  1. Thought Venky’s had to post a bond for every equivalent rupee they send to the UK?
  2. From watching that stream of the AGM the biggest issue affecting the club (funding) was not even mentioned. Which is astonishing really. (I may have missed it though so apologies if so, but I don’t think I did) The only thing asked was about transfer budgets, which Gestede dismissed as it wasn’t a the right time to discuss it.
  3. I think Waggott said a month ago funds had been requested. Pasha was off discussing budgets a week or so ago. Unfortunately the club aren’t held to account. They can say what they want. Without a Supporters organisation asking the right questions we are at the mercy of people who have already proved themselves untrustworthy.
  4. I like his stories. They even turn out to be true on occasion. But I can see why he rubs people up the wrong way.
  5. Nixon has 2 stories on Rovers tomorrow. Someone asked him if they were positive. He basically laughed!
  6. This tweeter has been right on a few things. What this tweet doesn’t explain is why the court date in August is so important in relation to Venkys ownership of Rovers. Again, BRFC said the court date in August had nothing to do with Rovers. So what is the bigger picture here? Would losing the court case have ramifications for Venky’s ability to send any money overseas for any reason, not just to Rovers. Sadly the tweet lacks any detail.
  7. Your opinion is irrelevant. The discussion was about who said what, not whether what was said was impactful. Try to actually engage with what is going on instead of always playing the contrarian.
  8. It matters who said it in the context of the discussion being had.
  9. To be clear, it’s the BRFC who have said the owners can send funds. It’s ’some people’ who think they can’t. I think that’s an important distinction to make.
  10. Linekers BBC salary is about £1.4m. Punditry is awful these days. Every pundit has a team and they are openly more interested in it than any other team - Shearer with Newcastle, Lineker with Leicester, Richards with Citeh. Just a load of smug fanboy banter.
  11. A supercomputer has tipped us to go down along with Cardiff and Oxford. We aren’t tipped to finish 24th though, so every cloud….
  12. I agree. I can’t work out if he’s already proven himself shit at communicating and just said the wrong thing, or if he knows that behind the scenes that they still haven’t agreed a budget and the manager is already pissed off.
  13. He’s done interviews. My point was he was asked at the WATR AGM and said he wasn’t prepared to discuss transfers. Eustace was.
  14. Rudy did communicate in his new role as head of football that he would prefer it if nobody asked him about transfers. He’s also very keen on improving communication with fans.🤣 You couldn’t make this shit up!
  15. I thought it interesting that Eustace put on record that he thought we needed 4 or 5 quality players to be competitive. That is clearly his assessment of the squad. He also said we were low on numbers. Eustace doesn’t strike me as anyone’s fool. His expectation must be that he’s going to get those players and that he expects there to be a budget to do so. I don’t think he would have said it otherwise. The alternative view is that he’s already frustrated by what he’s seeing develop and he’s making it clear exactly what support he expects. Ergo those comments were aimed at the club in the same way JDT used to make barbed comments. I certainly don’t see Eustace as a ‘yes’ man.
  16. I think they’re currently trying to decide how they can get away with blaming our lack of transfer activity on FFP. It’s going to take some doing this summer.
  17. Alarm bells ringing! warning lights flashing! existential threats! High drama!!
  18. They’re probably in the arrivals lounge waiting for Pasha to return from India bearing budgets.
  19. Was yesterday the first day back on sale after the early bird?
  20. All good questions, which all could have been asked at the WATR AGM. And still no head of technical. At least GB and JDT held the club to account. The impression I got from Gestede was that he wasn’t going to do that. I wouldn’t be surprised if the budgets that Pasha went to India to agree a week or so ago are still not agreed.
