I finally saw Rocky Balboa on Saturday. A bloody superb film. I now have a burning desire to visit Philadelphia and run up those steps.

What's with the most random players winning European player of the year? Oftentimes they haven't even played for their club! -
Why are they bothering to make those films? Football movies can only ever be rubbish.

Aussies have to fill their summers in some way. Why not go off to a foreign civil war and run around shooting people for money?

Neill wasn't our best defender. Our best defender showed some loyalty in the summer and signed a new contract. Neill can sit at home in front of his flat screen and count his £60k per week for all I care. A mercenary to the core, he is no longer our concern.

Just saw it. A very good film and a lot more thought-provoking than the trailer suggests.

Christ. Skeletor is played by respected thesp-type Frank Langhella. I was only watching him chew scenery in Good Night, and Good Luck last night. I never made that connection.

Zane Lowe is a tit and Colin Murray an illiterate Belfast wideboy. Neither are barometers of how good this news is. Have to disagree with you there; Evil Empire is a superb effort. Ok it doesn't measure up to the eponymous debut but there are some stomping 'choons' on there. The third album (Battle of Los Angeles) is pretty much the same as all the rest-angry, biting, left wing polemic. If you're into that sort of thing then it's right up your street. The fourth album, Renegades was just a bunch of covers of varying degrees of quality. The standout is a live track of How I Could Just Kill A Man featuring said song's originators Cypress Hill. De La Rocha was supposed to be releasing a solo album as you say. The last I heard he was playing a lot of ping-pong with DJ Shadow. -

Incredible. In the current political climate, I can't imagine their new stuff will be restrained. -
The best line is when a snake attacks in the toilet: 'Aaaaahhh! Get off my D*CK!'

Not too bad. It beats cooking in your juices. -
He's making one more Rambo film. I'm not sure about two.

I agree. I just signed John O'Brien and Anatoliy Tymoschuk. Their work permits went through no problem. On the other hand, the outrageously gifted Darijo Srna is playing out of his skin at Lazio and I can't get authorisation to play him. It is a very sloppy oversight on SI's part. -

Oh and Papa Roach and Taproot were up there too. Admittedly they had one or two good songs but the vast majority were faux-angsty nonsense. -

I'll happily admit to liking them. I'm not sure that they are all that 'uncool'. As for Limp Bizkit, they are really sh*t and I still despair of the phase I went through where I thought they were really cutting edge. -

I actually think A Crow Left Of The Murder is weaker than Light Grenades, Make Yourself and Morning View. There are songs on the latter that I could listen to all day. I'd recommend their live DVD, Alive At Red Rocks. There are some excellent bonus tracks on an enclosed CD, including one from the Halo 2 soundtrack. -

I see your point about Incubus being billed as a metal band but they are absolutely nothing like Coldplay or the God-awful Toploader. -
The first one was awesome. Capcom have struggled to duplicate it's brilliance since then.

From Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and Ralph Santolla's next level of transcedence to the distinctly un-metal Idlewild in one post. Anyway, I got the new Incubus album a couple of weeks back. It's pretty good and follows the recent pattern of growing on you slowly but surely. I also got Ray Charles's last album (Genius Loves Company) on sale from play.com. It's not as good as you would think, believe it or not. -
It is extremely difficult. At one point I spent three weeks on the same level. You'll face twin bosses at one point quite early on. It's fruitless to try and take them on without a host of vital stars, fully powered guns and the 'air hike' manouvre. Getting those involves playing back through the levels collecting red orbs from the various fodder that pops up.

No that's Mykelti Williamson. I went to see Smokin' Aces last night. It's quite silly but highly entertaining.

I'm sorry but I'm useless with this kind of thing. It sounds really dumb but where exactly can you get these upgrades? -
