  1. He's doing the job that Mowbray has asked him to do. He's obviously not a traditional #9, as he doesn't like playing with his back to goal, but he could play up front in the centre for us. He just likes the ball to feet.
  2. Agreed, Rothwell was sensational when he came on. We've not seen those types of runs and passes from the centre of the park for a number of years. Should give him a run of 5 games with Travis to see if they can form a partnership.
  3. Nah, his body language is atrocious. Is he looking to move and its been turned down?
  4. What's wrong with Armstrong? He looks in a right mood - and did at the end of last season too.
  5. Is anyone having trouble mirroring this to a smart TV from an iPad? Could do it last year - have they updated the app?
  6. His two finishes against Blackpool were the best two finishes I've seen by a Rovers player for a long time.
  7. At a minimum we need a LB. Stretch funds a bit further and I'd love a CB and a CM. ST is a pipe dream and, quite frankly, we have to live or die by the £15m strike force Tony has assembled (Armstrong, Dack, Gallagher, Brereton).
  8. Bell is an utter liability at LB. A proven one. Wharton and Carter, at worst, are young and can improve. We DESPERATELY need a LB. More than anything else (besides new owners).
  9. If we're talking about priorities, and I can only have one player, I want a LB.
  10. I wouldn't mind another good one to take the pressure off Travis.
  11. And I appreciate him for it.
  12. If we were a well run club, our offer to Kipre would be guaranteed first team football in the North West (which he appears to enjoy) on more money than he's currently getting paid (although he might currently being paid £0). We wouldn't sit on the offer though - we don't have the luxury. Make the offer, let him know that he's our #1 target, but only until Friday. After that, the deal may still be on the table, but we're also looking elsewhere. We're desperate for a CB. It's then his decision to hurry Leeds / WBA along if he's desperate for a move to the Prem, or accept our offer. Although I'm sure he's not short of suitors.
  13. I don't consider him worthy of his salary, so he'd be paying us back.
  14. As I said earlier, it's absolutely a holding bid while they pursuit other interests. They probably think he would be a decent squad player for them (with perhaps the potential to be something more) - and at that price if he's not then it's no skin off their nose.
  15. That's us fucked then.
  16. I'm sure it's very difficult to say no to the lifestyle.
  17. The money in football is mental anyway. If someone offered me double but said I'd play cup games only and be cover I'd say thanks but no thanks.
  18. Honestly they'll just be testing the water while looking for better players.
  19. Has Mowbray really said that about Williams? What if no deal happens before the window closes? Then everyone knows you're carrying a player you don't want / doesn't want to be here. He's a shocking man manager.
  20. Sorry, just had to make that minor edit. Carry on.
  21. I can't say I've noticed how good Kipre is, but people are definitely overblowing the importance of Tosin as a defender. Fantastic on the ball, especially at this level, but defensively he left a lot to be desired.
  22. So the problem remains. You could have Van Dijk at CB with Lenihan. You'd still ship a ton of goals down that left hand side.
