  1. There were'nt that many in the Darwen end, about 3 ore 4 thousand.
  2. We were sluggish in the first half hour, Oxford looked the most likely team to score, it took there opener which was goal of the month to wake us up and Joe Rankin Costello put us level just before the break. We woke up in the 2nd half and started looking for the winner, a nice finish from Arnie Siggurdsen gave us the 3pts. This team unlike last season dont put up the white flag when they go behind, which is promising signs for Rovers supporters. One critisism is we don't get the ball in the box enough, when thers 2 6ft plus strikers waiting to get on the end of a cross. A decent winger would improve things before the window closes. Ohashi deserved the man of the match award.
  3. Travis when he's 100% fit and on form is a useful asset to Blackburn Rovers.
  4. All these negative comments, were not Brazil at the moment were trying to improve on last seasons disasterous slide down the table. We need to improve on last weeks game at Norwich, we were poor in midfield giving the ball away far to cheaply and failing to close down players which led to Norwich scoring their second goal. After saying that i have confidence in our strikeforce Gestede, Ohashi and Weiman. Lets hope we get our act together tomorrow and keep our 100% home record. Early days but there's signs we are improving.
  5. I was talking to a Bolton fan who said Oxford played well in the play off final last season, let's not take them lightly. If we can win this one it's a perfect home record to the start of the season. We need to get it right in midfield, keep possesion and dont give the ball away to cheaply.
  6. We were poor in midfield, obviously the gap left when Sam Szchmodics departed. We gave the ball away far to easily for my liking and backed off instead of closing players down, which led to their 2nd goal. We need to spend some of the money we got for Sam Szchmodics on a decent replacement.
  7. Good luck to Sam Szchmodics, he gave his all for Blackburn Rovers. Let's hope Rovers continue from last week tomorrow.
  8. With Sam Szchmodics gone, it might be a tougher fixture.
  9. Norwich were well beaten in there opener, it won't be a stroll in the park.
  10. Ipswich have agreed terms for Sam Szmodics, we need a decent replacement fast.
  11. According to the BBC, Ipwich have agreed a deal for Sam Szchmodics. £9,000,000 expected to rise to £11,000,000 with add ons.
  12. Gueye, Ohashi, and Mcfadzean all signed for next season with others in the pipeline. No new signings!
  13. According to the LT, Rovers are in advanced talks with Belgium striker Gueye and Japanese striker Ohashi has had his 3rd medical. If this is true it's great news for Rovers supporters, more power upfront. Ohashi is 6ft 5in tall, height up front what Rovers have been missing for seasons, can't remember the last time Rovers scored off a corner. We could do with a winger to supply the crosses.
  14. Nice to see Ryan Hedges on the scoresheet, just back to fitness after injury. Doherty the 16 year old got rave reviews when he came on. We could do with a manager whose prepared to try youngsters in the first team. Look at Spain in the Euros, played a 16 year old early on, and ended up winning it.
  15. According to the LT, Stockport will be the last friendly before the Season kicks off. So much for the promise of a big name home game.
  16. If he scores goals, one decent signing over the line.
  17. This pre season we have played Accrington Stanley; Tranmere and a bundeslige 2nd division team, with Wigan and Stockport to come. With no disrespect to these teams, we need to play better opposition with a competitive gruelling Championship campaign on the horizon. I have got my season ticket, but i can't see anything but another relegation battle on our hands next season at the moment.
  18. Hopefully striker wise, lack of goals (not including Super Sam Szchmodics) was almost our downfall last season.
  19. Without Sam Szchmodics goals last season, we would be playing league 1 football this season. You don't have to be a University student to know were we need strenghtening.
  20. All this doom and gloom bullshit, venkys out waggot out etc. We need to get behind the team with what we've got and stay in the Championship next season till better times come along.
