Ticketing details have been announced for the Southampton game and once again there is a vagueness about them. It's free for under 12's (I applaud them for that) but only with an adult ticket but does this include season ticket holders or is it just if you buy only for this specific match. I think that is the case but it's not made clear. Similarly it says they are only free if you have an adult ticket, no mention of seniors.

Arbitro - I checked this with Fraser Read. It seems to be bad wording rather than any deliberate policy. Any fan can get a free under 12s ticket as long as they are either buying an adult ticket for the game or they are already an adult season ticket holder. Adult includes seniors.
I have asked him to clarify it on the website.

in a mini league of 8 you just have to avoid being in the bottom 2 .
I'd prefer not to finish third bottom as well..................

What is absolutely nailed on is that there will be some odd results in the run in - there always are. We need to make sure that we get at least one of them.

Given Rovers Women are at Ewood tomorrow night and it will be the 3rd game in 7 days they couldn’t really play it there I guess.

So two months in his bunker instead then.
Leadership 👏 👏
The meeting is being delayed at the request of the fans, not the club. We wanted a meeting to be after the next court date in India, rather than the day before. Likely to be on 26th now.

Contact Christina Haines, Rovers’ Supporter Liaison Officer. She will be able to sort you out. It may also be possible for your friend to loan a headphone set to get match commentary as well.

Must be an age thing. I only know one Bristol Rovers supporter and he’s my age (60ish 😉) and that’s what he calls them. He also signs everything off on Facebook with ‘UTG’ (up the Gas)
It’s not an age thing. My wife’s from Bristol and I have family who are ciderheads. They all refer to Bristol Rovers fans as the gas.

I do hope we never have to play each other in league 1
We have done plenty of times, the last one only a few years ago. I’ve seen them play each other at 3 different grounds, Eastville, Twerton Park and the Memorial Stadium and of course at Ewood.

Been looking at press and video coverage of Swag in this somewhat eventful week and I am struggling to find the gap of sufficient time for him to have made the trip to Pune, had the meeting and got back.
I did a day trip to Memphis once but that involved the best part of three days from leaving my London office to getting back to my desk.
Well he was at the QPR game. He emailed me on the Monday asking for a meeting with me and the chair of the Fans Forum and we had it on Tuesday. He invited us both to the meeting with players on Wednesday but Mark was working and I went away on holiday.
I was told at the QPR game that he was off to India the day after but that can’t have happened.
He presumably could have gone later in the week though.
PS I once flew to San Francisco, slept, interviewed, flew to Lincoln, Nebraska, slept, interviewed, flew to Toronto, slept, interviewed and flew home. My bag stayed in Heathrow and caught up with me at Toronto. On the plane back from Toronto I was knackered and just wanted to sleep. The Rangers team were on the flight going home and I had Ally McCoist and Stuart McCall sat behind me. They spent the whole night trying to get the cabin crew into bed.

Would it not be that he signed a £600pw contract when he joined from Preston and then was rewarded with a rise from Feb 21?

Wot, no yellow cards? Surely shome mistake?
a while back I posted that about this time last year I went away for 3 weeks and we won all 5 games we played including the cup game at Leicester.
I went away again on Wednesday for a similar period and we win again. I’m away until 2nd March, just back an hour before the Swansea game. If anyone wants to country to a find to keep me away feel free.

Well, Ennis has finally scored at Ewood! 😂
He scored at Ewood back in August against Walsall.

He came on early due to the injury to Guehi. On the BBC website, notwithstanding his early mistake, he got the highest individual score from Palace fans, admittedly in a very poor set.
-
Actually what we need is a run like the one when I went away at a similar time last year. I was away for 3.5 weeks and we won 5 games in a row, 4 in the league and at Leicester in the cup.

I'll be on a beach in Thailand.
Mostly I won’t be on the beach - that will just be the last few days of the trip.

Tuesday. Obviously Rovers haven’t got round to update the fixture list, standard for them.
Shoddy by the Beeb though considering it’s live on BBC1.
It has been moved by the BBC now. Either way I'll be on the beach in Rio.

Both Rovers and the BBC have it listed at 19.45 on Wednesday 28th?

Travis was on the bench most of the first half of the season.

I think there are 12 pro clubs within 30 miles of Ewood - Rovers, Burnley, Liverpool, Everton, man Utd, man City, accrington, Preston, WIgan, Bolton, Blackpool, Fleetwood
My figure of 15 within 40 miles, as a direct comparison with Ipswich, had Tranmere, Stockport and Morecambe in. And it should have Bradford City as well. And Huddersfield is only 41 miles.

And in Preston
It started about 2 minutes after I posted! Only about 15 minutes heavy rain although still a steadier lighter rain.

Apart from Colchester Ipswich don't have another football league club within 40 miles. Rovers have 15 clubs within 40 miles, including 5 Premier League clubs.
Suffolk has a population of about 760,000.

Here in Preston it rained hard overnight but has done little to nothing since about 9am.
The forecast fort Ewood is to rain until about 5 and then probably be much lighter. I can't see a problem with the game going ahead. The real issue these days is when you get very heavy rain immediately before and when a game is on and that doesn't look likely.

They tell me he plays for Lancashire, but I've never seen this man with a red rose on his cap and I watch pretty much every game on LancsTV.
Not very carefully then. He has played 21 first class games already. He has been a regular in the T20 competition for 2/3 seasons as well. I don't think he's played in the One Day Cup, but because he has been in the dreaded Hundred instead.

I’m looking at the rules and can’t see anything other than the clubs getting 50% each (until the semi final stages)
Where are you getting the FA taking 10% from?
I got the info from a simple google search, but I have now looked at the rules. Split of gate receipts is 50/50 up to and including round 2. From round 3 to the quarter finals an EPL or EFL club gets 45% and a non-league team 55%. It's not specified in the rules where the other 10% goes if two EPL/EFL clubs play each other as will happen next week, but there are lots of references on google to the FA taking it.
The specific rule is 22 b iii.

It's considerably better to do it now than the previous policy, which would have led to deductions for next season.
I have no sympathy for Forest. They knew the rules, they were told last January try their own FD that they had to sell in the window but bought some more instead. Then they had to sell Brennan Johnson very quickly in the Summer to meet the rules and failed by a day or so.
