  1. I think the picture has been cleared up somewhat today, it's between us and L'Arse. Spurs have been wobbling for a few games now and they've been on the end of a thrashing today, that can't be good for confidence. Bolton are pretty much out of it I feel, they've got a very tough run in. I feel we're somehow going to have to get something out of the Chelski and Liverpool games, which is a very tough ask. Still at worst Europe looks likely
  2. I'm still behind the Rovers, obviously, but it's a worrying run of form they've put together. The United game will be the big test for them - are they just steamrolling poor sides? Time will tell. As for Rovers, the Wigan game is a big test for us - we need to win it, no if, buts or maybes. I've not been impressed with our play of late (impressed with the results, but not the performances), but if we can get past Wigan with our CL bid unscathed then we've got as good a chance as anyone I suppose. Chelski look wobbly, shame we're not playing them anytime soon eh?
  3. 4th is looking increasingly out of reach, L'Arse are on fire!
  4. 2-1 United (ugh, that's sickens me)
  5. MOTDs going to be good tonight!
  6. 2-0 L'Arse, Henry. 1-0 Bolton, PieBoy. It's also 2-1 to Pompey, Lua Lua, but I suppose this is the wrong thread.
  7. Bloody Robbie Keane eh?
  8. Damn, L'Arse are 1-0 already.
  9. Big game at the Reebok this afternoon now
  10. You're right, seat belts are a menace
  11. It's a good development in the sense that the concourse is unbearable at half time, but somewhere should be provided for smokers to go.
  12. Probably because we sold out their away end and expected them to do the same. I agree though, the attendance figures are now beyond a joke - 20k for a Premiership team is disgraceful, especially one currently sitting in 5th. It's tough to blame the club though, there's little more they can feasibly do
  13. It's good news, as long as Tugay realises he's not guaranteed a start, and Hughes actively searches for a replacement.
  14. I suppose I'm happy about this development, but he's still doesn't fill me with confidence at right back, though he has markedly improved under Hughes. I'd prefer a solider defender, one with superior positional defence, but Neill brings that physicality that Hughes loves - athleticism, speed, strength, aggression, stamina - and we'd miss his forward runs greatly.
  15. I wouldn't knock him, it seems to be working!
  16. Unfortunately that can end up worse, Green and co tend to dwell upon an incident and try their upmost to sensationalise it at the expense of the listener knowing wtf is happening with the game!
  17. The screaming Sky bloke, Martin Tyler is it? The tag team of Gray and Tyler really rubs me up the wrong way, the hyperbole is unbearable - they'll slate a player one game and put him on a pedestal the next.
  18. That was an impressive performance tonight wasn't it - we've absolutely no chance of fourth if they continue in that form, though they really deserve it if they play like this.
  19. Didn't say I don't cheer for them, I just don't take the losses too hardly - an example being the Northern Ireland game, I laughed at the embarrassment rather than crying into my beer (nearly got my head kicked in for that I might add ). I didn't think Bellamy and Savage were tossers two years ago, though I had an inkling they were both rather foolish.
  20. I have a similar outlook on the England team, i.e a bunch of tossers I can't stand. Not that I don't cheer for them, because I do, but I don't feel the pain of a loss like I used to. As for my choice, Fat Sam - mainly just to shut him up and get rid of Bolton from the Prem.
  21. Have you seen how we played against Boro and Sunderland? Very poorly, we were fortunate both teams are mediocre at best. Obviously it's the mark of a good team when they win despite not playing well, but I don't like our chances if we continue in this vein. L'Arse on the other hand have been playing teams off the park.
  22. I'm going to get down the bookies in the morning and put a bet on L'Arse for fourth, they're the only team in form. Spuds have fluked another home win, we've not played well for at least a fortnight and Bolton pretty much have to win all their remaining games - highly unlikely considering their run in.
  23. Boing boing Baggies eh?
