The fee for the Japanese lad is covered by an existing budget. As for the end of July deadline for Sammi, it suggests there is no great need for a cash injection. You wouldn’t box yourself into a corner over some arbitrary deadline. I think that deadline is to make sure the clubs who are after him are being serious so it doesn’t drag on. And it would also suggest that future incoming transfers are dependent on the Sami money so they want it in as soon as possible so they can make bids.

Less than that according to Jackson, sounds more in the £750k range.

At least the Japanese lad shows a bit more imagination than a pub player from the German 4th tier, or wherever Tel was from. Park probably has a far bigger contacts book than Broughton.

We’ll just have to hope Rover Insider was correct and that 2 of the 3 are already willing to sell.

I only read the headline and sub heading, the rest is behind a paywall. But an article on the players merits would seem an odd thing to do if we weren’t signing him….or maybe desperation is making me read too much into it!
