  1. I’d love to go back and find your reaction when the Rotherham player got a red for doing it against us last season. I’m betting you weren’t asking the ref to have a word with him then.
  2. Hopefully Eustace gets the message through to the new players about just how big this game is.
  3. Not sure how it can’t based on their losses. This year will be even bigger.
  4. Yep, but this year will count as one of their 3 year cycle when they come back up. Basically they will have to be promoted again or they will be in trouble. Losses for this year will be big.
  5. Interesting window. Personally I think we should have been spending a bit to improve the overall team rather than replacing players who have moved on. Happy with the quantity bought in but not so sure on the quality. We should have signed batth or fadz but not both. We didn’t need two aging CBs. Should have bought in a better and younger one to put pressure on Hyam. Really happy with Guaye and Ohashi but it’s very early days. Would have liked to have seen another forward on a permanent deal after we lost a 30 goal attacker from the team. There should have been money spent. I still feel we are missing a bit of pace up front. The Brighton loan is a massive one, if that works out well we could have a player who provides a similar impact to Elliot did. He’s got bags of potential and could be a key player. I do think we needed one more fast wide player though. Im a little worried at LB tbf. Think we are light there. Arguably full back isn’t our strongest position. I’m happy with the Liverpool loan but would have been an area where I would have spent money. CM seems fine. Surprised Buckley didn’t go out on loan after we bought in Baker from Stoke. Good signing for me as we now have a CM who can take a free kick and have a shot from range. We don’t have that with Tronstad and Travis. Actually think Baker will turn out to be a really good signing. Cantwell, who knows. Potentially could be the best player in the league. Got the X factor and was once a £30m plus rated player. He needs an arm around him and needs to feel loved and then potentially we may have had an absolute bargain. He could be the key to us having a decent season. So that leaves me with the keeper. Underwhelmed is probably the best description. Good keepers have been loaned or sold and we didn’t seem to push for them. I’m worried about the new keeper, great highlight reel, but so did Leo. I actually think we’ll end up playing Pears as the new lad won’t be an improvement. That worries me and I’d love to be proved wrong. Just feel that there were better options out there who had more experience. decent window though. 7 out of 10. Could be an 8 if Cantwell is a hit.
  6. Hilton playing so maybe new keeper either starts or is on the bench tomorrow.
  7. Chaddy completely changing his narrative based on the club not bringing someone in for the position that he said we needed to fill is probably the most expected thing to happen this window tbf.
  8. According to you were well stacked everywhere as half of those players you’ve referred to as wide players you’ve also referred to as number 10s, CMs and full backs lol. I think we need a bit more pace out wide as only one of those mentioned has actual pace.
  9. Depends if they got the deal over the line before midday. It’s possible but doubtful.
  10. If it is actually done we can get him in the squad for tomorrow
  11. It still bites them when they come back up. They’ll need to get promoted at the first attempt for it not to be an issue. There’s an interesting podcast somewhere about Ipswich which was saying they would have been in trouble with FFP had they not got promoted last season. Big gamble for Brum.
  12. If it’s a call between pace up front and another CB I’d have to go with a forward. If we can get both then fine.
  13. The keeper was possibly the easiest one to get done tbf. Going to be low wages compared to the bigger deals we’re trying to get over the line.
  14. I still don’t think Cantwell will happen. The cats out of the bag and there’s no way we’ll be the only ones interested now that the low fee is known. Expect him to end up at Sunderland or Hull.
