Is not not 3 ways after expenses both clubs and and the F.A. takes a cut?
For FA Cup games each club takes 45% of the takings after expenses and the FA takes the other 10%.

They are talking shite about Watford but Waggot has the same generic answer every time for these things.
There'd have been 3k home fans and half the number of away fans at best at normal prices but there were around 4k extras pitched up due to the pricing. Take in added spend around the ground, shop etc and the taking can't have been much different, of course the team went and ballsed it up as is standard for Rovers these days.
I'm pretty sure that the club are right and you're wrong here Tomphil. You're right that it wasn't much different, but it would be a bit less.
Tickets for the Watford game were quite a bit less than for a normal Saturday game. I would assume that it would have been priced at £25/£20/£10 as the QPR game is priced. For the Watford game it was £10/£5/£2 (ignoring the £1 for the Community Trust). So the average take per person is going to be well under half. My best guess would be say £6pp against £15pp*. Sure stop and concession profits would have closed the gap but I'm fairly sure that the total would have been "a little less" as in the quote in the minutes.
None of this changes the overall view from the club that the day was a great success and indeed another day is planned before the end of the season.
* That's my estimate, not based on any inside information, but in line with all I have heard over the years going back to John Williams' day.

Don't take anything only2garners has to say seriously, same bloke who said to waggott and Co at the FF that we should put match day tickets up by £3 a game instead of charging the old waggott tax of £3 after 12pm on match days that we used to do.
I'm flattered that you've gone back several years to make a point that people should ignore anything that I post, especially when you have misquoted the minute anyway.

S4C are showing the Bournemouth v Swansea game on the Thursday!

There was a stat last year I think about how we picked up more points with Gallagher in the team than not.
This season he has played some part in 4 games - 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat, so 7 points. Without him we have picked up 25 points in 22 games. If he had played all games and got the same return we would be in the play-offs right now.

I suspect that Monday night is a very real possibility. There are currently no major games scheduled for Monday night and there is a full midweek PL fixture list, hence why no PL club cup game has been scheduled for Monday.

So are we now saying that Rovers aren't charging enough for tickets?
I would imagine that what the clubs did was agree that they would charge £20 for adults at both games.
I just had look at Huddersfield's website and for their next 4 home games they are charging £25 for adults, £20 for over 65s, £10 for under 11s and £15 for 12-18 year olds. They also have a cheaper offer of £15 for a small part of one of their stands.
I presume Rovers have just applied their typical £20 offer with standard reductions for concessions. This means that over 65s Rovers fans paid £20 and Huddersfield over 65s will only pay £16. But on the other hand any walk-up Rovers fans will pay less for the home game than they would have for the away game. To be honest I really can't get worked up over this. Our deals are a lot better for concessions than Huddersfield's. Would we have wanted Rovers to charge young people what Huddersfield charge i.e. quite a bit more than normal?? How popular would that have been?

Any news on the rescheduled Cardiff game? I planned to stay in Cardiff that weekend but now it's the facup! Doh!
I suspect that there will be no rush to get this game played. Neither side will be keen to put on a midweek game in February.

He's at school in Altrincham, so I assume he was born around there. If he had been born in Ireland and moved over when he joined Rovers he would hardly have moved there.

so can someone please explain to me as to why ,we hear we have this all singing all dancing acadamy thats up there with the elite odf the elite and we dont develop the young ones of own and prefer to develop other teams kids for them and get nothing from it it in the long term.
Surelyif the acadamy is everythuing we are told it is then we shouldnt need to bring in kids that have failed at coventry for example . Dont know about anyone else but i support the team in blackburn not the future team of poxy brighton.
I know Abbey, it’s terrible isn’t it. We only had 3 Academy players start the game today and another 3 end it.

Great to be in the hat for the next round.
Sadly, we are Sammie Rovers at the moment and goodness knows where we would be without him.
Is there any official news on Sammie's injury - is it a groin or a hammy (heard it's a hammy issue)? Poor game management by JDT - Sammie should have been off after 65 minutes (at the latest) when we went 4-2 up.
Today's win just masks all the problems we have as a football team and I expect 'normal business' to be resumed next Saturday with a resounding defeat at The Hawthorns.
Excellent news Mercer, having picked up my West Brom tickets today.

Which most clubs are doing on their in house TV tonight and they did on Boxing Day. So they should be on the RB then like last year? Like I said, strange.
Ah well.
Unless having an in house TV option is different in Sky's eyes to iFollow?

I have this vague recollection about some non Saturday afternoon games not being available on the red button, like around Christmas and Easter?
I just found this on the Sky website: -
Please note: We can only show rescheduled, displaced midweek games or games taking place away from Saturday at 3pm that are not part of a regular midweek round on the Red Button where respective clubs stream them on their iFollow app.
Anyway I'm going with my son. It's my birthday today and I don't think I've ever seen them win on this day. Not hopeful of a change in luck tonight but who knows?

Merry Christmas to all Rovers supporters, I haven't been on this site for a while due to illness, but I will be back at Ewood on Saturday hoping to see Rovers get back on track.
Good to hear that you’re better, but perhaps better wait until Monday to go to Ewood.

Apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere but what was the FF reaction to this utter nonsense? Did they just nod along to it in agreement like they appear to do with everything else?
Ive been saying for years we'll be lucky if we still have a Club left by the time Waggott is finished, I do wonder what his end game is - no-one could possibly be that stupid.
Simon - how do you expect the FF to have had a reaction to this given it has been announced since our last meeting?
We are making representations direct to management outside the meeting structure though.
