  1. I seriously hope these papers are just picking up on the Sunday People's story and not having actual sources. Souness has redeemed himself somewhat in my eyes for his summer signings so far - if he was to release Cole and pay him off, well then he quite simply must go the way of the Russian royal family and be shot in a basement
  2. Clearly sales stats prove you are wrong. And what makes you think you carrying on about it will change anything?
  3. Frankly mate I don't care and I don't know why you can't just let it go - nobody in their right mind buys the Sun or the Daily Mail (or any of that sh!t) anyway.
  4. On a free, or with a transfer fee? On his ridiculous wages or has he taken a pay cut?
  5. I can't remember that having sex with a beautiful woman caused me to :- bite my nails to the quick; sit for 90 minutes all tensed up inside; wonder if a heart attack would ensue; grind my teeth in utter frustration and scuff my shoes on the ground in despair as I walked away despondently afterwards. Obviously you're doing it wrong
  6. I agree, they should force kids at schools all across the country to read Garner's book , infact why not sing hymns able Garner at asemblies instead of them Christian hymns Sounds like a sensible idea to me
  7. Bill Shankley Bill Shankly. Coming from an era when goalkeepers were not the "untouchables" that they are today, the great man would no doubt have had a robust view of last night's events. With regard to Swiss referee Urst Maier's performance, it is worth recalling one of his other classic quotes: "The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game." Regarding; 'Football's not a matter of life and death, it's more important than that'. Bill Shankley actually...ahem...'recycled' the quote. It was originally first uttered by an American Football coach, whose name I can't remember but maybe some of the American posters on here may know who it was . Was it Lombardi? Probably, Vince has all the best quotes
  8. You cannot possibly drop Owen, he's one of the few World Class players we have
  9. There isn't any, we have some of the worst fans in the league (oh and I have renewed my ticket using my student loan, despite living in Hull most of the year) Oh and Parasyte, good lad (or lass )
  10. Don't know why you bother watching it - I'm not wasting my time on a tournament organised by an association who don't send bung takers home in disgrace
  11. What's the web address? I'm willing to give it a go
  12. When do the team get home? I've got to organise a lynching possie for Sven our super Swede
  13. Don't like the team. Don't like the country. So why support them? Because I was born here? I want revenge for being born in the first place.. We all want fleurkin' revenge for you being born in the first place.... What exactly is stopping him/her from moving abroad?
  14. (Please don't use that word again) OFF!!! CHEATING HOME TOWN REFS!!!!!!!!IM FUMING!! C'mon Abs, we're all narked off at the moment, but that's no way to talk to a lady. It ain't the Portuguese fault the ref was bent (but if there are any Swiss on the board, be prepared to get an earful) I think they're hiding at the moment
  15. Even if Rooney was in the team, it would have been the same. It was the same against France. In my opinion what this match showed was-in how poor condition the English players were in. The Portuguese ran and ran and ran while the English players stood in their position trying to recover from the last attack. I remember how our players reacted when Hodgson brought in that Italian fitness coach and we trained twice a day. All the training the players do throughout the year- it's in situations like this that it shows and I felt the English players looked tired far quicker than you would expect from a strong squad. I think it had more to do with the fact we've played three games in seven days, with only three days rest after the last one (compared to Portugal's four). That coupled with a climate we're not used to (you can only aclimatise so much) and one the Portuguese were played against us somewhat.
  16. Does anyone have the address to FIFA's headquarters? What a blatant fix - we weren't watching football we were watching ballet. Now even if you can look past that poor refereeing throughout the match you surely can't warrant an unsighted referee overturning the decision of the linesman for the last minute goal, can you We weren't at our best, but deserved the win. No blame Darius, that took bottle
  17. Who cares? We're not going to buy him now
  18. I'm dissapointed with the De Pedro signing, I was actually hoping for another right winger
  19. No and no. Good and I disagree. Oh and I agree that Owen should be dropped in favour of Vassel. One is on form the other is not, right now we need everyone on form
  20. Well although King did do very well he's not the player Terry is. John is the starter, Ledley is not - simple as that. As for the youngster comment, well that's rubbish isn't it. Terry can't be a day older than 25 and King is what, 22? That's hardly a good argument point now is it. His time will come if he's good enough.
  21. Wonder when they'll go in with a crazy offer for Rooney
  22. Hey, I've posted a few times that I think we'll win it! I was just trying to make the point that France have Zidane on the left and no-one criticises them. France make me laugh - arguably the best team in the world?!! Don't make me laugh C'mon you Swiss
  23. HEY, HEY, HEY..... WE rescued Europe twice!!! Let's not be silly here
  24. Have you ever been to Ireland? Because you're clearly talking rubbish, there is just as much drink-related violence here as there is in England, Dublin has the most of any city I've ever been out in, it's a war-zone on weekend nights. Do you mind, you're ruining the perfectly good image of all English citizens being hooligans and all other European countries as being saints, especially those Turks
  25. How can you be delighted that rovers are turning up a chance to get a very good left sided player who will only get better with a club like ours? This would be an investment for when chelski come in 3 years time and buy him for a £17milllion get out clause! Got to be worth us hanging around slowly upping the bid over time til they agree! or we could just say we'll give you andy todd and you give us MGP + £10million? Well I'll give you an example - Nathan Blake - £4.5m or so, complete panic buy, waaaaay overvalued. Now I'm not saying that Pederson will be cr@p, but I'm suggesting we should stick to what we feel he's worth and not overpay. By the sound of it they're surprised that we're not coming back, which would make my idea make sense
