  1. It will be Pears v Kaminski, when we play Luton next season. Wonder who will be favourites.
  2. A lot of people blame Pears, but forget about our misfiring strikeforce that heaps pressure on defence and goalkeeper. His biggest clanger was against Sheffield wednsday, when he sliced the ball into his own goal. It was a dodgy backpass to him from hyam who was under pressure.
  3. Yet when he was pulling off fantastic saves for Rovers to keep them in some games none of this was mentioned. He's short on confidence at the moment which needs putting right in pre season training. We do need to sign another decent keeper for competition between the sticks.
  4. So far we are playing 5 friendlies and an Austrian tour all away this summer. We were promised a few weeks ago there would be a friendly at Ewood before the start of next season. I know it's not a transfer topic, but it would be a boost to win on home soil before the new season gets under way.
  5. Good point, if we have £7m we should be able to strenghthen our attack; buy a decent winger and sign a 6ft plus decent centre back.
  6. If I win the £123,000,000 jackpot on euromillions Rovers will have a promotion chasing team.
  7. We will be lucky to sign Max Wall with the venkys running things.
  8. Kane mentioned the word nein on the news, let's hope he scores nine in the Euros.
  9. That's what England was missing against Iceland, a player like Wharton who's capable of opening up defences with his excellent passing. I agree, Wharton, Bellingham, and rice would be a solid midfield and foden.
  10. An on form Pears pulled off some world class saves to keep us in a few matches from what I saw from the Blackburn End. I think his confidence went towards the end of last season. Can you put the blame on him, when our misfiring strikers heaped pressure on our goalkeeper and defence.we need a decent strikeforce next season, hopefully alongside Szchmodics to take the pressure off our defence and goalkeeper.
  11. We could do with ballet dancers in the modern game, if the ball touches your head your not allowed to play on, they advise you not to head the ball. Bring back Bremner, Stiles and company. When footballers were men and football was a level playing field.
  12. Who remembers this priceless penalty from Mike Newell against Leicester City in 1993. PA-38210.webp
  13. Never truer words I went to a couple of Bolton v Blackburn Rovers games in the 80s. You were dodging darts being thrown at you waiting at the turnstiles, and building bricks coming over the wall in the open end, the good old days.
  14. Ca'nt believe Southgate did'nt bring Wharton on when England went a goal down, his passing is capable of opening up defences. It's only a friendly, but we need to get things right before the Euros.
  15. If Dolan did'nt try and bulldoze his way through 3or 4 players, he would be a better player. Maybe 1or 2 then pass the ball, He reminds me of Joe Rothwell, who used to do the same.
  16. I agree, wicked on the front of your shirt makes you sound like a red devil.
  17. I have heard interest in defenders and midfielders, but no strikers mentioned yet. We almost took the drop because of a weak strikeforce ( Szchmodics not included) last season.
  18. Some Rovers fans are'nt the loyalast in the country. A loyal supporter sticks with the club through thick and thin, not just turn up when they win the premier league or the league cup.
  19. Things probably depend on summer signings, the supporters wont want a repeat of last season.
  20. The players need a decent crowd to get behind them, but you are right more signings needed over the summer, especially in attack. We also have a few under 21 players knocking on the first team door. I would give the youngters the chance to shine in cup games. I think Blackburn Rovers main priority is trying for a top 6 finish.
  21. They are cheaper at the moment for a limited time, got mine it works out a lot cheaper than paying at the gate.
  22. Blackburn Rovers attendance last season on average was 12 - 14 thousand, a majority of those paid at the gate.
  23. I got my season ticket today , cheaper at the moment. I said to a friend nearing the end of last season, whatever happens I will still be watching rovers next season.
  24. There's a few youngsters knocking on the door of the senior squad Gilsnen, Gent, Edmondson. John Eustace stated in the LT the youngsters will get the chance to prove themselves in the up and coming friendlies. I remember Gilsnen coming on as sub against Cambridge in the league cup early in the season and scoring. Could save the club money, but we still need proven goalscorers alongside Sam Szchmodics, it was nearly our downfall last season lack of goals.
