even more resources next season and that win record likely gets even worse (whether we’re up or down). I don’t believe he’s the manager to do the necessary and he’s got himself sent off in the penultimate game of a relegation dogfight. He could feasibly not manage another game for us from the touchline, if he’s chopped after relegation. He’s been a bad appointment by an inept CEO, as a result of totally reckless administration by the board/executive team. He needs to go.
  15. Think he’s deserved more minutes than he’s got, he has consistently added something when brought on.
  16. Will not get this kind of opportunity next weekend, have to make it count.
  17. Hyam is an entirely different player with MacFadzean on the pitch
  18. Stuff like that doesn’t often seem to go our way, but it was the right decision.
  19. Off-topic: Jack Vale’s just been sent off for serious foul play. Didn’t know he had it in him.
  20. Weird one, I think the commentators are right, I don’t think managers/staff can come into contact like that with players. Crazy, he was just trying to get the ball back for a quick throw, but proper “rush of blood to the head” stuff for your head coach to do that. Poor reflection on him, shouldn’t give the ref a decision to make.
  21. If he intends to stick around, he appears unbothered by a season in League One on today’s showing.
  22. Total passenger. He’s gone in the summer and not a moment too soon
  23. Trying to move it forward too quickly, lot of wasted possession but most of us don’t look like we know what to do in the final third. Sammie potentially on a rare off day, as well. I feel like I’ve seen this one before.
