I went with my dad to to see Elton John in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast last night. Bloody hell what a showman he is, and a truly superb musician. Some of the arrangements and song writing is jaw-dropping. In this age of faceless, dumb celebrity, it's refreshing to see a true star still at the top of his game. To quote Homer Simpson: 'No new stuff, just the hits!'

Sort of essential isn't it? I mean Rovers could win the championship if they were able to work a system that could beat every team in the league. While England stutter, assuring everyone that some day they might be good enough to consistently match superior teams, the rest of the world just gets on with it.

Very disppointed that Bentley didn't get a game. He's been one the best players in the country this season and is a hell of a lot more effective on the right than the brittle Dyer and equally powder-puff Jenas.

Just finished Gears of War. Brilliant game but maddeningly short-absolutely ridiculous.

I saw 28 Weeks Later earlier. It's just as good as the first film. Go and see it.

I'm dubious about Die Hard since it's directed by a guy responsible for not one but two Underworld films.

I saw Spider-Man 3 last night and I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm a big fan of the series but my expectations were low-I was pleasantly surprised. It's utterly inferior to its predecessors though. Oh and I think I'm in love with Bryce Dallas Howard...

Haven't read that. There's no way I'd ever have the patience or skill to do that.

I completed GOW 2 on Sunday there. Magnificent.
