A promotion team needs 4 or 5 players scoring double figures.
Agree with a lot of what you said but I’m calling BS on this one. Typically the teams promoted will have 2 or 3 above 10 goals. Norwich won the league last year with 2 players above 10 and Brentford had 1 player above 10 goals.
for completion Watford had 1 player above 10 and he only scored 13. They went up second. Sharing goals around is more important than having all the eggs in one basket.

Typical. They announce a new owner on the night we play. Bound to give them a lift.

Bristol city score at Fulham. Now a win for them would make it a bloody good day for us.

Sky mentioning that Neco Williams may need to go out on loan to get some match time. He’d be a full back I’d be happy to see here for the rest of the season.

England u21 so must be OK...he's been outstanding throughout the age groups....we should be getting the best Lancashire players not feckin Bournemouth.....meanwhile we go gambling on the Scottish Jonah......
Like Buckley? Or does getting the best Lancashire talent only apply when you’re not berating the club for not signing someone you know??

I think there’s a real closeness in the squad. Dack and BBD bromance has been good to see and I can’t help but think Ben will be keen to see it through and get promotion with us. I may be wrong but I’m hoping that’s the case.

This is definitely the type of game we’d lose in the past.

I do wonder if there’s some movement on the contract situation based on our current position in the league.
Does the chance of premier league football with us now make us a slightly better proposition to the out of contract players.

We now have 14 going against Brum, it was 3 earlier in the week.
I don't care about the pricing, its the product on the pitch and feel good factor created by the players, manager and winning games thats bringing us to Ewood on Saturday.
It was going to be my first game at Ewood for a while but it’s the Wife’s birthday and funnily enough she didn’t fancy it lol.

We should definitely not sell in January if we are in amongst the playoffs. Not a chance. As Gav mentioned, you don’t sell your top scorer when pushing for promotion. The £20m is dwarfed if we end up with promotion.

Not going to get Sturridge on a free as he’s gone to Perth Glory

Highlights how threadbare our squad is
-
Awful so far. Could easily be two or three down.
-
Didn’t someone on here have him at silly odds to get 20 league goals? Bet the odds are smaller now
-
On the news story I read it also mentioned that Chile have stepped down their action against the English based players (isn’t Ben the only one??)

Just looking at the list of free transfers. I’m not sure if he’s fit as he’s had issues before and I know his background down the road will count against him for some but Robbie Brady could be worth a look if TM wants to add to his collection of midfielders. He may still live fairly locally as well I guess.

Talk about a way to burst the early season optimism: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19525768.mowbrays-message-blackburn-rovers-fans-contract-renewals/
I didn’t realise Lenihan was in his last year too. Potentially we’re going to lose 4 of our best assets next summer for free - save for a few peanuts for Nyambe. Criminal.
Why mention that we would have broken the pay structure for Arma? Surely that’s the quickest way to alienate the players we are talking to about extensions.
“Yeah, we’d love you to stay but you’re not as good as Arma so we won’t pay you any more”.
Just seems no point in mentioning the Arma discussions now he’s gone.

Free agents are very rarely free they command a higher signing on fee a higher salary and there’s very little sell on fee
which of course is completely different to a loan signing 🤔
I’m pretty sure their demands will be dropping daily as the deadline looms. Once the deadline passes they can’t be registered until January so would miss out on a few months wages. Reckon they may be a bit keener to drop their demands at that stage.

Mowbray and Waggott are going to be in for a shock when they realise they can't negotiate an additional £3m again with Southampton after Armstrong has already signed.
Shambles, we should have signed Obafemi first. 🤣🤣🤣
I’m guessing they would have something written into the agreement. Even this lot aren’t stupid enough to fall for that otherwise… oh hang on…
