Thanks for that Cletus, happy memories, apart from the lake that used to form at Riverside ,Blackburn End exit,it took ages to exit the ground or you waded through!!
I do not miss the old ground, only regret not buying old seats when being sold off
Read f365 and these comments really wind me up,even after thirty plus years watching the Rovers, and everything that has happened in that time.I find myself taking it personally,as though a member of my family has been attacked in print.Maybe it is time for me to grow up but if the Rovers are in your blood I don't think there 's much chance of that. The team need to be shown these comments, although then the press may see a physical side. ps will Mrs American be continuing her contribution to the winning of matches or do we have another volunteer. Please be careful I feel we will win a few more this season. Not long to go now.
No sign of my ticket yet, I am on the Riverside. Even after all these years supporting the Rovers, I still worry that something has or will go wrong with my season ticket .
In again, Bobbos Blues, still some fine tuning to do,but as I did last season will let team run throughout season with no transfers! Confident or lazy? End of season will tell.
On Saturday night,Radio 2 at 21.30 there is a tribute to Rory Gallagher introduced by Gary Moore,to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death,if you are still standing after what will be a long day, please take time to listen or record.Rory was a guitar genius, worth a listen if you can.
Two spring to mind,Davies and Ward,I have to say Ashley Ward,he has made a good living from football,so there must be hope for anyone, given that little slice of luck. Footballer and Ward do not go together,he was awful.
