So reassuring it it is, that our head coach doesn`t think this was a must win 🙈🤣 All is good then, Eustace? 🙈🤣 -

Well, for the time being, I am done paying good money to watch the game on Rovers TV, the way we are playing now is just not worth watching. I have also cancelled my Viaplay subscription. I do hope for a win and will keep updated by live updates instead. From my point of view we are back to playing dull, unambitious, long shots and parking the bus football. Boring and unambitious. -
Podcast with JDT: Everyday life in Blackburn I don´t know if anyone still interested, but I decided to take the chance. I have just listend to a Danish podcast with Jon and Troels Bech - Troels is a former coach, and it is like a coach to coach talk, the podcast was published on 23. october 2023. Don´t know how I missed it then, but I did. This podcast is so interesting on so many levels. JDT talks about the difference in coaching/being the leader in England and in Scandinavia and Holland. He is used to everybody in the staff speaking their mind and being critical, and is used to a more democratic way of leadership. In England, the boss is the boss, and if he says "turn left" everybody turn left. Remy and Ben Rosens tasks were, amongst many other things, to be critical and voice it to Jon. He talks about the hard time getting fans and players used to a new style of playing, and how he dealt with it. I think Remy has been very anonymous, but JDT said: "Dutch people are so critical, saying it as it is, and never shut up" 🙂 He is so well spoken and even more so in his native language. He talks about his visions and ambitions, his care, love and pride for the youth department, and how proud he is of the fact that all Youth departments are now playing the style he wants for the first team. He is so passionate and devoted. He praises the staff, and talks about all their different tasks. Personally I am chocked about the amount of staff members - almost more staff than first team players 🙂 He had 3 ass. coaches, a keeper coach and ass, keeper coach, a physical coach and 2 ass., 3 video analytics, 4 young lads from University who helps with the video analytics, 4 physiotherapists, and then there is the recruitment team, which he is not in charge of. He talks about hour long meetings with staff and players and a 24/7 job. He also talks a lot about the supporters, how much he admires the passion and the love for their club, how much money they spend for tickets, travelling etc., and how important it is to show respect and pay something back to them. He has studied the culture and history of way of living in Blackburn, not just the football aspect of it. He talks with so much respect for fans, players and staff. He said, that it came as a chock in the summer, that the budget had been cut. He was told the day before he was to return from his summer holiday, By then Rovers had already let 13 players leave in the hope to sign a lot of new players, which didn´t happen. The podcast is 1 hour, and this is just a very short summary. He talks about lots of other tings, i.e about handling the media, the expectations and pressure, and about when it it doesn´t go as planned. I know, I am biased, but I really think that JDTs departure is a great loss. Imagine what it could have been like, if Venkys hadn´t cut the budget - he would have taken Rovers to PL. I am sure, the new coach is good and will do his his best - but from my point of view, there is a great difference in the level of ambition between the two coaches. And for you, Callum Brittain, have you ever heard of hybris and nemesis? https://podcasts.apple.com/dk/podcast/jon-dahl-tomasson-hverdagen-i-blackburn/id1501407342?i=1000632347251

I have been a fan of Jon Dahl Tomasson since he made his debut on Danish national team in 1997. I have followed him and his results as a player and a coach, even after he stopped as a pro player himself. I followed him during his years in Milan, Stuttgart, Villa Real and Feyenoord. He was a great player and has now turned into a great coach. I think maybe I am his biggest fan. However, I have never been fan/supporter of any of the teams he has coached - untill june 202 Blackburn Rovers somehow melted my heart ❤️ Just to say, I am still a Rovers supporter, even though JDT is not here anymore 😞 He is perfect for the Swedish job. As a Dane I am having a bit of a hard time about it. JDT is Denmarks all time topscorer for DK. He is our national football hero on the line with Michael Laudrup. He is former assistent to head coach for DK. And now off to Sweden. Sweden is very lucky. I am envious. I want JDT for Danish NT coach ❤️

I can assurre you JDT is not dependent on a weekly paycheck from Rovers. He has made millions as a pro, especially during his years in Milan, Stuttgart and Villa Real. I know for a fact, that he has invested wisely - i.e. real estate in both Copenhagen and in Holland. He also runs a business/company in Rotterdam. He could retire to Bahamas and never have to work again 🙂

Or maybe he is just too busy welcoming and having talks with the new players before tomorrows match, and doesn´t want to be asked questions about tranfers, he can´t answer? Maybe the club is actually looking out for him by avoiding him to have to answer questions about something out of his control? I don´t know, but it is all very weird. I don´t think JDT will leave right now, unless there has been some sort of serious fall out. I think he will stay for the rest of the season and leave in the summer.

JDT is Danish, and in Denmark we have a saying, we all are brought up with: "If you don´t have anything nice to say, don´t say anything at all."

I noticed when Carter came off, Hyam had a talk with JDT. There was no eye contact, no chemistry, no nothing, as if they really did not want to talk to each other, looked as if there was some sort of bad/negative vibe 😢 -

You are lucky to be able to attend 😀 I live abroad, so can only watch on TV. I actually bought a new (and better) TV today, because this game was on Viaplay 🙂 I was entertained too, and proud of our boys 🙂 -

Can´t believe all the hate in this thread 😢 What happened to supporting our team. We won 5-2, I am proud of our players and our manager. You are all welcome to downvote me, I have noticed that positive posts are not appriciated here. -
Arh, you poor thing, do you need a hug and a glass of water?🙂
