  1. This is a totally bonkers statement to make at this level of football but between Gueye, Hedges and Dolan leading our line we could do with a professional footballer who can strike a football cleanly
  2. Apparently his doctors have advised he's not allowed to head the ball anymore after his hair transplant but he's adamant he will only play in defence which has obviously limited his opportunities for playing time
  3. Might be misremembering but didn't Buckley have quite a good run as a number 10 one season? I don't think he's cut out for this level and he's not developed much since coming through
  4. Id be perfectly happy signing a cheaper one trick pony from a league below with funds saved for elsewhere than spend all the budget on Schlupp and some bog average Koumetio style loans He's not the right player due to injury record but Jones from Notts County is the mould. Would fill the Hedges winger position who can defend but has a yard of pace and his one trick of balls into the box would complement Gueye and Brittain on the other side Still think we need another central midfielder too
  5. Issue were in now is Cantwell isnt fit, and the bench is shocking. Man for man I think every one of their subs is better than ours
  6. Get Gueye on Egan Riley he's barely 6ft
  7. If we're looking at the Crew then he's the wrong player, Matan is the mould we need! Highlight reel
  8. What a life being a young footballer is, imagine being 21, having the odd weekend shift and being praised at work for your ability to appear to do feck all.
  9. Not sure how to quite convey what I mean here but Ronnie Edwards to QPR on loan feels like business we should be doing despite not really needing him at the back
  10. So minor but so daft from hedges there, why try a floaty ball to their back line when only ACD is there and were up against it
  11. Get in! Huge head Big Gueye then not giving up Love it giving it to elland road faithful too
  12. You own a football club that's cost you upwards of 200m in the time you've owned it You look at this form page for the calendar year of 2024 Across all strikers at the club, we have 12 goals in 23 games Promotion to the premier league is worth anywhere from 150m to 250m What do you do
  13. The goal will come when Leonard comes on and Beck overlaps and drives one across the face of the goal
  14. There's the miskick, assist and a yellow for bingo
  15. Excited to see Gueyes mandatory assist, miskick and yellow card
  16. Donning my football manager hat id bring him in line with hedges, JRC etc and then incentivize the hell out of performance related bits (release clauses, goal bonus etc)
  17. At the time, when you were stood in the bookies, you weren't putting your money on King above Rhodes or Gestede
  18. Agreed regards no departures unless we get men in. Burton are struggling, would be interested in Watt. Think he's local and a similar passer to Buckley but puts himself about a bit more
  19. Sorry for clarity, Travis isn't as a replacement. I was preempting the 'Travis has a nasty streak' when what I mean is a 6ft 3 lump Buckley is stuck in permanent development, any guesses how old he is, could be 17 could be 27
  20. Who's likely as an out? Sigurdson, wouldn't be against a Buckley departure if he was replaced. Similarly if there is an option to recoup some money on hedges I'd be exploring it. Would anyone take Kone from Wycombe? An injured Poku or a huge loan big for Barry (is he mates with Gilsenan from Barcelona days?) For the 7th transfer window a row, my only want is a quick winger who goes on the outside of their man and a big nasty lump in the middle of the park (Travis is petty not nasty)
  21. Some uncoordinated thoughts after the game. Amazed how many people think it's OK to vape sat in their seat at the stand For 25k or so it wasn't rocking as much as it maybe would be expected to Pears is twice the keeper he was last year My eyesight is poor so struggled to see but looked like Beck struggled/was let down by Hedges on at least the first Dolan will be a menace for Rovers if they ever start Masters league again, he plays 5 a side football at men's professional 11 a side standard. With that comes some moments of magic like today. Gueye is an absolute chaos factor. Still don't think I've seen him strike a ball cleanly but without a doubt can hold the ball up. Cantwell doesn't have gas in the tank for a full 90 Baker stepped up into the Travis whole well Not sure Carter walks straight back into Batth's place
  22. Is Gilsenan still knocking about, due a move maybe?
  23. Free with a head injury - that's Waggot's dream negotiation
