1. Jose's self confident and people who have no confidence in themselves can't stand people like that.

If what Jim J says is true -

Mourinho has just been on sky, what a ######.  mad.gif Says they won 6-0, and we were lucky it wasn't more.

357162

- then I can hardly agree. Such a comment transcends ordinary self-confidence or even ordinary arrogance. Mourinho espouses garbage that only a deluded man drunk on blinding arrogance is capable of procuring.
2. My most hated (in no particular order):

Alex Ferguson

Jose Mourinho

Steve Bruce

Roy Keane

Luis Figo

I'll have to conjure a new top five list. Some of those hatreds are now waning - at least waning out of my top five. Mourinho and Bruce are the only real permanent ones. Ferguson is a little nicer now that Hughes is our boss, while Roy Keane is getting on a bit. I don't see enough of Figo to warrant a constant burning hatred.

1. Jose Mourinho

2. Steve Bruce

3. Karen Brady

4. David Sullivan

5. David Gold

Mark Halsey and Mike Riley receive special mentions for their recent pathetic refereeing displays (Liverpool and Chelsea).

3. OK. My half-time analysis.

...

The referee Mike Riley has had a relatively good game so far.

Who am I kidding? This second half he was shocking. He was giving Rovers yellow cards left, right, and centre, and gave Chelsea all the 50-50s, like the commentator said.

I was especially ###### off when Dickov got a card for the smallest of touches in a tackle the deserved no more than a foul, if that. After that, Terry lunges in with a bad tackle on a Blackburn forward (I forget who) and does not receive any sort of booking.

Sparky was absolutely right to be fuming and should not have been sent off anyway (and this was before the above-mentioned incidences, mind you, which shows just how poor Riley was). Can the referee's decisions not be questioned these days?

4. OK. My half-time analysis.

Bellamy is on the top of his game at the moment. Plus the boy is pure class. Only he could have scored two goals in this game - none of our other players could manage it.

I think Emerton is having a good game. He's having a real go of it and forced Cech into a very good save. He also played a couple of one-twos that came off, including that good goal attempt.

I am fuming with Todd and hope he does not get a spot when Nelsen comes back. He is a liability and gave away a silly penalty. Saying that, I will probably forgive him by the time the next game comes.

The penalty for us was a bit soft but is technically correct. You cannot put your studs into an opposition player's leg.

The referee has had a relatively good game so far.

Joe cole is giving us trouble with his pace on our right.

Gray is actually playing a good game, both in defence and attack.

I think that Dickov should have been given a go at the start because he can cause real trouble in defence with his abrasive style of play. Kuqi has no cutting edge on him, nor any control, and is being found out against a top team.

We have been the dominant force in the latter half of the first half. We have been keeping possession very well and Chelsea have hardly settled on the ball in that time. They demolished us in the first 20 or so minutes, though.

That is all I can think of right now, rightly or wrongly. I was going to berate good old Hughesy on here for his 4-4-2 tactical choice when we were 2-0 down, but he is manager for a reason, and I am not manager for a reason!

5. hahahahaha someone is going to to well upset come 5pm Saturday afternoon, your Chelski firm will be crying in their pints if you think its going to be that easy:lol:
Ha ha! This sort of banter can turn out to be spectacular for you after a victory. You would be able to really rub it in.

Naturally, it'll probably backfire. That spells trouble. It's a risky business.

Anyway, my prediction is 1-0 to us, with Savage scoring against the Special Ones.

6. In response to Steve Bruce saying that the pen was the worst decision that he has suffered in his managerial career Alan Green has said that in his opinion Bruce is talking daft and that it WAS a stonewall case for a pen.

I certainly thought it was clear-cut. Dickov had both his arms held behind his back before the ball even got to him and continued to be held back thereafter. It was a penalty long before he took a dive to the ground.

EDIT: Must say I was surprised to get it, though. We usually don't get these sorts of decisions going our way.

7. How Liverpool could pay £21 million for Crouch and Cisse i will never know, presonally i would rather have Bill and Ben upfront. Knew Cisse wouold score as soon as we started singing about his leg but it was funny.

That's rubbish what you say about Cisse. He was quality yesterday, apart from his finishing, and he got a goal anyway. On another day he would have ripped us right open and bagged three or more. I'd love to have Cisse playing for us, thankyou very much. He puts Dickov and Kuqi to shame.

With Crouch, he is severely overrated by people in the football world, but it doesn't help him one bit that his teammates lump the ball in the air to him from the middle of the park. They should try putting it to his feet because he ain't going to score like that.

Unfortunately I had to sit near the moronic element who started the chant.  I hope they're proud of themselves- they cost us at least a point today, but then I've been saying a similar thing all season.

Pfft. It was Souness' fault, not the fans.

8. I thought Hughes took the wrong forward off.  Dickov showed last season that he can be effective as a lone striker and he should have stayed on imo.

I thought so too. However, if Hughes took Kuqi off then what sort of message does that give him after he scored two goals in the last match? It was a case of man management rather than the best tactical choice.

9. I'm really ###### off at the referee's performance today. I was absolutely livid. Take the card away today and it was a performance that could have easily snatched three points.

I felt very disappointed for the boys as they could really not be faulted for their performance. But perhaps dropping Bentley would be a wise move, because he is a very anonymous player, and really isn't bring Lucas Neill into the game, and we all know that Neill is a threat attacking from the wing when he's on his game.

10. Australia 5-0 Jamaica at Craven Cottage. Australia played a 3-4-3 formation throughout.

Lucas Neill played out the full 90 minutes in the centre of a three-man defence, and I thought he looked alright, despite it being an unusual position for him, and although he was beaten for pace once or twice. He wore the captain's armband for most of the second half after Mark Viduka came off, so coach Guus Hiddink obviously rates him.

Bret Emerton started in the centre of midfield, unusual for him yet again, and had a decent game. He was on the park for most of the match and was the catalyst for Viduka's goal and Australia's third. He made a brilliant pass from left of centre at the halfway line to someone (I forget who) on the left side of the box, who crossed it in for Viduka.

In brief, both players were nothing special in a special team performance.

11. Yes it does.  Easy money is not everything as the examples set by Best / Gazza / Maradona  / Stan Bowles / Rio F / Merson / Adams / Greaves etc etc must surely verify.

351396

Actually, if we take the word "daft" to mean "having a debilitating suit habit" then I am correct in saying that since Savage is overflowing with money then it hardly matters whether he has such a habit or not. And it wouldn't be debilitating.

To take the word "daft" to mean serious and debilitating alcohol-induced/drug-induced/etc. problems then I am wrong in saying that it hardly matters since those players/ex-players are overflowing with money.

However, I never did say the latter statement. I did say the first one, though.

12. I'm led to believe it was velvet too! laugh.gif

He doesn't help himself does he?  I bet the shop owners love him for being daft enough to take all the stuff that they couldn't even sell in the sales. smile.gif "Quick Everard, get that daft suit out of the sale window and stick a stupid price on it, I've just seen Robbie Savage heading this way"

350959

His pockets are overflowing with money so it hardly matters that he's daft.
