If we get rid of Gally and SS without adequate replacements then Eustace’s job becomes impossible. He’s not been saying he wants 5 or 6 quality signings cos he’s a yes man. He’s been saying it because he knows he’s absolutely fucked without them. I actually think he could become a good manager for us. My only hope is that we do spend some of the SS money on the players he wants. I can’t imagine even Waggott and Venkys are going to leave Eustace to play a Championship season with the forward line that started at Wigan yesterday.

He said a while ago that Rovers had to be smart with their transfer business. So someone tonight asked him if this is what he meant i.e Rovers sell their best players and replace them with kids. His reply was ‘it’s escalated a bit’ since then. But apparently he has a few stories about Rovers tomorrow so ‘it’s escalated’ could mean anything. He may have used the wrong word. Maybe he meant ‘developed’ rather than escalated, which would have less negative connotations. Maybe we’re in for a few players? Or maybe the Venkys are bailing out? Who knows till tomorrow.,,,

@Andy on here reported it earlier in the summer, and Rover Insider put the same on twitter an hour or two ago. Could be bollocks. Could be true. Who knows
