  1. Kevin Campbell has died at 54.
  2. Jackson said there would be a budget for Academy players. Looks like the fee for this lad is about £100k. Hopefully more signings like this to come.
  3. Exactly. It concerns Venky’s use of overseas funds. It has nothing to do with BRFC and has no impact on Venky’s ability to fund Rovers.
  4. The court date in August had nothing to do with Rovers, or the Venky’s ability to send funds to Rovers. According to Rovers.
  5. No, I was just making a point about how difficult ‘squad strengthening’ is to judge. Best case scenario. IMO, is we have a summer like 2022 when we spent £4m-£5m.
  6. Fair enough, I have no idea if he’s lying. So what will have to change for funds to be allowed to be sent over? A new court ruling? Because if nothing changes and funds are sent over then Waggott is telling the truth.
  7. I don’t think that’s accurate. Waggotf has stated that the court case no longer involves Rovers. basically this whole debate boils down to if people think Waggott is telling lies or not. None of us know so it’s fairly pointless. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
  8. So you’re calling Waggott a liar and saying the statement released by, and agreed with WATR, is inaccurate? And if so, what legally has to change for funds to be allowed to be sent over?
  9. No, they have to match it with a bond. They’ve been granted permission.
  10. There you go Matty, it’s a fact. Thanks for the response Roger, I can see the angle you are approaching this from, which is fair enough. I presume Waggott means that there is not future impediment if the known conditions are met.
  11. Well, yeah, I suppose the proof will be on what happens on the pitch. If we sell Sammie, reinvest the proceeds and all the Raya money, and yet still get relegated, did we strengthen the squad?
  12. You’re getting strangely defensive about someone asking ‘how do you know’. its baffling, it really is.
  13. When a poster states ‘it’s simply not true that there are no impediments to Venky’s sending funds over’ or whatever the exact wording was. The obvious response to that statement of fact is ‘how do you know’. That’s where you jumped in talking about Wharton etc which wasn’t relevant to the question asked.
  14. They can probably work out what a fact is though.
  15. I’m glad you’ve amended your post. It’s just disappointing that you’ve now gone down the strawman route.😉
  16. Money for strengthening the squad covers the strengthening the squad aspect.
  17. He stated a fact, I asked how he knew. I’m sorry if that upsets you😁
  18. It clearly says that. The operation costs include money for strengthening the squad. At least it confirms that the money generated from transfers never makes it to the club coffers, it just disappears off to India.
  19. I’m presuming there was a more detailed discussion on transfer budgets, as that is what is ultimately going to have a huge bearing on if we are involved in another relegation battle or not. I appreciate you can’t put everything in the release, but what impression did you get from the meeting? Are we to expect budget cuts like last summer, or is there a desire to support the new manager with some decent money?
  20. I’m not sure it’s that kind of meeting, unless feeding someone a length means something different where I’m from!
  21. Which has nothing to do with how he would know. As for the transfer budget, we live in hope.
  22. I think statistically he was the best keeper in the Championship last season. Imagine how shit Pears would look at the Euros
