When a poster states ‘it’s simply not true that there are no impediments to Venky’s sending funds over’ or whatever the exact wording was. The obvious response to that statement of fact is ‘how do you know’. That’s where you jumped in talking about Wharton etc which wasn’t relevant to the question asked.

It clearly says that. The operation costs include money for strengthening the squad. At least it confirms that the money generated from transfers never makes it to the club coffers, it just disappears off to India.

I’m presuming there was a more detailed discussion on transfer budgets, as that is what is ultimately going to have a huge bearing on if we are involved in another relegation battle or not. I appreciate you can’t put everything in the release, but what impression did you get from the meeting? Are we to expect budget cuts like last summer, or is there a desire to support the new manager with some decent money?

I’m not sure it’s that kind of meeting, unless feeding someone a length means something different where I’m from!

Just reading Elliott Jackson on twitter and it seems Rudys role is overseeing every dept at the STC from ‘recruitment to catering to administration’ or something like that. edit: Jackson saying Owen still joining as head of Technical.

Rudy is now the best striker at the club.

4 clean sheets out of the last 6 games showed Eustace can organise a team to defend well, and that’s with Pears and Hyam playing. So all is not lost in that regard. Eustace is at least competent. The quality of the football was dreadful though. We looked like a pub team. Compare that with some of the football we played under JDT and it was chalk and cheese. I fear it will be more of the same next season - solid at the back but pretty much unwatchable! I’m just hoping that it was the lack of attacking quality/options that made us play like that.
