  1. Lost 8 points so far from it - Blackpool, WBA, Cardiff and now today. Don’t know if it’s mental, stamina or what but it is a problem and something the manager needs to address. Teams know if they can stay in the game they will get a goal late on. It is already costing us and will likely cost us a too 6 finish if we can’t sort it.
  2. I’m sure he will expect a say in transfers, to be one voice. As for WBA, can they afford him - or how much is he willing to walk away from? When he finally does take a job it will be interesting to see how he gets on.
  3. You always seem to think you know a lot about Dyche. He’s more than happy to work with a DOF As for you ‘Benitez would be better’ - based on what? His failure at Newcastle despite spending more on one player than Dyche did in 5 seasons? Now there is still a question as to whether Dyche can do it again. My opinion is yes and that if given a chance at Forest/Bournemouth he will do well but only time will tell. For now he’s happy taking around 325k a month home from his Burnley salary.
  4. The cricket club usually welcomes away fans and - Newcastle aside - there has been pretty much zero trouble. However this game is different. Every idiot, each and every last one, be they Claret and Blue or Blue and White, will be looking for trouble, especially after full time. The result won’t really matter. It’s a shame but also a sad reality. I imagine train users will be escorted straight to the ground. Bubble or not I can see you guys being held back at full time as well. Expect similar in the return fixture. As rubbish as it is we all know there are a collection of spanners that will seek trouble.
  5. Depends who was appointed first, Kompany or Tomasson 🤷‍♂️
  6. We will rue all these points we’ve thrown away this season. That said we apparently weren’t all that great so maybe got what we deserved. Watford taking Stoke apart and looking more like the attacking threat I expected them to be.
  7. Not sure what he would know about it. He’s not a local, doesn’t support the club and doubt he’s spoken to many of his constituents. But I haven’t said fans don’t come from Pendle - I’m from Pendle and now live back there. But you guys like to make out Blackburn is your only area when of course that is absolute rubbish. On the scheduling issue - I don’t see how playing a game of football is disrespectful. Don’t we all lionise those who famously left the trenches in WW1 to have a kick about before going back to shelling each other? I’d argue playing games is exactly what we should do and the match gives both sets of fans chance to honour service people.
  8. I can’t see them giving you all the Cricket Field - though I think they should to reduce the risk of significant disorder. I can’t remember what exactly the away end capacity is - I had 2300 in my head As for what you will give us - not a clue. The business men will want as many as possible. Personally, in your shoes, I’d limit it, sort of quid pro quo.
  9. I just can’t see it not being - trouble is on the rise and the plastic arm waving hoolies are on the rise.
  10. So I see T’crapico has been moved to high noon on the Sunday and is to be shown on the old telly box Sorry posted before I saw the earlier post about this.
  11. And it’s no nay never …
  12. Burnley and Pendle have a sizeable Asian populations as well - for example Nelson is around 44% Asian.
  13. I wouldn’t trust council as far I can throw it - but maybe the figures I’ve looked at previously excluded some areas or were just the town. On Pendleton, that is a hell of an increase if accurate.
  14. I’ll take your word for it on the splits but Burnley’s population is not that high. Maybe 85,000 tops, Pendle 92,000 - with the populations largely declining last time I checked. one thing I read at one point that was in your favour was that the average age of Blackburn’s population was decreasing as well.. Ah sorry didn’t realise yours had gone up so much - a few years back they always seemed to be about half the cost of ours at the entry level. I feel like there’s a chant in there somewhere 😂
  15. I thought our season tickets were more expensive than yours - Adults at £365-£590 And don't worry, I'm anticipating plenty of woe to come from our owners. Give another couple of years and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make the chicken farmers look like model owners.
  16. Anyway all these debates around attendance make no difference to what will happen on the pitch. They are pointless. I’m a Burnley fan simply because they are my local team - and that’s true for every Burnley fan, either locals or children of fans who’ve had the madness passed down to them. I’d imagine it’s the same for most on here too..
  17. Pendle is not Burnley no matter how much you want it to be. Blackburn (the town) has a population 42% higher than Burnley - add in Darwen, as you have done as a unitary authority, it’s just under twice the size. Facts are a b***h but they are facts rather than conjecture over catchment areas and who supports who in towns all over the North West.
  18. I’m just saying they could - not they do. Like I say your catchment area is bigger than ours - and Blackburn is considerably bigger than Burnley.
  19. Indeed - and the fact that Blackburn is nearly twice the size of Burnley is absolutely relevant. Outlying towns can come to Burnley or Rovers - but these days more likely one of the Manchester Clubs who are less than an hour away on public transport.
  20. People from Pendle, Bacup, Whitworth can just as easily go to Rovers. You’ve also got Darwen, Clitheroe, Ossy, Accy, Great Harwood, Rawtenstall, Ramsbottom. A much bigger catchment area. Sadly I think you are right. Will need lots of police and stewards. I’d say that would be fair play. Whether the money men would sign off on it I don’t know. I assume the ritual toilet smashing is set to recommence as well.
  21. Not sure what is being said but all Burnley fans should remember the dark days of the mid 80s and how long our attendance took to even marginally recover. At the end of the day Burnley is a town of less than 80,000 people and also one of the most economically deprived areas in England, we will never get 30k gates. Attendance arguments are pointless, fans of teams with 500 fans care as much as those with 50000 on regularly. All clubs attendances slowly diminish if they have periods of poor performances and results. Indeed every idiot and his stupid brother. Still not sure you’ll get all the stand - though I also don’t really see how they will keep the idiots apart. We got 5600 at PNE and (I think) similar at Wigan. We have offered every team a reciprocal fixed price for tickets. No idea whether your club took us up on the offer though. Person I think the ‘20 is plenty’ campaign was a great idea and wish clubs would implement it for away fans in the Championship. Suspect both clubs might try to profiteer on this one.
  22. I’ve not heard this and there are quite a lot of season tickets sold in there so I’d be a bit surprised - though you are right about the handbags in there and against you guys it is bound to be worse, from both sides.
  23. Character building events. Had some great times in Division 4. Another game of domination of the ball without opening them up. It’s great but needs to be moved quicker at times. Credit to PNE for their defending though - and hitting us on the counter. Their goal came from a mistake by us again but after we scored they were the better team for 15 mins - we seemed a bit all over the place. Still it’s an away point and I’ll take that. We move on to Saturday and another tough looking game.
  24. It’s was only a poor joke, taking off the Scot on dragons den.
