Presumably it will be the end of the classic Lancs out grounds when they build that new one in Leyland.
The Farington site is not intended as a replacement for the out grounds, although I guess there might be an odd game there. But it will of course be an out ground itself anyway.

330k people in Preston city??
Please stop John; you’re getting worse.
Lies, damned lies and statistics. It is completely pointless trying to analyse sales based on arbitrary political boundaries. For Preston you can't ignore adding South Ribble's population on to Preston's. That makes a total of c260K, actually a lot closer to JohnD's first attempt. But all the other numbers need reviewing as well, hence the analysis is pointless.

why don't Rovers do designs like this one below?
Blackburn Rovers 3D Printed Hoodie For Men Women | Shirt Brigade
There seems to be a spelling mistake on that website. An extra r in the first word.

I should have done it but forgot. I will get it done but the technology is currently challenging me on my iPad in London. I will post when I’ve sorted it but it will probably be when I get back home on Tuesday.
The presentation should now be available on the website as a link from the minutes.

Found it 😀(in the new sporting director/DoF thread)
My initial post wasn’t intended as a criticism, I was merely seeking clarification (which you’ve kindly provided)
You’re right, it was,
.The thread got seriously off track for a while.

That is what I thought minutes of a meeting where
I’ve been taking minutes of meetings for more than 30 years, many of them a damn sight more difficult and contentious than these and never have I written down everything that was said.

Shouldn’t the minutes accurately reflect what was said in the meeting?
ie. if K-Hod ‘went off on one’ the minutes should record this.
I explained some time last week how I write the minutes and why they are not a verbatim record of what everyone says. That would be a) impossible for me to do unless I recorded the meeting and then took days to write it all up and b) fantastically tedious to read.
it was either in this thread on the ST one.

It states in the minutes that the Her Game Too presentation was attached to the minutes but it doesn’t appear to be uploaded. I’d be keen to see that, please could you ask the club to add it?

Firstly I think I should ask Rich Sharpe for a fee for that article. All he has done is pick out some points from the minutes I wrote and made an article out of it.
Unfortunately Rich missed out an important proviso when he quoted the numbers. The 849 is the number of fans who took out a fill ST last season who have not renewed AND are still contactable from the club database. The rest the club cannot contact directly. They have either died, removed themselves from the database or have not given the club approval to be contacted, so they can’t. Obviously they can still do general advertising but they can’t be sent anything directly or be called.
The 7.300 figure was as at last Wednesday. I had some email correspondence with Fraser Read re the numbers after the meeting and he gave me an updated number.

They should be on the club website tomorrow. They have been agreed with the club and have been circulated to Forum members this morning. I always do this in case anyone has any issues with them. I have asked the club to release them tomorrow.

not surprised ipswich have sold over 20000 season tickets,it`s in the middle of nowhere and they don`t compete with other teams or other sports, one sniff of success and they all start flocking
Suffolk has a population of 760,000 and one league team.
Lancashire has a population of 1.495m, so slightly under twice as many and 7 league teams.

Isn't there usually a close down for a few days whilst any seat moves are arranged?

Today's i newspaper has an article about what a mess Leeds are in now. Their American investors were due to pay £220m for Radrizzani's 56% share to take control in the Summer. That would value Leeds at £420m, but the paper suggests that they are probably only worth £170m with relegation. It's not clear whether Radrizzani would be willing to take that hit to get out. He might decide to stay and hope that they get promoted quickly whilst they still have parachute payments.

Seat map still not updated to show the true picture. Waiting for it to reveal the non-renewed seats. Although, for all I know, everyone could have renewed. 🙃
Here's an exclusive goozburger - they haven't!

I can understand why they didn’t have the Championship one today as they probably didn’t want to put it up against the PL final day, but why Saturday and not the traditional Monday I’m not sure.
I'm not sure Monday is very traditional. The last two before yesterday have been on Saturday and Sunday.

You are right. If they are published next friday it will be 11 days, so less than two weeks out of date. But it doesn't really matter when the figures are released. It matters what the figures are.
Next Friday will be 10 days, unless you are counting Tuesday23rd. Given we only finished the meeting about 8.30.pm, that’s a bit harsh.

I’m glad you’re not doing the numbers Rigger - the meeting was only on Tuesday. I finished them yesterday, mainly because I went to the cricket on Thursday.

Women’s league always gets top billing over the EFL on the BBC these days… yet even the National League gets substantially bigger crowds.
It seems perfectly logical to me. They put Premier League first, then Scotland, then Women's Super League and then EFL with Wales and Ireland later. Women's Championship comes after mens EFL. Then after that European leagues.
You might not agree with having the top women's league ahead of the EFL but I can see the logic in it.

There will be some up to date numbers in the Fans Forum minutes, which should be out next week.

The non forum fans, can only come to any conclusions from what we read. Reading the minutes from previous meetings it would seem more listening than consulting goes on. I realise that the minutes are edited by the Rovers, so they may give a sanitised version of events. But if you think the minutes have been edited to the point of giving a false impression of the Fans Forum points of view, then that should be your first statement at the next meeting.
It may be that I am guilty from time to time of not fully expressing the whole discussion, but there is a danger that could end up in pages and pages of minutes which not many would read. By necessity a set of minutes is just a summary of what discussion takes place at a meeting rather than a verbatim record. Typically I tend to end up with points raised by Forum members and the final comments by the club in response. I guess that does make them look like we ask a question and the club responds, but mostly it doesn't happen like that in reality.
The club do see my draft minutes and often make some small changes but the vast majority of the changes they make are entirely sensible, often my typos. I can only think of a couple of changes that I have queried and we have easily reached a compromise. And they were mostly in the John Williams/Tom Finn era. We will also occasionally talk about a subject which the club asks not be minuted - there was one on Tuesday. Again that's fairly rare now but was rife whenever John Williams came.
Anyway, none of this has much to do with Gregg Broughton, so any follow-up would be better on the FF thread.

So what does a consultative forum do ?
Err… It consults? The Forum is a group of fans with whom the club consults on issues of interest to the fans. We have no right to force the club to do anything, but we hope to get our points across.
Often fans look at the minutes and see statements that the club makes and seem to assume that somehow it’s an agreed position, when usually it’s just the club’s response to a question.

Pretty uncalled for seeing as the Fans Forum appears to have become little more than a tea and biscuits Club nodding along in agreement with everything the Football Club comes up with.
Someone has to hold the Club to account with a critical eye even if you are not prepared to.
That seems pretty uncalled for as well Rev, for what I intended as a joke.
I keep plugging away trying to get over fans’ views and improving things as and when we can. It’s only a consultative forum, not a negotiating one, which quite a few on here don’t seem to grasp.

Tyrone - pretty much every major performance from Glastonbury should be in the iPlayer for a while.
I'm pretty much with you on Elton John. He seems like a genuinely good bloke but I have never been enthusiastic about his music - I rate a couple of songs but not much else. I made the mistake on Sunday of deciding to see his set thinking it was at least going to produce some interesting guests. I was wrong, with the exception of Jacob Lusk. Overall it was dire and I should have done what my son did and walked after 20 minutes and found something more interesting (although I don't think his solution of Queens of The Stone Age was the right answer!). There were plenty others that did leave. The fireworks were nice though.
Apart from that a great week at Glastonbury as always.
Saw Texas. The Gabriels, Steve Earle, Young Fathers and Kelis on Friday. The Unthanks, Rick Astley’s last song, Amadeu & Mariam, Lizzo and Christine & The Queens on Saturday. Black Country, New Road, The Speakers Corner Quartet and The Hu, The War on Drugs and Elton John Sunday.
A lot of those were half watching and listening while working on the WaterAid water bar at West Holts. Many were also part watched.
My Glastonbury moment was hearing a fabulous version of Mount the Air by The Unthanks and the best band overall The War on Drugs. Weirdest but excellent Christine & The Queens.
