According to the BBC Brighton want Kompany if their current manager leaves. I’m a bit surprised by that, if it’s true of course.

We can’t change the team drastically for the remaining matches purely because the squad isn’t strong enough. Amongst the defeats we have had some decent performances for example against Southampton and Leeds.
The main concern has to be who else can score goals apart from Szmodics? Where on earth have Gallagher’s goals gone? Dolan spends most of the time doing his tricks out on the wing instead of in the box where it hurts.
We, the fans, can’t give up now and just have to hope the players don’t either
I don’t want to appear to be picking on Gally, nobody is+playing well at the moment, but as you say “ where have the goals gone ? “ He doesn’t even look like scoring a goal. Even Hedges and Siggy were a better bet for a goal.

I was looking forward to the season being "over" yesterday and expected a win, would have been a nice bit of relief for us fans... Nope! Here we are again, right back in the relegation mix.
This squad is just shit. Zero consistency, soft as they come and not an ounce of passion (barring Sammie).
Wouldn't be surprised if we got stuffed... also wouldn't be surprised if we went and won. No idea what version of the team is gonna turn up - can't wait for a few months off!
That’s why I look forward to the international breaks. They can’t ruin that weekend. Crazy isn’t it ?

Just thinking about the other strikers besides Sammi - Exactly what have they contributed this season ?

They have an owner who cares.
Without that no team will ever thrive. Expecting Rovers to flourish under the Chicken Chokers is just silly.

I watched the FA Cup game this afternoon and Roy Keane in the after match comments on Man Utd said an interesting thing - “ this set of players are extremely difficult to like “.
Just how I feel about the current Rovers team.

Experience won out in the penalties.

At a proper club if a player has repeat poor performances they’re out. At Rovers we can’t do that because we haven’t got the players to bring in to replace the weak links.
Drop Pears - Who for ? Drop Brittain and Pickering to bring in whom ? Drop Gally to bring in Telly ?
The bottom line is our squad is poor as piss.

That couldn't have gone better for us - Coventry losing a heartbreaker on penalties.
Lovely stuff. Hope they're done for the season now.
Let’s hope so. That only works though if we put them under pressure. Just trying to cruise through will only end one way.

They’re not a team they’re eleven individuals.
Definitely. No real team shape at all.

ten Hag has spent a fortune and can't get a consistent tune out of these players. He'll rightly be sacked shortly.
Yes, worst Utd team I’ve seen in a long while.

Compare and contrast, the spirit Coventry have shown in a vital match, with the spirit we showed today in another vital match.
I agree regarding spirit but - 1st one shinned in a la Jason Roberts, 2nd a massive deflection. 3rd a pretty kind pen.
We could have done with just one of those today.

Totally agree about the back 3 the players aren't suited to it neither are the wing backs who don't havete pace or mobility for the role
It was ok at Leeds when we knew we be under a siege but today at home in a game we needed a result from ? Not really.

This group cannot handle pressure. Simply they cannot handle the pressure of being behind. The current and previous manager have been categorically unable to turn games around.
Recently we played very well against Leeds and Southampton, we never went behind. Equally we were absolutely atrocious against Sheff Wed and Bristol City, both teams that are equal if not of a lower standard but could find no way to turn up. Very, very worrying.
Got it in one. Score first and we’re ok. Go behind and it’s over.. once it went to 1-2 it was over. We have no self belief, desire, will to win. All the things you need to get back in a game.

Surprised you left the keeper off that list.
And not the first time he’s cost us games either by a long chalk. Brian Clough once said “nobody can lose you a game quicker than your goalkeeper” and there was a fella who knew what he was talking about!
He followed that up by saying “ so sign the best one you can afford “. Maybe we did ! Keep hold of Kaminski and we wouldn’t be in this mess.

Tim Flowers v Liverpool springs to mind. But I would say today’s was worse
That was just unlucky, the ball hit a divot and bounced up.

I’m not a fan of knee jerk posting during games mate tbh. I’ve seen too many games turned on their heads in no time over the years. But that 3rd Wed goal today pretty much sums up our two keepers tbh. If we do get relegated you can definitely point to that position as a deciding factor.
Brian Clough once said - “ Nobody can lose you a game quicker than your goalkeeper “ . He wasn’t far wrong.

Wolves away and we almost fucked that up from 3-0 up!
3-0 up and cruising and we made a right meal of seeing that one out.
