" It's All Over Now " - The Valentinos. The young Bobby Womack is on this one.
Hi Audax, yeah " Little Red Riding Hood ", I love that one , I still play it all the time. That bit were the wolf howls and then pretends to be a sheep always makes me smile.
Hi FQM, yeah " Sign Of The Times " , good record, you don't hear it much now.
Back to the game. A bit of a cheat. Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds - " Out Of Time ".
Clarence Carter - ( Making Love ) At The Dark End Of The Street. The first 4 minutes of this is a pretty boring rap, then right out of the blue Carter kicks off into a fabulous version of the of the old James Carr soul classic. The last 60 seconds make it worth a listen.
Crimson And Clover - Tommy James and the Shondells.
re The Bobby Fuller Four, they did a great version of ' Love's Made A Fool Of You ' as well. His death was a great loss and very, very suspicious. Looks like he crossed the wrong person. The Crickets original of " I Fought The Law " is pretty good also.
Yeah I like that one Audax, great record.
Back to the comp, another pretty unknown classic = I Fought The Law - The Bobby Fuller Four. Sorry Clash fans but this version is the boss.
I wouldn't say goal kicking is particularly bad in league, there are some really good kickers. I think the main difference is that in union penalties come so often and seem to be the main method of points scoring for some teams. Because of that a lot of teams " carry " a player just because of their goal kicking ability. In league the actual scoring of tries takes a more prominent role so hardly any teams " carry " a goal kicker ".
Just off out to feed my whippets.
Oh dear, what happened tonight ? Men versus boys down in Cardiff. My local had the game on, why do 70k people pay good money to watch kean like that ? It's a mystery to me. Why is the referee the man of the match in these games ?
