I think even that is giving those pricks more credit than they deserve. -

I wonder how many times a team has been relegated with the league's top scorer. -

I refuse to believe Travis asked to go out on loan, just as I refuse to believe JDT asked for him to be shipped out. This is 100% a cost-cutting exercise of the kind that has been biting the club firmly on the arse all season. -

I'm inclined to somewhat agree with Chaddy here. Managers and players don't usually turn to shit overnight. The problem is this new "project" (aka the Waggott special aka sell anything that isn't nailed down and hope for the best) doesn't fit with JDT nor the players brought in. Hurtling towards relegation does not add value. -

I'd be making 5. Take the keeper off for an outfield player and it would still work out better than whatever that half was supposed to be. -

I was surprised JDT didn't walk in the summer. I'll be less surprised, but still a little surprised, if he doesn't walk after this game. I don't think for a second he's getting sacked. That would involve spending money. -

Are there enough fans left at Ewood to do a mass invasion? -

There isn't a chance in hell we're getting any manager worth their weight on the back of these budget cuts. It'll be a return of Gary Bowyer or Mark Hughes, I fear. -

It does look like a lot of players have mentally checked out. They might be running around still, but it doesn't look like they're thinking, much less have any confidence, about what they're doing. -

Agreed. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a good few months. In retrospect, this was pure delusion. Keepers in this club need to start strong from the off. I can't remember one in recent history that has gotten better the longer they've spent with this coaching staff. -

It won't take long of Pears being back in goal before everyone remembers he's dogshit as well. The club got rinsed for Kaminski (to the surprise of almost no one). -

Terrible keeping, terrible defending. They weren't great last season but they have all regressed significantly this season. -

Holy shit, this team has dipped in quality so quickly. -
Summer Window - Rating /10
Mars Rover replied to roversfan99's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
In the context of being completely and utterly shafted by the owners midway through the window, I'll give the recruitment team a 7. They haven't brought in the types of player they said they were after, but they have been creative with what they have, and there are hopefully some potential diamonds in the rough waiting to be polished. In the grand scheme of things, it would be interesting to see what could have been achieved even with only the wage budget from last season, and the financial security to be able to charge that bit more for outgoing players. On that basis, having completely failed to build on the successes of last season, I'll give the window a 2. -

Garrett has improved that much in the last 12 months that BBC has him listed as a striker. -

I honestly don't understand it. It has never felt like a rivalry to me, and likely never will. It's just a heavily one-sided envy. -

12 goals in 2 games in the EFL Cup. That's 3 more, excluding penalties, than last season's total in 4 games. -

Any other League Two club that progresses. The more playing time those on the edges of the first eleven can get, the better. -

Chelsea drawing with AFC Wimbledon, a penalty apiece in that game. 0-0 everywhere else but Donny Rovers are battering Everton, if the 5Live commentators are to be believed.
