Yes Pears gifted them 2 goals but we are a bunch of spineless soft arses. When there is no pressure on us we can play e.g. Newcastle and Leeds. As soon as an ounce of pressure is introduce they hide. That entire performance was a disgrace.
I thought we nullified them - albeit it wasn't a pretty game of football. Our GK just gifted them 2 goals and everyone knows we have nothing to turn to on the bench - heads went down when the third went in 'cos they knew a Szmodics hattrick was unlikely.

One of Wednesday's own players said that it felt like a home game.
They only sang when they were winning - poor effort.

only one side wanted that win, especially in the 2nd half and it was`nt us,,i`ll launch a personal campaign if they give gallagher a contract extension,he`s a woman
Down 3-1, Markanday (I think) plays a ball into the near post for a tap in. Gallagher pulls out of it.
A #9 takes ball and all into the back of the net there.

I should have stuck to my conviction and refused to go to Ewood Park again whilst Pears started in net for us.
He cost us against Ipswich and he gave away two calamitous goals again today. He can't play for us again.

Szmodics has active interest from 2 current prem teams and is practically sold, I would be surprised if fees aren't as good as agreed. Also led to believe he doesn't actually want to leave but it's bound to happen....
I don't mind selling players on - you have to understand your place in the food chain - but the transfer funds generated need to be reinvested into the playing squad. At the moment they're solely going into running costs.
You also have to get as much as you can out of the deal - you can't just give them away because a PL club comes calling.

PNE gifting another 3 points to a team in the relegation struggle.
What a joke team they are.

Bargain bucket names
Presuming we'd be playing 5 at the back
Jensen from Lincoln
Phoenix Patterson at Fleetwood/Gent to play left wing back as an attacking option to Pickering
Liam Bennet at right back a bit more industrial than Brittain, Sorensen from Lincoln a similar idea
Freddie Draper a young target man who may come on with a bit of support - also a great goal celebration
McAtee from Barnsley as a bit of a Dack attacking midfielder who scores a few.
All completed punts but have a bit to them and could come on with coaching. Good ages. The key next year provided we stay up is to try and spread goals a bit more through the team. Any serious money we do spend for me needs to be on the middle of the team (Keeper, centre back, centre mid, striker etc).
We should be all over Rotherham's GK. Offer them Pears and £500k.

russell martinball is soooo last season🤣
How he's not got that team promoted automatically is beyond me - and Swansea are suing him for breach of contract. What a guy.

Birmingham draw - we’re nearly there…
And a goal disallowed for offside too (their fans ran on the pitch). Wonderful stuff.
I had them down as taking all 3 there so that's about as good a result as we could have expected.

Have I mentioned how much I hate PNE? Pointless team.

Need a Rotherham result here, 'cos Huddersfield will fold now and they still have to play Birmingham.

That's got to be Huddersfield gone, right?

Get in Swansea!
Shocking defending, but a great finish.

The bottom of the PL is objectively terrible. About 6 clubs deserve to go down.

This can't be the same Sorba Thomas that played for us - his delivery into the box is fantastic.

Him, Goodwillie, Ferguson - maybe we should just stop signing Scots?

It's time we started making the team and fans suffer again in order to help our billionaire owners who've fecked up their own finances.
Oh and whilst we are at it helping a fat pig snout go deeper in the bonus trough.
Meanwhile back in the championship twelve thousand cheap season ticket bubbles were heard popping over Preston way the other night, lovely stuff.
You can always count on PNE to finish with a whimper somewhere in midtable.

Like the 5 sub rule - fundamentally changing the fabric of the game to benefit the bigger, richer clubs.

It’s a good point, under JDT )and Eustace at Sunderland) we’ve put in some cracking away performances and results - but at home, when did we last give a team a hiding?
Outside of cup games against lower league opposition, we haven't this season.

For me personally, the 1 point we earned against Southampton and the 3 points we earned against Leeds make up for the 4 dropped against Rotherham and Millwall at home. Both were must wins and we drew them both. They are bonus points They made up for the points we shouldn't have dropped in my opinion.
We drew against Rotherham and Huddersfield at home, lost to QPR at home and lost to Huddersfield away all within a few weeks.
JDT was literally taking us down.

Rovers are now -13 goal difference and -18 points from corresponding fixtures last season.
We're £25m richer though, which is the main thing for our CEO.

Its recognition of what we all know---the Championship is the most exciting League in Britain.
As they say, any team can beat any other on any given day. I get bored to tears with the Premier League
Exciting, perhaps, but the quality is dire.

Im not sure that Brittain is the prototype for the sort of full back we need. Pickering is more reliable than Brittain IMO, but we only have one senior full back on each side contracted into next season so we need one of each. JRC is much better than Brittain at full back but I am not against having him as a midfielder more often, the issue is he cant be one of 2 full backs AND a midfielder so we need to choose where we intend to use him, midfield seems a good shout. Shame he isn't more robust and we don't have more than 1.
Cant argue with your analysis of what we need. Id say 1 or 2 strikers dependant on Gallagher, 2 pacy wingers, another attacking midfielder, (if Szmodics stays, if not 2) 2 full backs and a new keeper are needed, we are miles short. A centre back and another midfielder lesser priorities. Obviously we wont get near that and itll all be with buttons.
Pickering gets done for pace and targeted every week.
If he was quicker he'd be a fantastic Championship footballer. As it is he's average and gets rinsed some weeks.

Think that's just who he is as a manager. He'll be a positive affirmation guy - personally I'd be throwing teacups at the players in the dressing room, but he'll be telling them all to keep their chins up.
