JRC looked a really good CM under JDT. He made some really good runs into the box, which would have resulted in him getting simple tap-ins if we’d have been able to cross the ball properly. He’s got a good range of passing too. No idea what’s going on with him fitness-wise but every time he’s played this seasons he’s looked off the pace.

Yeah, I thought Baker was more of an attacking mid….I think Buckley will get the nod. I’m looking forward to him trotting round and playing flamboyant 5 yards sideways passes😉

Mark Robins is one of the favourites to get the Hull job. Whoever they get in it will give the whole club at boost. Could be a tricky fixture for that reason.

Lots of revisionism there to suit your constant flip-flopping. Under JDT we were goal difference away from the play offs on his only full season. So how could his tactics have been wrong? Last season it all went to shit in a 2 months period, mainly cos of injuries, lack of confidence and the players falling out with the manager.

On the one yesterday you could see Pears telling Tronstad (after the danger had passed) that he should have come deeper to receive the ball. The implication being Tronstad was static.

In reference to the Pears pass, JE acknowledged after the game that the players are told to play out from the back as it’s ‘playing the right way’. So he wasn’t blaming the players, and as he is instructing the players to play that way then the players can’t really be blamed if they aren’t very good at it. In fairness we are good at it but it is very high risk so if it leads to a goal then it gets highlighted. What isn’t highlighted is the 20 other times that it worked.

It was only a few years ago the Leeds fans were fighting the police at the corner of DE/JW after the match. I’m not surprised they have put the KO time back. I presume there’s 7k of them travelling? I don’t envy the police at times.

As good as Trav was last night, and he was really good, I thought Tronstad was even better. He’s such an intelligent player, he sees danger before it happens and rarely gives the ball away. As the commentator said last night, the only thing that lets the team down is our attacking options.
