  1. Have you watched them much? Know a lot about their other players?
  2. I'm just telling you what he prefers. We'll see when he gets his own players in and everyone's fit.
  3. The accounts that made him choose Sunderland over us.
  4. Caulker is the ideal signing to fill a hole in our defence. Nominative determinism.
  5. The JPVH situation could change very soon if that 🖕 happens. I'm fully invested in Caulker now though so fuck him!
  6. I'm absolutely certain that everybody writing Caulker off has not been following his career in Turkey, where's he's just spent 3 years playing regularly in their top division. Should be judge him if/when he plays? I know, a novel approach!
  7. It can't be an alternative to someone who wasn't an option. JPVH doesn't want to come back by all accounts.
  8. He's just played 100 games in the Turkish top division over the last 3 years. He can't be that bad. Any comparison with WB is just a bit lazy.
  9. Experience is the important point here. There's only Ayala with any real experience and we know what his injury record is like. Caulker is experienced and he was once a very good CB. He was also a ball-playing iirc so he will fit the playing the ball out from the back that JDT wants.
  10. Apparently not. @ChrisPriceBaldSpotgets 'em right when they're done.
  11. Very odd/left-field signing if true, but we'll see how he goes. Can I ask why you're happy with it? Can't say I've followed his career since Swansea days. He was good then but that was a few years ago.
  12. JDT favours 'inverted' wingers, so a right-footer will replace the right-footed BBD...if BBD actually goes anywhere.
  13. So not only has a bid not been made, EFC haven't even decided if they want BBD. As we were, 6 days left........
  14. Elliot Jackson saying we haven't agreed a £20m deal with Everton for Diaz
  15. Maupay plays more central...Diaz can play off the left. So, in theory, yes. Especially if they sell Gordon for £60m
  16. £17.5m is probably as good as we can hope for. We needed an attacker anyway, possibly two. If BBD goes we need at least 2. 1 week and 1 hour to go................
  17. But the increased offer was still lower than the one Boro made accoridng to Waggott, to the tune of £10k a week.... and he was going to a club that was one of the pre-season faves for promotion. This is the info we have. It's up to people whether they choose to believe the info.
  18. And it appears even harder for you to work out that he just didn't want to stay.
  19. And which you don't know are correct, but you can't work out why we didn't just keep him. Keep up the good work.
  20. Why so passive-aggressive. I was just relaying what he said. Is it the acronym thing that's still stinging a bit?
  21. I had one recently. After he slipped the glove of love on and inserted his finger he said 'please don't be alarmed, involuntary erections are normal' I said 'I haven't got an erection' He said 'I know but I have' Disgusting.
  22. I didn't say I believed him. I was just outlining why your 'why didn't we just keep Lenihan' analysis was simplistic at best.
  23. We offered Lenihan £24k per week apparently. Boro offered him £2m more than Rovers over the 4 year period (so £10k per week more) according to Waggott. We would therefore have had to smash our wage ceiling to re-sign him. And then he still might have wanted to go to Boro as on paper they have more chance of going up, and have a proven manager at this level. So we didn't really 'let' him leave. He was out of contract. . He wanted to go.
