We were linked with Østigård (the player with the disallowed goal) in the summer. Shame we didn't sign him, pretty sure he would be fit and a better option than Branthwaite/Ayala.

The facebook crowd prove you can fool some of the people all of the time. Nobody posting on here during the game said that we 'played really well'.
@chaddyroversargues that a new appointment is needed now and I agree. I saw a poster say we appointed Souness with 15 games to go in a season and he got us promoted. It can happen, again. I hope the rumours of negotiations with Hughes are true and near fruition. I think Venkys need to focus on one target and build a management team around him and I hope that's what they are doing.
Relying on Venkys to do the right thing is a very unusual place to be. I believe Venkys will act in a timely fashion, this time. I have faith.
Is there a rumour about Hughes?

These schoolboy cb's are not making life easy for Kaminski. Good save there, but no one to follow up and clear the ball.

Dan Pike has number three as his squad number which was Derrick Williams' number. I posted a while ago that he has left but for some bizarre reason the club don't want to announce it.
I think that Pike's squad number is 40.

No Lenihan today and Bell is back.

Seems like Stergiakis is having a good game?

The problem is that Bennet is not very good in any of those positions.
Yes I know.

“I'm at a stage now where I have some really tough decisions to make," Mowbray admitted. " Because Elliott Bennett and Corry Evans are now back available”
Lord help us if those two make selection decisions difficult.Surely these two have to be furthest down the line in the midfield queue? When everyone is fit, will they even make the bench?
Only reason I can see that Bennett possibly would be on the bench is that he can play in several positions.

Martin Samuelson- remember him
released from Hull and signed for danish team aab perm. I remember he was lauded as a talent but seems like he hasn’t really kicked on as expected. Certainly his time with us was underwhelming
Actually at some point he looked better than Martin Ødegaard. Don't know what happend to him, I think he made some wrong choices career wise.

I don't know much about this young City lad, but it seems like he is highly rated. Surely not coming in to sit on the bench? 3 at the back?

I think we should loan him out now in january. IF he is as good as someone on this board says, he should be able to play himself into a League 1 or 2 side, maybe that experience could "wake him up". If he can't play regulary on that level I think we should let him go in the summer.

If this is going to happen, Mowbray will have to be sent PACKING - doesn't he know we are a sandwich short of a picnic AT THE BACK....
It is either shockingly stupid journalism, some no-note on a wind up, or more evidence that TM has his head up his arse. *(could be all three, I suppose).
Also yes.

IF this is going to happen, Trybull will have to be sent back to Norwich.

So Mowbray says that we haven't bid for Pickering ?
"He said: “I don’t know about that to be honest.
“We’ve got two left backs, I’m not sure where that came from.
“We’ve got Barry Douglas, we’ve got Amari’i Bell, it would seem mad to me to sign a left back when you haven’t got any centre halves.”
Very strange comment when it's been confirmed from Crewe that we had made a bid.

What’s there manager like ? Any good or a one season wonder ?
He took over Bodø/Glimt when they were in the first division and won promotion. "Everyone" thought that they would go straight down again, but they won silver that year. And after that season they sold two of their biggest stars, but he managed to replace them both. One of those players that he brought into the team have already be sold again (Hauge to Milan). This season they won the league and broke almost every record there was to break.
He is a nice and honest guy, plays 4-3-3 and likes to give young players a chance.

I mentioned this player in the summer, looks like he is set to sign for Watford. Player of the year in our league, 28 games, 19 goals and 24 assists. Crazy numbers! It will be interesting to see how he will adapt to English football.

Sorry but don't think the lad has it and never will have.
If some think PL clubs sniffing at £10million then they must be as p1ssed as I will be at midnight tonight.
I agree, if he is our biggest asset of the young ones, I feel that at the age of 21 he should be playing regulary. Maybe a loan in january.
