I totally agree with this, Brittain is one of the best ‘proper’ RB’s in the league. He was massively hampered by injury last year so I don’t think we got to see him at full tilt. The game early on against WBA when it was about 36 degrees he was incredible.

I’d like to see JRC pushed into that Hesges role, would provide defensive strength higher up on the right and give him license to roam. That extra defensive cover might also allow Buckley and Wharton to play in the same team. Buckley and Tronstad at the base of 5 man midfield.

I’m unsure about JRC in midfield; I think he’s having a lot of success because of his hybrid role. When we attack he’s like an extra man popping up everywhere. It must be difficult to play against.

Amazing to think he’s one of the first on the team sheet now. It’s almost as big a turnaround as BB to BBD was!

I mentioned him on the transfer thread. Wondered if he was one who may kick on this season. Can’t fault his pedigree, captain of Barca youth so must have something about him.

Maybe we’ll end up winning the league with a load of kids like Man Yoo did that time. Jim can tell us we won’t win anything with kids so it’ll be pretty much a carbon copy 😂

Cant buy anything anymore from the Roverstore online. This only started happening last year, I’ve been buying merchandise previously for years.

Lined up to buy the new third shirt but card not working, only thing I can think of is that being based in Jersey they will no longer send here, which is stupid.

Tried contacting them last year, and they just advised to check my card details or my bank. It’s definitely an issue their end.

You could try signing up for an online card like Revolut?

    Top to bottom;

Pastizzi are filo pastry filled with either ricotta cheese or mushy peas

Qassat are short crust pastry with either ricotta cheese or mushy peas or spinach laced with anchovies

Timpana is macaroni in bolognaise sauce baked in a pie

Maltese will also bake your cheeseburger patty with onions in a pie and sausages with cheese in a pie.

And yes Maltese kids are the fattest in Europe. There is the Mediterranean diet then there is Malta..

The one time I visited Malta I had the most amazing meat and potato pie from a little bakery in Valletta. Maybe the best pie I’ve ever had. The girlfriend had one of those Timpana pies, but she thought it had rabbit in so didn’t really enjoy it.

Edit: found a photo I took of the pie shop! 😂

Swag is about as transparent as it gets, to most. He’ll be slightly worried a fan driven game will be better received than any of the shite ideas he and his cronies have tried. So in that event it’ll be it’s “us” not the guys actually doing it.

He’ll try and take some credit for it no doubt.

Let me also test the water with this...would anyone be interested in one of these ?

For absolute clarity - it would be our logo due to copyright etc...but I quite fancy one for myself if nobody else 😀

I’d fancy one of those. What material would it be? A hoodie type thing or waterproof? (I’d probably like both actually! 😂).

    Rather than just the normal platitudes - why not answer the following;

    1. is a company that sells addictive toys to children an appropriate sponsor

    2. Do we want a tacky and badly designed logo on the front of our shirts?

By law they are to be sold only to adults. They aren’t toys, they are successful way to give up harmful tobacco and have saved many many lives.

Read my post again and you'll see that I state gambling as well. I have fought a gambling addiction for nearly 10 years now so I feel very strongly about betting companies not being given exposure in any way, whether that be on the front of a footy shirt or on a giant billboard. Very easy to sit behind a keyboard and make a judgment about someone without knowing their reasons for their opinion isn't it.

As for booze companies...yeah, in this day and age I don't particularly like the idea of that either. As a kid I obviously have had a fair few Rovers tops with gambling companies and of course McEwans Lager on the front, but this was when I was young and didn't know any better. My feelings are that football clubs generally shouldn't be parading around with company logos of things that can cause mental or physical health problems and addiction. Am I wrong for thinking that? I don't know, it's just my opinion.

Call it what you want; moaning for the sake of moaning or whatever but that is simply how I feel about the situation. I understand the business and financial side of things in regards to shirt sponsors, but I don't have to like it either!

They are used to help people stop an addiction that caused physical health problems. Nicotine in itself is quite harmless, caffeine is quite possibly more harmful.

But its such a bad look for the club?

Vaping is so extremely bad for you.

Waggot said he was happy we weren't advertising gambling anymore, but have now moved onto vaping?

Not sure if you're on the wind up or not?

Any science that it’s bad for you?

As a secondary school teacher I couldn’t agree anymore unequivocally.

Weve managed to make nicotine more appealing to kids, for short term gain and long term health and environmental damage…

and people like Chaddy think this is fine to advertise…

The kids would most likely smoke cigarettes, if not e-cigarettes. They aren’t specifically being targeted by vape companies.

I'm of the opinion that Vaping will eventually be found to be even worse than smoking.

Again, any science to back this up? Maybe you’ve been brain washed by American propaganda?

I find the anti-vaping view on here very strange. They save lives. Maybe the sponsorship could help people make the switch from the 100% deadly tobacco?

I don’t want them to be sold to kids and I think disposable devices should be banned(for an environmental view point).

Sdly it isn't even a question of luck, or hard work (correlated in Thomas Jefferson's quote, "The harder I work, the luckier I get") as we are clearly working very hard. The problem we face, as pointed out by Sky, LET, The Guardian, my Dingle neighbours and many six fingered colleagues at work, is we have no-one to put the ball in the net.

Monday has to see the return of the MDack, and someone with the striker's label up front..

We aren't getting into anything other than next season's Championship unless we can somehow suddenly start scoring goals.

    More of this please...

COYB time to wakey wakey. Give us SOMETHING to shout about, and a little signing off pressie, PLEASE!

I think we should go 442 and stick Brereton and Dack up front. We’ve had the SAS, so let’s try BAD! 😂
